Well, i just got demoted to level 1 from level 2 seller badge.

No thanks to completed order cancellation from some scammer buyers.

Also no thanks to some stupid buyers who won't read the gig description to know what you are
actually offering before placing order and you have to cancel the order.

Fiverr management won't even listen to seller side of the story before dropping
some percentage from ones order completion rate.

Fiverr at time can be very frustrating despite giving it your best and all.

I think i will focus more on my affiliate marketing since am getting
passive sales and commission here.

Hello MrPhysics
Your story is inspiring! I've read three of your threads and I just couldn't help being motivated.
Can I send you an email so we can have some conversation? I'd like to learn some things in private.

Everyone of us experience this. The thought of knowing that I will be demoted from a level I earned is something else. Though I wasn't demoted by it changes nothing.

The most affected people are the TRS who got demoted to Level 2 and will now have to wait for 14 days fund clearance period
Re: Fiverr: Preparing For January 15th Evaluation by Emmyk(m): 6:13pm On Jan 16, 2018
Someone was giving a stat. yesterday that about 50% of sellers (Writing niche) were demoted from Level 2.

I have lots of friends that were demoted too.

Good thing, the evaluation is monthly, so everyone can have their badges back, once they meet up the requirements.

If it's your response rate that made you lose the badge, you can ask your friends who are on Fiverr to send you a message, and you reply them ASAP, it's going to increase your response rate by 1%, I think per person.

Though it's really not easy, because most of us, we have clients from USA, different timezone, you can't be jumping off bed by 3am in the night to reply a new enquiry.

Another suggestion.

Deliver orders very early, you can set 4 days when you know you'd finish the work in 1 day, then deliver ASAP. That's also going to boost your On-time Delivery.

Except when client specifically tells you when they need the job done. wink

If I may ask, what gig/services do you offer on fiverr?

mrphysics:
Fastcopy: Shares his demotion experience. From TRS to Level 2

Well, life sucks. I’ve been DEMOTED to level 2. So what happens now? Do I have to wait 14 days to get paid instead of 7?

“Maintain a 4.8 star rating, over the course of 60 days”

Really? I guess I should delete every lucrative gig under 4.8. Is that what you want?

This new system is GARBAGE.

There’s even a section called
Achieve these goals to be nominated for a Top Rated Seller

I have achieved all those goals already! But one stupid 4.7 and I get demoted.

What a joke, no respect for those of us that have been on Fiverr for a long time. Not even level 2’s get respect, some have been demoted to level 1. So what happens to the ones at level 1? Will they get deactivated.

I have earned $65,194.70 on Fiverr, so you can imagine that their 20% must be. That has no value? Whatever.

Stop screwing sellers! Without sellers, there won’t be buyers!

Fiverr is indeed a life saver. To those of us that scaled through, I say congrats. To those that didn't, don't give up.

General advice:
➡ Master a skill and be a pro in it.
➡ Check what your competitors are offering and offer something better.
➡ Ensure you have a professional and irresistible profile.
➡ Don't jump from one service to the other. You'll never earn anything if you do so.
➡ Exercise patience. I spent 3 months on Fiverr after opening my account without making up to $100.
➡ Never stop learning.

Peace!

@darmochy can you please guide me on fiverr, I'm a new seller and have not made any sales. Will appreciate your reply.

mrphysics:
The truth is, most sellers are not aware of January 15th evaluation. It's going to be a judgement day for most sellers. So many sellers are going to fiverr hell, I pray I am not one of them.

Sellers that successfully scale through this rating will have more others than they ask for. Reasons being that, most sellers are not aware that these factors are necessary.

Someone told me that her rating is currently 84% while another guy suffered two 2 star review.

Check your analytics now and know your fate.

I scaled through too, although narrowly.
My writing journey started right here on nairaland (writing for nairalanders who outsource) but have since moved to fiverr and I'm glad that I built up my skill first before joining.

I was shocked when I found out that the real value of what i was writing for my nairaland client was way higher in reality(copywriting) and with that zeal, I earned my level one and two in no time at all by sleeping on the buyer request. In fact, the BR was like my WhatsApp, Facebook, I never logged out, never bought a review. I would send bids for days and not get hired until it started trickling in.

my advice to all new sellers: There is really no magic trick, keep sending bids as they come, you may have dry spells(days of no orders or even contact from potential clients) but when the orders start coming, you will start selecting what to work on. Master your skill and keep on bidding, these were my only weapons as a newbie. But now, I have learnt how to upsell my services.

A quick question to you @mrphysics , I've been writing quite consistently but only manage to hit the $300 mark every month. Could you drop some pointers as to the nature of writing you do to drive in the big bucks as you posted above. nothing too specific, just a few tips (perhaps writing sub-niches to get into and other high pricing gigs to create)

Gotta hand it to you, your thread on how you made 60,000 was inspiring as I was on the same path at that point. it's impressive how real our progress is on this. More ink to your pen, and gentle breeze to sooth any impending writers block.

Wow, this is really inspirational. I had to copy your second paragraph to someone I met on twitter and who has been complaining of not receiving orders from BR page.

To your question. My basic gig is $40, Standard gig $70, and premium gig is $120. So you see how easy it is to earn that. I always have more orders coming from my standard gig and my premium gig. So it is easy to hit that target. This January, I have been getting orders from my basic gigs and its been so difficult. Thus far, i have earned $744 though I have 4 gig in queue. If completed before January ends (as they will be) I should make between $900 - $1k this month (I do not want this month to end without my hitting that target).

So the issue is having gigs in high selling niche. If you are a copywriter who writes for $15, $20, $25, you will realize that it will be very hard to hit that point. I scaled through the evaluation though and I thank God for that. So if you can do copywriting, then you can write books too. Books will give you a higher price/order thus increasing your earning. I have completed only 104 orders with a total earning of $5500.

You might move very fast to level 2 offering copywritig gigs, but the total earning will be around $2000. So do include book writing to your services (create a gig for it).

Yes, the period I was writing for someone, I never knew I was preparing myself. Earning N400k+, N300k+, etc aside monthly salary is encouraging. Everyday, I spend my time in fiverr forum reading and learning from TRS sellers and other sellers. I will take time to read that my thread again, lol, let me ride through memory lane. Kudos to you bro. More $$$$ to your account

Me I don't know how, but I do this. I wake up in the middle of the night to check if I have messages that i will need to reply to.

It's not easy bro. There are sellers looking for work, so those of us that get it should utilize the opportunity. I always have the goal of getting as much money as I can on fiverr, so I try my best to reply messages and reject so many too.

To create a new account, you must be mindful of the laptop you are using. If fiverr notices that you are using the same IP to access different accounts, they will block the two accounts. That is why you should be careful of who uses your account to access fiverr. And if you must access two accounts with one laptop, be sure to always clear your browser cookies or cache any time you want to.

To be on a safer side, use one account. So start everything from the beginning and be sure to clear cookies before starting the next registration

Excellent!
in fact, your post about moving to level two very fast with about $2000 is astonishingly accurate! I just crossed $2000 myself with over 90 orders completed.

I really thought copywriting was where the money's at but I really have to to get into book writing immediately.

How much would you charge for...say a 5000 word book? its time to create a gig.

yes. you really should read that thread, its always good to look back on the journey fondly as it helps to appreciate the distance covered.

Thanks a lot for the pointers bro. More $$$$$$ and ink to your pen.
