I believe that technology is advancing greatly and 2019 might be the year we see full bezelless displays without the mechanical or moving parts found in the oppo find x and Vivo nex respectively. The R&grin dept of some major OEMs would surely be hard at work to make it work. The race is on to find the first OEM that would achieve this feat.

I was really tempted by the Mi 8 but Oneplus' smaller notch makes more sense. Those notchless OEMs convinced me next flagships from Xiaomi would get my money. My Redmi Note 4 isn't complaining yet anyway.

Got my device today thanks to Holuwaxheun, he was very patient with my continuous and persistent questions.
This is my first xiaomi device and I thought I should use this Redmi 5 plus to test the waters.. It's the 4gb Ram 64gb Rom variant and I'm loving it so far.
The package was shipped on 2nd June and arrived Nigeria last week on the 13th of June but I couldn't pick it up then because of the public holidays. I paid #1,200 at the office before collection.

PS: When I powered the device, it showed "device unlocked" briefly before booting, what does that mean please?

Welcome into the Xiaomi family. Though the 1.2k payment was too much. Thank God, after the whole back and front, u were able to get the device.

Love the notch, love the aspect ratio because it would be smaller than the Redmi 5 but that processor should come with Helio p60 variant too for people who need the change.
