By tomorrow which is Saturday, she'll be having her bath. It's likely she might go for a walk, but plans might change because I got a birthday gig to attend. If I do, then the walk will be after Church.

Jessy is now 4 months and 5 days.

She gave me a little scare last week. I noticed some rashes in her abdomen area, so I took her to the vet. She was given two injections and some tablets. She found it difficult sleeping that night - the pain from the injection was too much and it made her cry all through the night.

By the following morning, she was very weak and lean. The next day when she was back to her playful self, I noticed blood in her poop. This scared me to my pants. I thought it was Parvo.

Whatever it was, God helped me shake it off Jessy who didn't show sign of sickness after she got herself back.

Rain is preventing us from going for a walk this Sunday evening.

I met with Jessy's brother on Sunday. He lives right opposite their parents' house which is the street adjacent mine. He's named captain and was bought by a friend of mine recently. Captain looked a bit malnourished and not active. He was scared of stepping out of his cage. Will be meeting him this weekend to take pictures.

Jessy at 4 months and 2 weeks. She has grown more energetic and playful. She's got teething issues.

She met her brother last week Friday but it was at night, so I couldn't take pictures. Hopefully this weekend, I will do that.

It usually drops about a week to when she's due for deworming and persists for like four days after before she becomes a monster at eating. Even when it drops, the effect it has is that she doesn't empty the bowl at once.

I'm not really certain it's pastern issue because I've always known one of her forelegs to be bent right from when I got her.

Do you have any idea about when teething stops for dogs? I'm really tired of her ears flying up as a result of it.

lol..she sounds smart. Try giving her 250mg of vitamin C once in a day. It helps to boost her immune system I.e to prevent bacteria infections and viral infections like parvo.

Its better to get from ur vet shop than to give the ordinary vitamin C humans take.

pastern is the area below the carpus(wrist), and above the foot of the dog.
if you notice your dog's pasterns are bent, or too close to the ground then you have to visit a vet immediately so rehabilitation can start before it becomes permanent.
weak, bent or flat pasterns are more common in large breed puppies and they can cause a lot of problems for a dog.
dogs with bad pasterns can't stand for long, run for long or jump and it gets worse with age, when they get mature sometimes the pasterns get completely destroyed and result in bone issues and pain along with weak muscles which can cause paralysis.

Same old same old same old.

Planning on quiting the foetus soon and replacing it with Canned food. The stress of the foetus is becoming too much.

We are currently at Jessy's brother's place waiting for his owner to come back and bring him out so they can play. Hopefully, I will take pictures of both of them.

Dog's day out.


Went out to get some food for Jess today and came across the owl in the picture below. On my way back, I branch the market to get me some stuff too. I met a fish seller who had head of fishes, so I got four pieces for N50. Told her I will be branching from work to pick them up everyday.

Took Jessy to ay some football and meet some kids as a way of socializing her.

Jessy's mother came around to say hi to her. Immediatly she saw Jessy, she rushed with so much energy to meet her. Her owner couldn't restrain her cos we thought she was going to attack.

They sniffed each other for a while until Jessy decided to turn the whole thing into play. The mother mistook it for a fight - She rushed her aggresively until the owner pulled her away.
