Seriously, there is no contender to the Redmi note 5 currently from our local guys here, I mean in terns of anything. Being a good buy is depends on the knowledge of the buyer actually, but I will say its a good buy compared to the way they usually overprice their products. You just can't even compare the Helio P23 with the S650, let alone the S636, don't let the the way Qualcomm name their processors fool you. In many of the videos I watched, the S625 even trumps the Helio P23 (though by a slight margin, the Helio P23 actually won in some videos too by similar margin).

Some time ago, this was how some folks were comparing the Helio X20 to the S820 just because of the Tecno Phantom 6 plus, funny people, at the end of the day, even the Snapdragon 625 proved to be even better overall, using both versions of the Redmi note 4 as case study.
