Hello NewMum

Hope it's going well on preparation to submit? Please You've got mail! It's JD related. Help a sister!

Newmum0615:
Yeah I know jare. I was not planning to leave this year. Was looking at next year. We have a project at hand and my family ties here are just holding me back. Not hurrying for school either, my first son turns 4 next year. It's not a bad idea though.
Will give it a thought. Thanks.

Hi all,
please how does gift deed work?
If for example I just received my ITA and don't have enough money in my account, can I start asking a sponsor to fund my account to make up the rest and will my sponsor need to write a letter or something to show that the money they paid was a gift.

Please help, I need answers thanks

Hi, there is a link on page 0 about gift deeds. You will get good info from there. If you require clarification, you can ask.

Hi sleekchic, I was working on this yesterday. Will respond today. The question is, will you be able to get your employer to modify the letter?
For number two, I think it's ok to get the reference letter now. I haven't seen any specific requirement on that but ensure the date is not too far from when you intend to submit.
I received mine 3 days after entering the pool and 1 day before ITA in December. So I think you are fine.
sleekchic:

Hello @newmum0615 please can you help me check that I didn't over copy NOC 4031 (PHE teacher in secondary school) I got my reference letter today.
1. Teach students using a pre approved lecture note, textbook and other materials
2. Administer and correct classwork as well as homework
3. Prepare and grade tests and examination papers.
4. Attend all staff meetings
5. Evaluate each student and document their program and improvement.
6. Discuss progress of students with the school authorities when necessary.
7. Attend parents-teachers meetings and discuss each student 's process with parents.
8. Council students on personal hygiene and health.

Please my 2nd question is that I hope it doesn't matter that my reference letter carries today's date when I plan to submit my application around April.

Thanks

You need to reduce the resolution of your camera to as low as 1MP. With this you can scan multiple documents and it just might be under 4mb.

Thats what i did anyways for over 17pages and it was just 3mb.

Hi guys. kindly help with compression options for PDF. I have used small PDF to compress my POF docs from 75mb to 14.5mb and ilovepdf and smallpdf says they cannot compress anymore without significant loss of quality.

Please help, what do i do to compress this further to the 4MB or so IRCC accepts.

You can use either. Check their sites to know which would work best for you with respect to cost and/or completion timeliness

You can pursue EE from anywhere. I think you guys should pursue this now (443 is a sweet score), and maybe later, he pursues the desired masters degree in a Canadian university as a PR. That makes it even easier and cheaper.

You can also decide to go for the UK masters and commence your application afterwards. If you apply now and get a PR before proceeding to the UK, chances are that you may not be able to spend the required number of years/days in Canada that'll qualify you for a Canadian citizenship application. The choice is yours.

Thanks for your input. I successfully compressed it with an online PDF service but the bank statements texts and some other texts got really blurred. If i scan again using a lower DPI, it will end up worse...this is really confusing.

Please please and please if the document is blurred do not submit it. How many pages is the document? Why don't you get a letter in the required format instead of statements

You are welcome to the DIY thread.

First use this to check you crs scorehttp://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Prepare well, register and write IELTS (General) and aim for LSRW 8777

Then evaluate your highest degree alone (Masters, Bsc or HND+ND)

Try and read page 0 part 3

I also got to know about this thread few days ago, Am I good to apply with this score below?

It's stated clearly.

I do notthink your answer is right, however, I stand to be corrected...haba, start over again? just because of Expired Naija passport and Expired Medicals??
Well I think during the PPR, your passport should be valid for the next 12months before you now have the COPR. So if you are still in Naija for another 11 months after COPR, that means you intentionally forfeited the visa.

75mb? That's quite alot, what are u really uploading?
Scan your documents to 100dpi that will help in reducing the size, then you Can compress if it's still big

You need to send a copy of your degree certificate or statement of result to WES via hellofax.com (preferably) and then contact your school to send your transcript(s) directly to WES.

Hello Bro, I sent you a pm. I need explanation on how to use the hellofax. I want to send a document to WES.

Kindly respond to my pm please.

NASU has suspended strike
Kontagious:
The six weeks is not entirely true, though some applicants experience delays of some sort. Normally, your request should be treated within 3 to 4 weeks.

The Unilag site is actually running but the transcript page is off, if it remains off till (or after) NASU calls off their strike, try get to senate if you can, if not, send a proxy that gets things done.
