Yes please, that's why we're here. Ask away but check page 1 first, in case the answer is there.

@ ladymarshall

that's quite helpful. Can I ask other questions, as they surface?

thanks dear

You would need your first university degree, then depending on your CRS score, you would decide if you need another certification to get points for two or more certificates. I am not sure if a degree in Optometry is evaluated as a professional degree in which case your points would be higher. Perhaps those in the medical field can answer this better. What is your estimated CRS score based on your simulation? That would also determine if your 2-year work experience is sufficient to give you adequate points.

Send a pm and your number to @Zutlin or @Threemg, they were in the group before they got their PPR. Perhaps they can forward your number to the group admin

No you don't have to be certified in Canada before you can apply for EE. With your optometry degree you are good to go since its assessed as an equivalent of a masters/professional degree.

Just as a piece of advice for those of us still in the valley of decision with respect to the ECA body to use and whether to evaluate B.Sc even when you have an M.Sc.

My opinion is that you should look beyond the immediate CRS score and see into your journey in Canada should things go well with your application. Let's try to look into things like licensing with professional bodies. For instance, in my little research, engineers in Alberta need to evaluate their first degree and for this reason, I decided to evaluate my B.Sc along with my M.Sc which would have been unnecessary if all I am bothered with is CRS points. I evaluated both to make it easier for me to ask WES for a reevaluation when the time comes. It might cost a little more, but it is cheaper on the long run.

In summary, take out time to 'plan out' and look beyond the immediate need.

Cheers to a PPR filled week ahead.

Can I go ahead and calculate my CRS score when I haven’t sat for IELTS? Because I left that link when they asked for my IELTS score

@ ednut1 ladymarshall stencil

Use the CRS tool like you're predicting the possibilities of what you could get of ielts but bear in mind that as you prepare target to max it out at least with scores LRWS 8,7,7 7. Best success at each stage

I don't know if you've gotten a response to this but this is my suggestion. If you're sure you had medicals done in October (not medical passed) and no member of your family's (spouse or children) passport expires by July, you should raise a CSE to that effect and probably attach your e-medical form too.
All the best.

Of course,Dentistry is also a professional degree. I just need to be sure of Optometry because I need to let someone know promptly. Seems it is also one according to CIC.

Isn't the 'tourist/visit multiple entry visa' for touring and visiting only?

Call WES and/or send a 'contact us' form requesting that you will like to remove a certificate and add another. You will need to include the full name of the certificate you want to remove, the year you started and completed the program, country certificate was obtained and date it was obtained.

Your idea is perfectly ok. However, you do not need to notarize the document but if it would make you sleep better, then by all means go ahead.

Hello POF gurus, I have a question please.
My wife is the primary applicant, but I intend to provide the proof of funds. Challenge is I don't have enough cash to transfer to her account. But there is more than enough funds from my RSA (25%) and treasury bills investments. So can I provide letter from my PFA and t-bill certificate, then do a notarized document stating she has access to my liquidated funds? Would that work?

Hi. Don't be discouraged. It's a blessing in disguise. Your PPR might just swoop in even before you leave Accra.

Please reach out to @bronze25 who was added to a WhatsApp interview group. She should be able to help place you in the same WhatsApp group. Read her PPR gist here.

Also look at this PPR gist and possible interview questions here.

I wish you success on the interview.
