iPhone x has everything and more that iPhone 8 plus has. And they're almost same price. Go for the X comfortably

The X is just the 8plus with the camera tilted 90degress clockwise, no much difference in functionality infact the 8plus is one of iPhone best phones where more features came in. The X only focused on reducing screen size.

Depends on what you want
They both have similar camera
The battery on 8plus is better
They have the same speed
X has a better display quality
X has a premium feel(feels expensive)
X has a better design
The X is smaller than the 8 plus
But it all depends on the phone you’re coming from too
