Ah ah...ticket money won't exceed 1k USD...what he needs is just to get there, and the reliable path is via school, and work is sure if he goes for Canada.

Will 2.5 take someone to Canada?? Wat about school fees and other expenses

its inpossible to get a work kind of visa from nigeria so its definite that he is travelling on a tourist visa and who would give you work permit when you have not married a citizen or lived legally for years in diaspora before applying for a permanent residency? that guy is a joker. by the time he realize whats going on, he would wish he stayed in nigeria and started a business. but the thing is, if you tell them now, they would tell you to shutup and that if you dont knpw what you are doing you should come back let others who can hustle go.. lol.
there is a lot of stuff u can do with 2.5million,why waste it on traveling out,I have 3 siblings who went to UK legitimately and now d 3 of them are back.my friends in UK can't come home except for d ones doing runs because of shame.you'll eat well, wear clothes but u will realize u can't save millions anywhere u go.

it still depends though. if they have good paying jobs why not, but that comes with a price. education geared towards a sought after field. or if they have a working partner and maybe 1 kid of a working partner and no kids at all. anybody wanting to just go and "hustle" is on a long thing

I haven't done it myself and I live in a different country so I'm not sure how things work in Nigeria but what I can tell you is this:

1. Find an affordable school - some may take 4-5k Canadian dollars per year and most schools will not demand full payment up front
2. Your ticket won't cost you more than 1k usd

Start reaching out to schools, most will provide you information on accommodation and living expenses.

I have a friend who hustled his way to the US will a lower budget though he was fortunate to receive a partial scholarship. You can do it.

With what visa are you trying to enter a foreign country with precisely? Because to "hustle" legally you will need a work permit or permanent residency for the country you intend going to. To get a work permit for a western country is not easy at all talkless of permanent residency which can take years. It does not even matter how much money you currently have because that money will run out quick once you have to start paying rent, utility bills and groceries in your new country of residence.

Too many Nigerians I have noticed have enough money for airline ticket but do not have sufficient money to live relatively comfortable in the western world long enough until they can obtain either a work permit or permanent residency.

In addition, Nigerians are not aware that immigration policies are getting tougher and tougher each year. Even countries that are considered developing countries are making it extremely difficult for immigrants and potential immigrants how much more advanced countries.

I am not trying to discourage you. I am not saying you shouldn't migrate but what I am saying is be realistic. I see too many Nigerians stuck here abroad suffering. They couldn't get their papers (work permit, permanent residency permit, naturalized citizenship) as they had hoped for. They have no money to survive and before you know it, they start engaging in crime just to survive thereby soiling the already damaged reputation of Nigeria further. There is a reason why foreign missions in Nigeria make it so difficult for Nigerians to obtain a visa.

Many of you think that we are picking money on the streets here abroad but that's a fallacy. If you are able to get at least a work permit that will enable you to legally pick up employment in the country you are planning to migrate to, then by all means make the move. However, if you are thinking of coming on a tourist visa with the hope of overstaying, you will be making a big mistake.

Many of these Western countries are voting in leaders lately who are leaning towards conservative, right wing, anti-immigrant ideologies and don't want people from so-called "shithole" countries coming to their countries in search of the proverbial greener pastures except if you are perhaps a professional with skills being highly sought after in these advanced nations, example medical professionals for instance.

So think about all I have said considering that you are already married with a child. If you get stuck abroad for years on end, don't complain when another man starts taking care of your wife's sexual needs. After all, body no be firewood. Your child also needs you the father. Just saying.

- From a concerned foreign-born Nigerian residing legally in the diaspora
Sorry sir,but can't you help considering your position?

With such a small amount it will end in tears unless you have a concrete plan to get work and residency already. Really nowhere is easy to emigrate to these days unless you're thinking of going to another African country with a weaker purchasing power than Nigeria.

Baba forget this abroad thing and invest your N2.5m in a profiatble business. In no time you would have made enough money and will be travelling abroad for Holidays only. Bleep this abroad thing, the grass is not always greener there. People are making it here in Nigeria period.

Which "profitable business"? What makes a business profitable? Is there any business that is unprofitable? Is everybody in Nigeria making it?

When u are converting.. take regard the country conversion rate of the country

U used the conversion rate of USA to judge for the remaining countries
A naira to Aussie dollar is 250 naira. That’s more than enough for processing Aussie visa

And a naira to Canadian dollar is 270, and 320 black market

That can go a long way in processing the visa

Aussie visa is more rigorous and expensive than Canada, Uk, US

Please the tech geeks in the house, I need help picking a suitable course that would get me jobs with it's certification. I have to pick between being a Cyber security Analyst, Secure IT systems Professional, Cyber security Coder, and Secure Network Professional. Which would you recommend and reasons please. Thanks.
Cyber security isn't a field you can easily jump straight into. If someone was trying to transition into the technology field, cyber sec is probably one of the toughest he could pick.

That said, there is nothing like "Cyber security coder", "Secure Network Professional" and "Secure IT Systems Professional". Just do your research, learn as much you can on your own and try getting into any IT jobs you can(the experience is important). As for certs, CEH and CCNP are good starting points.

How can you leave your primary assignment(Family) and go for secondary(Hustle).... Can't that money be used to orchestrate a visionary idea(Business) for family here in Nigeria? And if he must go abroad let him take all his immediate family members along.... That's how people grow wrong gradually

Did your siblings went to study history, sociology and geography? A whole 3 and none of them was able to secure a job after uni?

Yes, getting jobs after uni is not for an international student but for 3 of your siblings to go and come back empty handed, no job or millions.

Something dy wrong o.

One should have at least worked full time during studies since he/she knows its 90% sure he/she will be back to Nigeria in 1year 4months.

At least they should get back with £5000 savings if your parents helped with their fees. £5000 in naira is #1.8 -#2.5m currently depending on the year they went for their studies.
