Very true. Best to be very smart with them too cheesy.
Even the ones in abroad are not left out too.

I heard the term "azza" first from my Nigerian coursemate who was trying to play smart game with me, he asked for my friends "azza" details to help send naira equivalent to his account in Nigeria and I became suspicious when he said he will reward me if I can do it undecided undecided

Another even chatted me on whatsapp to send my account number for a tuition fees deposit for his sister, I said I am not an admission officer for his sister's school , he should pay directly to his sister's school account.

If you are from Nigeria, You will be smarter than them cool

You don't reveal your home address, account number and other details to some people just like that. Odikwa risky undecided undecided

I don't even entertain such discussion at all, once I hear "I have a package in the US"...I don japa grin
Their next line would be 'send me your yankee address to help receive it.

Alaye, if you get package for yankee contact DHL or UPS to ship it to naija for you na.
Yankee of all places, there's no acceptance of negligence in law court.

Anyone that approaches you for stuff like this is your enemy, block their asses!

Internet fraud has made life very difficult for legit youths trying to earn legally here in 9ja.
In other countries, not everyone is into 9-5 jobs
Some pple earn(big) from playing games(twitch streamers, soccer, etc)
Some are youtubers
Some are social media influencers
Some are into cryptocurrencies
Some are freelancers
Some are models
... and so much more, just mention it.
Now the problem is due to the fact that many youths here already engage in internet fraud, no one would believe you really earn legally from stuff like these (mentioned above) and as such make it very hard to encourage the youth to try out new things.
An average parent here in Nigeria believes in education and handwork(mostly hard vocational skills). No doubt handwork is good, but the statistics of those who have become multimillionaires from handwork is way much lower than those earning averagely from it.
Now I would relate my point to this topic.
Personally I'm a graphic designer and freelancer with years of experience and I will categorically say that foreign clients pay better than Nigerian clients.
Now how do you get foreign clients to pay you directly to your local bank after a successful job done to his/her satisfaction ? Most of these foreign countries are used to PAYPAL and CASHAPP in sending money worldwide. Here comes the problem. A Nigerian PAYPAL account cannot receive funds from a foreign country so imagine after working you can't get your money because you're a NIGERIAN.
So what are now your options, you look for someone who is over there for help...
Just imagine working legitimately and can't get you pay just because you're a nigerian
.
.
.
To be continued
I have work to do

I can relate to all you have said. Worst of it all is people calling you a fraudster just because you work from home with a laptop.

Oh Nigeria, what a country cry

How Hausa-Fulanis gradually led Nigeria into gutter despite enormous crude oil wealth since 1970s. They laid the foundation of looting, stealing public funds and causing untold hardship for all Nigerians who ended up engaging in anything illegal just to make ends meet. Blame the Northern military heads of states for whatever Nigeria is today. They introduced leadership corruption, mass looting that infested the Nigerian society today. They pushed Major Nzeogwu and other junior soldiers into carrying out the first coup that plunged Nigeria into 2yrs civil war.

Buhari is doing the same today and if not that youths and Nigerians of today are liverless, Buhari's actions are enough to cause another civil war or deadly coup in Nigeria.

It shall never be well with all the past and present Nigerian Presidents, Governors, Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Senators, Reps, LGA Chairmen and all.

Just look at how they have killed Nigeria and left it future less, and still some stupid dump youths keep supporting Buhari and APC cry

Until Nigerian youths get angry, frustrated and start a revolution that will ensure all past and present leaders in Nigeria are rounded up like criminals they are and given jungle justice, there is no hope for Nigeria and no matter where one lives as a Nigerian, that stigma of being black and again a Nigerian will always be there, its really shameful
Oga your criticism is one sided, our leaders are products of the society, how will you expect a corrupt and selfish society to produce tons of honest, trustworthy, sincere, or transparent future leaders. All major tribes in Nigeria have their fair share of blames concerning the deplorable and miserable state of this country. Is it the corrupt GEJ administration, or the clueless and corrupt GMB administration, OBJ's regime, or the corrupt Abacha regime. We the citizens have contributed in varying degree to the position we are as a nation.
mind you sir, the decay in the Nigerian society is not only found at the top tier of government, the state governors, the local government chairmen, senators, ward councillors, the youths and other adults are corrupt to varying degree. May I give you a quick reminder bro, is Orji Uzor Kalu an Hausa man??

The world is not all black and white. Some writers who prefer foreign clients might be seen as yahoo people now. So sad. Thank God I have my dorm account.

Ps: Aza means account no. It doesn't have to be fraud related.

This is a serious matter, and it’s very rampant these days.

When an old colleague finds out you’re in a North American country, especially those in the yahoo business, the first help they want from you is TO HELP THEM PICK MONEY UP or LOAD A CHECK INTO YOUR ACCOUNT AND TRANSFER TO THEM.

Seriously?
Someone who probably couldn’t afford 3 square meals back in Nigeria, but lucky to successfully relocate abroad, trying to upgrade his certificates to earn a better living, and the next thing in your selfish mind is to use him for your sinister activities?

I have met with Nigerian professors, Managers, Professionals earning money legally, had they listened to such bullcrap, I’m pretty sure they’d be cooling their as$es off behind bars.

A friend to a cousin contacted me on such crazy topic, I made sure I disowned the cousin first, then blocked the friend afterwards.

AN EVEN CRAZIER EXPERIENCE:
One asked me to help him collect money from his aunty based in the states. I had to be very sharp. Why can’t your aunt send money to you directly? I asked him that. Then I asked another question, hope you’re not into fraud. Then he goes “actually that my aunty is like MAHE and I don’t know how you’d feel if you know it’s a yahoo stuff”. I BLOCKED HIS ASS

If you’re in a foreign land, don’t ever help anybody, I repeat anybody collect fund. Some lie under the guise of “relative” and if you fall for it, LAW doesn’t pardon “I DIDNT KNOW”.

A lot of innocent guys have been rendered homeless and unfit for work since their record has been stained.

DONT BE A VICTIM!!!
MA LO JEGO OOOO!

Thank you. cool

Thanks for your concern!
I have my means but what of others outthere!
Besides payoneer revenue card takes quite alot of time b4 ariving 9ja.
Not all clients knows about it too.
Nigeria had been restricted on the world most popular payment platform and the government ain't doing nothing about it
Nigeria is just a shithole broda, they don’t care about civilians, they are after looting public funds. It’s quite unfortunate being a Nigerian

I live in london most of the time , I send money to certain friends if they need it , my family is blessed so they certainly dont need my money

To be frank the only friends that I send money to I edont know them from Nigeria , its either from living in the states or from living in London

All my guys from Nigeria , unless someone is in hospital they wont see a penny...

Nigerians need to understand that some of us because we have spent most of our lives here sometimes we take on certain mannerisms that are un Nigerian , English people do not generally speak there mind ,

Im the same , sometimes when my Nigerian friends , the ones I know from Naija , they will give me nonsense story and even though I know its nonsense, no problem I always sent the money, because I kept quiet they assumed that I believed them , and now they dont understand why Im notr picking their call....lol

pioneer is one of the best. You can even apply for ATM and will be delivered to you here in Nigeria. You can try it.

Most clients don't use Payoneer, except it's a big organization. Majority request for PayPal.

The excuse was they will wore 10Million to my account I get 15%, he didn't give clear details, ( later discovered, it was advance loan scheme which I'll be the one to repay), the moment he asked for my bank account, in my mind who give you ten million guy, I declined his request, it's ten months now, we've become enemies.
