It is an auto immune disorder whereby youR immune system fights your skin. You just have to accept fate because there is no cure... if you are lucky, it will fade off by itself after a few years. Mine is only on my laps though but I have seen people have it all over there body

I have forgotten the name but it's there. It's a pity am no longer in Lagos would have helped you with the correct building address

She told me the drugs and cream I used for the treatment in the first place won't work, but she reaffirmed that it's AN ALLERGY like the Medical Doctor told me in the first place.
She prescribed another cream of which I have used for weeks, yet, no changes!

I am surprised that you had to go to a gynaecologist for a skin condition.

Anyway this is not a skin condition as you thought but the reaction is showing on your skin. There is however an underlying cause of this.

This is an inflammatory disease caused by your immune system attacking its own tissues. More like your body is fighting itself and this is why they could not detect anything at the lab.

I know what you have but before I can say it I need you to answer a few questions.

1) Do you sometimes or often feel pains in the muscles?

2) Do you sometimes feel pain while breathing?

3) Do you sometimes feel a sharp pain in the chest

4) Do you sometimes feel whole body fatigue or fever?

5) Does your mouth sometimes feel dry.

6) Are you suffering some form of hair loss or loss of scalp hair

7) Does your body feel sensitive to sunlight? I mean when under direct sunlight do the parts with the discoloration feel different?

Kindly respond to my questions then I can make things clear to you. Thank you

That is not lichen planus. The pictures she attached are clear enough to show it is not lichen planus. Her discoloration is not appearing above her skin level as raised rashes or a raised discoloration. It is at skin level or even assumed to be below her normal skin.

You are correct though when you said it is an auto immune problem but it isn't lichen planus.

I don't think there is anything to worry about if it's not itchy or painful, and all your blood tests come back fine. It doesn't seem to be a fungal infection, neither does it appear to be a true allergy. I would simply advice you keep the skin moisturised with a good emollient for now, it should go on its own. I'm simply assuming all the blood tests are fine i.e. HIV, FBC etc. It's best you see a good dermatologist though to get it properly assessed.

Their services are often expensive (they might refer you to their private practices) but you would likely get the best advice.

However from experience I will suggest you watch the food you eat.
I know of someone that was having skin issues, red spots caused by groundnuts.
Another issue I have encountered was caused by liquid milk

Start by adding detol to your bathing water. It helps. Then visit a dermatologist in a teaching hospital. They have days of consulting, so confirm the specific day so you don't go wasting your time on non consulting days.
