I'm even afraid of doing tranzactions again on my UBA ACCOUNT, I have other bank but UBA is worse.. At times I eveneven got debited without doing any tranzactions. Very annoying bank..

The various scams being perpetuated by Nigerian banks under the very nose of CBN will explode before the global community soon...

From pointless criminal charges like Card maintenance, account maintenance (When did an account become a building or car?), ATM usage fees, account balance fees, etc...

Shall we even talk about compelling people to withdraw max of 10k at a time, so that they will be forced to make multiple withdrawals thereby parting with 65 to 130 naira...

I have been in UK for 7 years doing business. I have never been charged for debit card, Cheque book issuance or any stupid sms or account maintenance charge and all banks in UK are light years ahead of Nigerian banks.

Here, you call them you need card, they issue in 3 days with no charge.

Thieves Robbers.....may 1000 flies infect their armpits.....stealing from us unjustly....different charges that I don't know the meaning.... ........the one that hurts me most..charging me card maintenance when I don't have or used Atm for the said bank...I was there telling them to cancel such charges..and the stupid customer care officer telling me ordinary 55 naira......

they way first bank debit me no be small thing .as someone that does steady transactions ,those bank na scam i get almost 1k debit for sms alert not to talk of other debits.

In all fairness, you can't compare the UK with Nigeria. Just like people complain that data is expensive (even though we actually have one of the cheapest) but fail to take into account the fact that telecom operators literally fuel their business 24/7. Heck working in a small business two years ago our fuel and generator repair + engine oil costs were crazy. The peculiarities of running a business in Nigeria just makes some comparison unfair.
