This show makes show benefits Nigerian youths since it's not a Children show.
Romanoff, we may moan about this all day, but the biggest benefactors in all of this are the Sponsors, then the housemates. If you were a profit driven executive of these companies, you will sponsor BBN for 100 years non stop.Rather let us question the mindset of people who win at life because their favourite housemate won. People held rallies virtual and physical last season for their faves, engaged in endless e-wars because for their, or contributed money so their faves get the flashy things.
Those other things you listed earlier will fall under CSR. Nothing more

Are there no better ideas for CSR than this nonsense?

I mean, use the 85million naira to build children hospitals, sponsor scholarships, encourage STEM, skill acquisition, I could mention lots of things o.

No ma'am. CSR has no returns. Building hospitals will only bring a thank you with little or not financial rewards. The key word here is money..profit I learn close to a billion naira was made last season. The scholarships are noble..but not as financially profitable.

Big brother franchise is all over the world including the US,

Fyi. there are other unusual shows:
In the UK, there is a show called Naked Attraction where people date in their birthday suits (stark naked)
In the US, UK, Australia and other countries there is a show called 'Married At First Sight' where people get married (usually) after meeting at the alter for the first time

etc
Romanoff:
This show makes me ashamed.

If you watch Food channel, Junior Chopped especially or Kids Baking Championship, you'll see how young kids in America are competing for meaningful things.

Some competing to add to their college fund or to open their own restaurants. Some I saw on the show, already had catering businesses.

I believe there are people with ideas for better shows but they lack sponsors.

No one has been able to tell me how this show benefits Nigerian youths since it's not a Children show.

All you have as a defence for this shameful show is "Cowbellpedia"?

Pray tell us the reward for winners of Cowbellpedia.

I can count at least, a dozen shows for kids in America, please, mention 3 and their cash prize.

The winner for Junior Chopped that I mentioned is 10, 000 dollars.

I dey wait o.
The same countries you compare Nigeria with have more X rated shows (like the UK's Geordie shore) but since it's Nigeria we are always quick to condemn.

Btw how many viewers do you think kids shows would attract in this part of the world, how many Nigerians even know about Cowbellpedia not to talk of watching it. Whether you like it or not Bbnaija has come to stay.

At least you can't accuse them of slave labour.

It's like football. footballers are paid obscene monies because clubs make obscene monies.

It's the same with multi choice.

And when it comes to technological advancements, how has your country faired?

You can't watch "The Science of Stupid", "Battle Bots" or Mega Structures" and put up a lame defence like this.

All the best in your Big Brother.

I know that, but for all of these Shows, there is balance. Shows with good sponsorship that benefits kids and youths.

Even who wants to be a Millionaire no even dey again.

There is an American singles program on YouTube.

You can't watch it without getting erections throughout the show.

Raunchy as hell.

Big brother Brazil is so raunchy that one of the sex they had is on xvideos, clear as day.

Non of my business with the Nigerian BB. But since the country has a lot of graduates without work, and considering the level of hopelessness and depression among the Nigerian youths, couldn't this money be used to set up some youths empowerment or better still, give them loans to set up some businesses so that they can be able to contribute to the Nigerian economy and make their country better?

BBN is nothing but irrelevant dirty individuals trying to be relevant. Individuals with grossly moral vacuity.

wetin your government dey do?

couldnt your govt do all these you suggested?

For those of you that will insult them and say misplaced priorities, abeg they are not the cause of your frustrations. Its not their obligation to hold mathematics quiz or English essay competitions for students. Direct that obligation to the federal and state government.

I won't insult you because all you've said reveals the very depth of your mindset.
We complain the Country is not improving, but yiu see an organization sponsoring rubbish which as little ir nothing to do with development.
Tell me one thing you've benefited morally, spiritually and even intellectually?
Mention one.

You people should stop supporting nonsense.
