My guy stop shading NCC on this issue..

Earlier this year, NCC had notified the public that such experience would occur if debt owing network don't pay their debt... A deadline was also given for defaulting operators.. What else do you want them to do..

The issue cover all network operators in Nigeria.. If you are owing and you don't pay your debt, you get disconnected..

Glo should swallow the blame and not NCC

Why can't NCC issue a 21 days ultimatum, for defaulters to clear debt or face complete network shut down?......

How do you know that is not the current procedure and GLO might still be owning considering MTN’s wide customers coverage.

Glo customers call more MTN lines than they even call glow lines so this means Glo will always be in the deficit after BOTP and will need fulfil by paying in some other way either by cash or stock

Glo just like most businesses managed by Nigerians are very useless, they are not yet ready. Out of 1k+ contacts in my phone, I don’t have up 10 numbers from glo network.

P.S Arik isnt dead? so

Aril isn’t dead? Please remind me again What was Arik Air shares capital in 2012. They even had to cut operation cost, some routes were discontinued. Abuja - Johannesburg for example.

MTN cannot blow the likes of GLO into extinction because MTN themselves are very lawless and have personal issues with NCC. We need our very own network provider like GLO atleast, even if it is for bragging rights.

Have you ever gone to MTN office for something? They act like their Embassies

What do you mean by "lawless" and "personal issues with NCC"? Do you know how difficult it is to operate a business in Nigeria - have you ever tried running a business? The only "personal issues" NCC and your legislative arm of government have with MTN is 'egunje'! That's it! Do you remember NCC's shameful role in the Visafone acquisition?

I won't even speak about GLO. Find out from anyone who works or has any dealings with GLO Nigeria or Ghana. If you are still in doubt as to how useless and clueless GLO is, then visit their Oregun warehouse...Lol.

Which of the MTN Offices - Yellowdrome, Aromire, Yellowdrome Annexe? Was it South Africans that attended to you or Nigerians? And what do you mean they act like their embassies? Have you ever visited a Nigerian Embassy in any country? Lol...oga, I hope this isn't the classical log of wood vs speck of dust moot point?

Heck! Tell me any Telco Operator in Nigeria that has better offices or better employee welfare than MTN - just one!

Kids are ranting over this thread since yesterday.Glo is a Company without any ethics or corporate Governance .Indians littered Globacom with huge take home pay and allowances , adding no value better than Nigeria working there.MTN recruits more Nigeria and fewer rooms for foreigners than Glo.

Some Companies don't do any Business with Globacom. They owe virtually every Partner and refusing to pay gladdens their heart. Many Companies have shut down with job lost due to this attitude. This are prepaid services and they should pay their liabilities .Do you know how much they make fixing this prepaid Incomes in Banks?

I may not be vast in terms of how the operations of NCC goes but all I could deduce from what has happened so far is that, NCC is a third party on this issue and plays a regulatory role to an extent which does not cover them on issuing directives to network operators on how they should handle issues that concern them.. .

The interconnecting debt is something NCC must have made a policy on that defaulting operators can be disconnected if they fail to pay their debts.. The issue is of mutual understanding because today might be GLO turn and tomorrow will be for MTN..
