Who told you what we have now is not negative interest rate. Just because is not reading negative doesnt make it positive.

Whenever you have an interest rate that is far below inflation rate, the effect is negative interest rate. In the end you just paid bank money to keep your money cos inflation has taken both interest and principal way effectively.

I know that when the inflation rate out places interest

The relative yield is adjudged negative

However
I am talking of
Save N1m
And at the end of the year
You are getting 990,000

That one is negative rate in both absolute and relative terms
So yea
I get your point

I don't know of any FG or corporate Eurobond that pays up to 10%

My thinking exactly. The old rule of when it is too good to be true, it probably is not true stands. That is the watchword.

Someone raised your observations mid year on their telegram group. This is the response they gave.

"Our Eurobonds are not Nigeria based. They're across several markets. And we had a number of them who were already ranging around 9-10% who actually got increased yields because of lower demand. Lots of other "Eurobonds" offerings are Nigerian Eurobonds which range from 4-8% depending on who is pushing it. Secondly, a lot of vendors actually take a cut of Eurobonds they offer. So if they get 10% rates, they offer users 6,7% or even less. In our case since we charge a standard fee based on AUM, we keep all the returns to our users.
And that's true for all our plans."

If you have any other questions, ask me. If i don't know i will find out.

More like a Eurobond fund, investors need to know the issuers and the jurisdiction of the issuers of the various Eurobonds in the fund portfolio.

Who are the regulatory bodies?

I also thank Emmasoft for his efforts in enlightening us about investment one, we can't wait to have emmsoft back in this thread. I will like to add my own tips on opportunities.

One can target purchasing some stock on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

Target should be between now and mid to end of November. If you can get Zenith bank shares at N19 or below get as much as you can and hold till maximium the second week in January.

Do not be tempted to hold beyond the second week of January.

I expect the price to get to N25. That is approximately 25% in returns in less that 3 months.

There are many stocks with such potentials there right now.

The most important thing is timing. and the target price.

Do not exceed second week in January

This is my 2 cents to help
Bros, please can you throw more light as to why we shouldn't hold beyond second week of January considering the the fact that most of those stock will be paying dividends around march and some people invested for dividends. I personally had plans of holding mine till towards the wave of uncertainty of 2023 elections to offload. Please explain

For me I have been using a fintech called piggyvest
They have normal savings @10%pa although you can withdraw more than 4 times a year.... If you are going outside that they will charge you a certain breaking fee

They have safe lock saving, their are different tenures with different rates interest is paid upfront>> image below

They also have a dollar savings although it just like you are buying from aboki. Interest on dollar savings is currently at 5%pa

You can check my signature for my referral link

I think it is a game of numbers, businesses with many incompetent workers go under all d time. That is why in most establishments the selection process is very rigorous. Other factors beign equal, a business needs more competent and conscientious individuals, like 90%.

In a country like Nigeria where more than 70% are mediocre or ignorant or dishonest or both, it isn't hard to see why things are not working. In the west, more than 70% are skilled, literate and conscientious and things work. Over there ordinary citizens will report you to d authorities if you flaunt rules.

It is not just d leaders, everyone contributes to a better society. Except u want to go back to military rule where people are forced to behave, even that one get k-leg.

grin grin grin

When this young man was saying d pure truth about Nigerian affairs some people were against him. Now we can all see. If d problem was d government alone why is nairaland front page full of breaking and stealing threads by same oppressed Nigerians? Uh? Is it the government that is stealing and destroying people's properties?

Just know that if u reshuffle the present government positions among our population a hundred fold the situation will not change much, in some case it will even be worse.

Hi folks, my mental health is presently down due to the recent happenings and couple with the fact my precious Barcelona lost to Madrid in a shameful manner today.

I'm really down.

I had a walk through my environs earlier today and mehn the damage this hoodlums inflicted is just too severe.

Even Zainab the minister of finance posted this(check the image below) in her status on LinkedIn.

Is Nigeria cursed? With the criminal tendency almost 98% of Nigeria has even though its not actively dominant in some people.

I am now against every form of war, anarchy, massacre, violence, riot or anything they call it.

There's nothing like Peace!

I love Peace!

I'm 24years and I have given up on Nigeria and I think that's because I know too much(foreign exposure via online) and it's better for me to be patriotic to my country from offshore.

This are really trying times. May God protect everyone of us.

The next 6yrs from now, I want to have a career portfolio like the 1st picture attached to this post but is this possible in Nigeria for a nobody like me with zero connection and godfather?

There are no second chances given in life, takers take while the docile and naive keep waiting for some nonexistent manna or government(like your stupid ass).
You were severely warned but no,you just had to prove your naivety.
Well, this chaos has just increased your chances of never making it in life and for you to keep remaining a nobody, harsh truth cos the people who would have helped you and your lots have now lost their livelihoods and are probably indebted.
I really hope you and your fellow anarchist never amount to anything in life too(which is already evident as can be explained by your over-entitlement and daftness),even though that's my personal opinion.
You see my friend,dumb,overentitled,hand-it-to-me people never succeed in life,so don't blame me when I bet you will likely fail too.Its just facts,no emotions mehn.
And don't worry about me,I will be fine regardless, before you begin to rain senseless curses whatsoever.

Lol see this looser! Your opinion don't count and the good thing is you know that.

I am already far better than you at my present age when you where 24 and even presently I am doing well and I beat my chest to say financially you're in no way better than me even though I don't smuggle things or spoil my hands with useless things.

But come to think of it you're a Bastard(this is not a curse cause that's what you are(and I'm very sure not only did your parents disown you, your siblings also hate you and you don't have any friends cause you are a cancer and anywhere you go you make people hate you.

A quick look at your Nl profile shows in all sections: you have participated in "Car talk, crime, investment, family, business, health and co" people hate you.

Don't ever in your life quote me again!

How will someone just acquire little knowledge but lacks understanding cause that's who you are.

Understanding is far from you.

You have numerous accounts on nairaland because you are always up to mischief and you keep getting banned.

I hope you don't die this way before you change your ways.

I don't know you personally but you are the perfect example of Cain in the Bible.

The light at the end of your tunnel has been turned off.

After reading this, look at the mirror and see the beast you are.

Reflect about your life and your human relationship with people.

Success in life is highly relationship dependent and you lack all the attributes of building a relationship with both human and animals

The key difference between me and you is not only do I have knowledge, wisdom and understanding, and I am very very comfortable financially.I also excell in life with the strength of my relationship with both God and man

Everything your smuggling money can buy, the relationships I have build with people both real life and online in my 24years on earth can buy it too.

I would have conclude by giving you the advice your parents are so scared to give you which is for you to go and hang yourself but I have empathy and I believe there is no one God cannot save cause even Paul in the Bible who is one of the great Apostles was as useless as you when he was called Saul(the name is parent gave him for being a bastard) but god was still messiful to arrest him and change his heart and show him the Light so maybe you have little hope to redeem your life.

The choice is yours, you are both a Cain and a Saul but the difference is the latter can be redeemable so chose your path.

Sorry, i just saw this.

The reason is this. You should be looking at total returns to your money.

Most stocks that have December as their financial end of year, their share price rises to the highest value in January, after January it starts dropping.

So using Zenith as an example, the share price is probably going to peak in January, after that it will loose close to 10% of the January high.

In other words, if you bought it in November for N19 and it is selling at N25 in January, by the time you wait to qualify for dividend, it would have lost 10%. Though it is not bad to wait for dividend but your returns will be lower even with dividend.

You can sell in January and come back in May or June because the price will still come down to N19.
