When I mean simulate, I mean try to see if for example you achieve certain milestones on the calculator, how many points do you have. So I know you said you're currently serving, at the end of the service year you will have 1year of work experience, so how old are you, do you have any other certificates apart from your bsc, are you a lawyer or did you study a 'professional' course, you'll also have to take the English language exam(IELTS), so let's say you achieve 8777 in LWRS what will your scores be. That's why I said you need to be on the other thread as well. Let me know your details so I can help with the calculator
Ok nice thank you for your time.. Could we go to maybe Telegram or WhatsApp? So I'll give my full details? Drop your Telegram or WhatsApp ID please..

Lol my landing gist is so boring and uneventful.
Travelled with 2 children on Egypt air. Flight waa good ,my children had packed meals from home so didn't eat plane food. Flight was delayed in LOS so the layover at Cairo wasn't so long .
When I landed ww spent less than 20 minutes at immigration. Only question asked was 'how much money did you bring to Canada'.signed my COPR after answering statutory questions and that of my children. Proceeded to do my SIN and went to pick up my bags.
Came out to a windy -10 C , my children were excited by it all ; my aunt picked us up . For now I have sorted my bank and phone number. Hope to get my kids to school by Monday

Hello,

I got someone residing in CA to pay on my behalf. I transferred the naira equivalent to his Nigerian account.

He raised a draft addressed to CPA, in favour of me. (So my full name was clearly written in the draft, as payment in favour of me)

Then he attached the bank draft to a print-out of the email trail showing my online order for the course.

Then submitted it at their office.

Immediately he submitted it, he then sent a mail to the same lady that responded to my order request sent via mail, to inform her that the draft had been paid... so they could process.

This was done the same day...infact within a few hours.

And as a sharp guy naa.... I finished the entire course in less than 2 days.

No time to waste. Especially considering the delay by CPA BC. Approximately 8 weeks to respond.

Newbeecey:
Hello, Please how did you pay for the course?

This will be deducted. They will ask you to send them a copy of your birth certificate.

However, I am still waiting for their feedback on this, as I am yet to be contacted to make payments yet.

Once they confirm all my documents satisfactory, then the payment for subscription+ membership comes up.

What stage have you reached?? and are u going through CPA British Columbia?

Hi Guys,

So I considered spreading my tentacles here to mark "Landing thesis"...

But it seems this group is made up of more serious people that may not be interested in my professorial services.

Should I go ahead? or not ??

Hello,

My application took 18 months before it was approved. However, my profile was updated from medical passed, then Background check in progress and no word anymore. I sent inquiries via the IRCC portal(response always generic) and ordered GCMS notes once.

Though, I was sending inquiry like every 3months but moved on with other plans for my life, till I was invited for another medicals and got approved few days after.

So just be at rest, they would invite you for another medicals soon.

Hi everyone!

I know this may not be the right place to post this but for those who have gotten COPR, PR and the likes you may be able to chime a tip or two to help especially if you were once in a similar situation.
its wil be 15 months soon since AOR and i have not heard a word from IRCC. I have sent emails, ordered GCSM notes , done everything within my power to see what is causing the hold up. Medicals has expired, they didnt even ask for a re-med yet. Last GCSM noted i got in september 2018 said security check had not started, everything else looked ok.
I am moving on with life o, but i can't help with this hanging over me like a fruit hanging from a tree but out of my reach. My sister in canada said maybe the fruit is not yet ripe so i should wait for it to drop by itself grin grin

Any tips will be appreciated on what to do besides sitting like a duck.

If you can post them on the express entry thread, that will be fine, just quote me when you do, it's not your personal details or anything. Just so it can add to the body of knowledge there. Also, others can contribute from their own experiences.

Right, I actually meant HST on payment for the course, since the person that paid for you is in CA. I have only sent transcripts to them, I am going through CPA Ontario, found out from someone here a while back (cant remember) that they are faster

Hello,

HST was not applicable in my case because my friend paid exactly the amount that was quoted for the course. WHich was what i paid him the cash equivalent for.

As for CPA Ontario, they respond faster no doubts, but have a more complicated process. My friend who helped me pay also discouraged me from going that route when i complained about the extremely slow response rate of BC. He also processed his own as an accountant.

He advised me to finalize all the conversion before I land. Besides, CPA ontario only processes the conversion when you are on ground.

So you may need to weigh your options well sha.

Who did you send your transcript to?? (CPA BC or ON??)

My people good day, I'm wondering if SK is a good idea for a new immigrant to land and if there are also huge job market for people in finance. Although I'm aware that Ontario is the financial hub of Canada, just want to know about Saskatoon.

Your input will be greatly appreciated, thanks
