you're right. I was telling somebody a fact a few days ago during an arguement. He said most Nigerian old people don't know their real age and most of them exaggerate their age. He said further that nobody is as old as 110 in the present day Nigeria but i proved him wrong. It all depends on where you hail from and the level of education in your localities or state of origin. The teacher who taught my 72 years old dad in standard 6 in ekiti is over 112 years old and he still walks around on walking sticks. He recognises people as well. He was born to the family of a missionary. I wonder if at that level, his parents could have lied of his age when the old man was born. I attended the same primary school where the man taught. The school is almost 100 years old now. If an Ekiti or Ondo man or woman declares his or her age, just believe it because western education was embraced in those 2 states almost immediately it was introduced in Nigeria. You can imagine a primary school founded in 1890 in ekiti.
