Use your WAEC or NECO certificate to apply.
tymix1:
Good evening house,

Please I have a question regarding 2 or more certificates for CRS points. I wanted to write the CIMA BA1-4 exams to beef up my points, but I discovered that with my degree (Finance from a UK university), I have exemptions for all four papers. To get the CIMA certificate, I will only have to write one paper instead of four. I've heard that it's similar for ACCA certificates too. Has anyone had favourable ECA news for their CIMA/ACCA certificates after applying their exemptions, and writing only one paper? I started my ECA process for my BSc with WES a couple of months ago before hearing about the certificate route, and I am currently waiting for their report at the moment.

Thank youuuu!!!

Thanks a lot! He does not want to use the self employed route because of its requirements.
The letter head downstairs not carry his name as director.
His fear is the background checks that cic might run. Won't it show that he is a director?

ladymarshall:
It depends. If he wants to go through the self-employed route as a co-owner, he will have to get recommendations from clients, not just tax proof. Since the company has not been awarded any contracts, getting clients recommendations could be a challenge.

I think its better he uses the employed route since he gets a salary. His supervisor will write the letter for him. It is only reasonable to expect that the other director supervise his work before paying him his money.

Does the letterhead show that he is a co-owner? if yes, he has to declare co-ownership as a director. If no, let him use his managerial portfolio only.

It is not compulsory that you notarize a gift deed nawww. People have gotten PPR without having to notarize it.
How please

A gift deed is an agreement, you sign and the donor signs. Shikena. The notary stamp is just to add to the authenticity of the document. Even a letter from your donor can suffice in place of a deed. Either way, just make sure to cross your t's and dot your i's. If the document is genuine in itself you're good to go

It will not affect you. Work experience and course studies do not have to tally for Canada. You are fine.

Thanks dear for this clarification... God bless

Good People,

I just had a terrible experience with a notary public. I wanted to notarize my gift deed and another document, na so the guy dey ask me questions oo. Who sent the money to you? What do you want to use it for? "You need to come here with the person that gifted you the money, then we can talk about the price."

I just left the crook's office at that point.

Please, I would appreciate it if anyone would recommend a notary public (on the Island or in Ibadan) you have used for gift deed. I am too busy to be explaining stuff.

Thanks as usual, people.

I don't know how much he planned to charge you that's his business. There's no fixed fee for notaries in Nigeria, most of them are lawyers 7years and above at the bar, so it's not supposed to be chicken fee anyway and maybe not too exorbitant, but that also depends on the document and the notary involved.
But ehn, apart from the price I don't see anything wrong he did. If he had no ulterior motives, he was just doing his job. For example, when a school in the abroad asks you to send a certified true copy of your certificate issued by a notary public, they do this because they believe that the notary will cite the original of that document before certifying a photocopy. They trust notaries more than they trust your courts in Nigeria. So if one person brings an agreement signed by two parties(which is what the gift deed is) and asks him to 'certify' it without seeing the second party, that's asking him to lie.
It is the hunger in the land and our culture of bastardizing everything here that makes it possible for business centres to carry notary stamps and charge 200-500 per page. That is how even notary publics will come to mean nothing in this country in the next few years.

Hello all and help pls. I'm in the pool with 434 and writing TEF (again undecided) soon.

I know 3 years continuous work experience gets us max scores in the CRS, but do the 3 years have to be in one NOC? So assume I have 2 years in NOC1 and 10 years in NOC2, total work experience 12 years. Can I change my primary NOC from NOC2 (10 years) to NOC1 (2 years) without it affecting my points?

Trying to see if a different NOC may get me a nomination cheesy

Hello sis...

I used 2 completely unrelated NOCs. I had 2 years experience in NOC 1 (my primary NOC and most recent experience) and 9 years in NOC 2. I did worry about it though but it (apparently) wasn't an issue!

Wish you all the best dear.

It won't, it's a personal choice. No problems. But if after AOR, you decide to change back to accompanying perhaps due to change of mind or circumstances, your scores would be recalculated, if it is lower than your CRS draw score where you got ITA, your application would not be accepted and no refund.
Thanks a lot for the swift response. Highly appreciated

Hello house , pls i have a question regarding work experience .
can i claim work experience i did in 2009 with O Level result ? it was a two years job as an inventory officer .

i understand that most NOC requirements start with a post high school degree.

i currently have two year+ work experience which is not enough to get the maximum point for work experience

True. I totally get it.

Indeed, our anyhowness in Nigeria has made a lot of people go through avoidable stuff.

However, I honestly think that his request for the other party was a stupid one. And, not taking the other party with me was not me telling him to lie! His job, like all notary publics, is to verify the authenticity/originality of a document. His job is not to dissect the content of the document(?).

Plus, me bringing the other party would do nothing to ascertain the authenticity of the document. I could take anyone with me and tell him that was the other party, you know?

Notary Publics only need to see the original copy of a document. All this other party request was just the guy trying to be Nigerian. The gift deed I presented na original. Original as original gets. The crook was only trying to overbill me after seeing the money on the document ni. smiley That's what I think. I could be wrong (but I doubt it).

And about your comment on notary publics in Nigeria loosing their credibility? I don't think that would be anytime soon. Maybe after India sha. cheesy Nigerians are nothing close to Indians.

Hi everyone
Don't know if this question has been answered here before. I haven't come across it yet. It has been bothering me.
I have two passports (dual citizen). The Nigerian passport has expired. I uploaded the other valid one and mentioned (LOE) that the other (Naija pali) has expired.

Do you think we'll get an ADR for me to submit a valid Naija passport?

Considering, it is a hassle getting Naija passports these days, should i struggle to have it done now and raise a CSE?

I really do not need the Nigerian passport, but i just want to eir on the side of caution since i mentioned i have dual citizenship.

Has anyone of dual citizenship gotten PPR without having to upload or renew one of his/her expired passports.
Disclaimer: the Nigerian passport isn't my main passport
I am not the PA.

Has anyone been in this situation before? Please i need an advice. Thank you.

i pray i am worrying for nothing! Because, the struggle to get the Naija pali + the money, no be here!grin
I really don't think it's compulsory you have the naija passport.

Jenny you are too much. My dad said the same thing that notary publics are very respected abroad. My dad is a lawyer as well.

Having your maiden name on your ielts and wes will not affect you in any way. you would be required to state a previous name if you had any and you'll also be required to provide all the change of name documents which includes the newspaper publication and affidavit. I believe this is after you have legalize your union.
Mamabigboy:
Good evening all. I trust we are doing fine.
My hubby and I got married traditionally 5years ago, and we are also planing to legalise the union at a registry next month. We are expecting our eca and about to sit for ielts. My questions go thus:
As I still bear my maiden name as at the time of wes and ielts, will this not affect the whole process?
At what point will my change of name doc be required?
Thank you.
