My kind seem like we are worthless,
We are mistakes from creation and we are useless;
A man's world they say, then why need a woman to make it complete and even better;
Construct transactional love of trade by barter;

Opportunistic Men everywhere afterwards they refer to my kind as materialistic,
'cause that's how my kind understand her existence
In disregard to her womanhood and refer it as realistic;
But my kind we are rising in her outward Prudence;

With great understanding of whatever my kind is given she multiplies;
Yes my kind is worthless because you can't price or quantify her worth,
Yes she's invaluable and beyond calculable or appraisable value with inestimable worth
My Kind, We are PRICELESS.

Nice poem. You speak of oppression from the male folk. But, why do I detect a hint of feminism in your poem?

Well, I can't say I do. But I believe anyone who's tired of depending on another human being should look for ways to make themselves independent, not ride on sentiment etc.

crymy poem isn't outta sentiment, our older ones I mean the 60s 70s,they were trained to be a man sex tool and to please their husbands, sadly some men still carry that mentality, that's the opportunistic men I'm referring to because now they make love into a transaction...

If you love a woman it would be your topmost priority to make her happy but now they tell you if you want this, you have to do this... it kills me that's why I wrote the poem, so there is no feminism in the poem but appraise and appreciation because we are beginning to understand we are priceless and work to make ourselves happy...are we good now?

THE SHACKLES OF THE FEMALE CHILD

One's life must matter, Dennis. Beyond all the cooking and the cleaning and the children. One's life must mean more than that. I cannot die washing up teacups! I mean it, Denis. Say you understand.
- Margaret Thatcher

They say she’s got an inferior brain, and she isn’t fully human… the girl, the “FEMALE CHILD.” Gender discrimination, rooted in history, rooted in Tradition, deeply rooted in culture. The traditions of men, religion which is the misunderstanding of scriptures. So next time they ask you what’s your religion, they asking you your angle of misunderstanding of scriptures. The twisted mentality of the society, all have placed the female child in shackles, shackles Trailed by limitations, the disguised of evil, clawing, gnashing, tearing at the “FEMALE CHILD.” Slavery Disguised. Yeah, I call it slavery, I call it evil, they call it Religion, Culture, and Traditions and some other false names by vague minds. Funny how man always make excuses for his ignorance, But I call it “THE SHACKLES OF THE FEMALE CHILD.”

I say slavery is still alive, We’ve been hiding him ignorantly, hiding slavery in our subconscious, and our girls ends up his victims, and pays the price… His victims they end up being… and this we are seeing.

Girls shouldn’t do these, don’t do this, girls don’t do that, you can’t wear that, you, you don’t have that right… these are your duties. Those are not meant for you, excuses of traditions, excuses of religion, excuses of society, excuses of ignorance, excuses of law, excuses of excuses of excuses so they skip skip, annoying excuses, potential killing excuses. Killing the potentials of our girls like the aquarium kills that of the fishes, like the zoo cripples that of the animal inmates, Just to place her firmly in shackles. Shackles of limitations. Bondage.

Look at her, see, she’s been taught to be shackled right from when she was a girl, she’s been taught to be inferior she grows up a woman infected with the dis-ease, inferiority complex. They say she’s not as important as the male… See the evil… they even say educating the boy is more important, training the boy is more important, empowering the boy is more important, every about the boy is more important cos the girl’s got a substandard brain, so less important she is. Of no importance.

Hey, Mr. Important hahaha… then boy grows up to be an important man, marries the girl in shackles who’s now a woman, and less important, boy who’s being taught the girl is a domestic subject, domesticates her, beats her up when necessary, rape when necessary, after all the necessaries must occur cos of it’s necessities. She can’t go to school, even if she does or did, she still doesn’t matter as she’s not meant to hold positions or offices, even when she’s set herself free by knowledge and makes it to the offices… see evil… she’s got enemies like Egypt against Israel, like some America, against Bin Laden, like GOD against satan.

Liable to abuse of all sorts, when she tries to speak up, he shouts her down, down, down, if she doesn’t go down, damn! He puts her down, she’s has to stay down.
Hey, Mr. Important abuse doesn’t only apply to physical violence even mental violence: your wrong thoughts, and vices are same, even wrong beliefs about our girls and that’s not amusing. That is tantamount to abuse too.
They say she’s weak cos the scriptures say so, misunderstanding of scriptures, breeding the spirit of religion. Scriptures says treat her as if she were fragile, not she’s weak, she isn’t weak. If you think she is, carry a baby for nine months, don’t forget some carries two, three, and even four of them. Try to be an incubator after her order. She multiplies everything you give her. Give her sperm and you get a baby, give her groceries get a meal, give her love get peace round about. Those ain’t the nature of a weakling, GOD says I create an help meet, to help meet his needs and standards, she’s not a domestic subject.
Gender inequality in professional, educational and public spheres, gender equality isn’t human rights issues, it’s sanity we are talking about. Enough of this insanity and the spirit of wickedness. Woman, you got your liberty all the while, you don’t fight, nor strive for what is already yours. All you need do, is manifest it.

WOMAN, Stop fighting for what is yours. Liberty is yours. All you need do is live it. Social attitudes must change, not just the laws only.

“We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the same boat now.” —Martin Luther King, Jr.

They are falling because now when females are abused they leave. They have the choice your grandma didn't undecided

Your grand pa was monogamous, how niiiiice of him doing what should be expected. Did you ever ask if your grandma was happy being sold like a goat to live with a man she's never met before? If she even had a say in the matter undecided

Smhhh

What I'm trying to say is your grandma wasn't treated like a human being. She had no choice in her marriage yet you were implying that's the ideal form of how marriage should be today?

Is that how you respect womanhood?

maybe you should have used anoda suitable description. i only said my grandmother never met my grandfather until they got married....How can you now conclude she was married against her will...i didn't give any further insight about them but you were quick to conclude. Not every marriage then was a forced one and the fact is that my grandmother was never forced.....Thank you.

It's your kind that you will blame...

Ur kind is fighting what I call a 'Mirage Fight'.

I beg to differ on your first 4 lines.... too much vitriol in there.. Yes it's your prerogative to shape your..narrative but...to be striking you should make us (your avid readers) see why line 1- 4 about "your kind" is erroneous.

I don't c y'all that way tho... but i'm just saying... wink

Nice poem.... You have enlisted into the feminist army.
Buh before this battle of equality is won by the the female folks, they have got a lot of things to work on.

Thumbs up to you! I enjoyed reading every line. You just inspired me to start posting again.
I wouldn't comment on the theme and tone of the poem, just the fact that I enjoyed reading it on a literary level.
