Cool! I see a future Lecturer consultant

Lol.....

Does d msc biochemistry give any advantage in residency in histopathology?

I ask because just got admitted to mbbs uniabuja last week and am yet to finish my course work at uniagric makurdi (msc biochemistry) as dey are resuming 2nd semester on Monday 5th. And I was recently enlightened on d rigorous effort needed at the mbbs program.

My question is
1. Should I back out of the msc now considering I haven't started spending much as regards @thesis and research?
And do the msc later

2. Should I try to juggle both programs at both schools? Considering that uniagric msc has a extremely slow academic calendar

3. Or SHOULD I FORGET the msc and focus on the mbbs. Then do a residency in histopathology or even taking the USLME?

PLEASE DON'T BITE JUST ADVICE......

hmm this one pass me o.
From the options provided, I see that you are not willing to back out of studying Medicine. This means you love it and what you love should have your undivided attention.
Like you wrote, uniagric has a slow calendar and you haven't spent much as regards your thesis and research.
From the points stated above, my inexperienced self would advice that you abandon the M.Sc. You can do it later (though I'm not seeing that happening)

Unimed is a state university... with more priority for indigenes of Ondo state.
however, if you are on merit, nothing will stop u. I wish u well.

Good morning everybody, I pray and hope someone replies this because I’ve not gotten any luck with previous posts.

I’m almost done with medical school and i am interested in public health, so I was wondering, after writing my mdcn exam, can I forgo the internship and go straight for my masters or do I have to do that too.
Thank you in advance for your advice

With my very limited knowledge of the practice out of school, I can assume that you do not want to practice medicine at all.

cos the internship is compulsory to be licensed to practice.

however, to gain admission for MPH program in most schools that offer it ,(NB- most of the schools run the MPH program only for licensed doctors & dentists) you will need to do your internship so you can be licensed fully.

as I said earlier, its just from the very little I know.

senior colleagues can do well to say something

try your luck. If you get a course like biochemistry or anatomy. Accept it. you can cross in 200l provided you reach up to 4.5.

Modified. Basically if you get any course apart from Physiotherapy, Nursing and you applied for MBBS. You can always cross but I'll tell you 4.5 in this school is not easy

Pls Docs in the house, if any one with useful advice here will be highly appreciated. Am a 100 level medical student in Edo university Iyamho but my school is very expensive(1.5m per year) so am considering the option of transferring to unimed in ondo state or unimaid Maiduguri in second year, so if any one here know how the process of transferring to these two versities is done I will appreciate.
the inter university university transfer works quite well if you're applying to unimed.

Bro, both schools are accredited by the council. that means they both have the required minimum standard to train a doctor in Nigeria.

But if you have any other factor you want to consider; maybe state of origin(You shud have a beta chance of entering lasu if you are an indigene)

its left to you
