Sports / Osimhen Paid ₦186 Million For Scoring Against Maduka Okoye by DesignMaestro(m): 11:01am On May 08

Osimhen received a huge amount of money after scoring against his Super Eagles teammate Maduka Okoye on Monday night.

Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen will receive €125k (₦186m) after scoring against his countryman Maduka Okoye in Napoli’s 1-1 draw against Udinese on Monday night.

Osimhen grabbed the headlines for Napoli in a match that had another Nigerian stand out for Udinese.
The former Lille striker put the Neapolitans ahead in the 51st minute with a brilliant header from a Matteo Politano cross.

Victor Osimhen towers home a header against Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye in the Serie A.
Although Isaac Success’ finish in injury time denied Osimhen the winner and earned Udinese a precious point, the Chelsea target went home with €125k.

Before the match, Naples news outlet, Napoli Oniline had revealed that Osimhen would receive €125k bonus if he scored 15 league goals this season.

The Nigerian striker was on 14 going into the match against The Little Zebras, with his header in the match taking his league tally to 15.

As a result, Osimhen earned €125k in bonus for scoring 15 league goals this season as stipulated in his contract.

Osimhen’s 15 league goals in 23 games this season are impressive, even though he has not been able to match the 26 he scored to fire Napoli to the title last season. The 25-year-old missed a major part of the season after helping Nigeria reach the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. But despite missing a few games due to international commitments and injury, he is on course to have his second-best year in Naples.

Religion / The Snare Of The Fowler I by kpakpandoN(m): 6:23am On May 07
The Bible teaches that there are some people called fowlers who hunt for souls. A very good example of a fowler is an adulteress (Proverbs 6:26). The Bible says that she hunts for precious life. The chief of all fowlers is the devil (1 Peter 5:cool.

A fowler uses a snare to entrap prey. i grew up on a farm, and we used to get our meat by trapping animals. In the evenings, we would get traps, dig into the soil, put the traps in the hole, cover them with leaves, and sprinkle soil on the leaves so that everything would look normal. After setting the traps, we would put baits (usually corn) on both sides of the traps and then go to bed. At night, when an animal sees the baits around a trap, it will go close and eat some of the corn. When it sees that nothing happens, it moves forward, eats a little more and then goes on until it finishes all the corn on one side. Since it has eaten all the corn on one side, it ignorantly attempts to cross over to eat the corn on the other side, and suddenly, as it steps on the trap, it snaps shut and catches the animal. By morning, it is in our cooking pot. There are countless people in hell today because they tasted sin and nothing seemed to happen, so they kept sinning until they got caught in the devil’s trap.

Many young ladies from good homes who were taught to keep their virginity have ended up badly because they had sex once, and since nothing happened, they continued until they got pregnant, contracted a disease, or became fully immersed in that terrible lifestyle. One thing a trapped animal experiences when the trap snaps shut is great fear. Likewise, one of the signs that a fellow is in trouble is fear.

The one who is caught in the trap of the fowler is called prey. Interestingly, prey sounds like pray. If a Christian does not pray, he or she will become prey. Psalm 91:3 says that the one who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will be delivered from the snare of the fowler. If you don’t want to fall into the snare of the fowler, your secret place with your Father must be on fire. If your altar grows cold, you may soon find yourself in the devil’s cooking pot. Pray fervently for at least one hour every day, and it will be difficult for you to be the devil’s prey.

Celebrities / How God Saved Me From Firing Squad – Gospel Artiste, Buchi by TouchNfollow(f): 5:22pm On Apr 28

A popular gospel singer, Buchi Atuonwu, simply known as Buchi, has revealed how God saved him from firing squad.

During an interview on Channels Television’s Morning Brief program on Friday, Buchi said he and some other people were already lined up for execution by the firing squad.

He said despite not being religious, his desperation to be alive made him call on God and make a promise to dedicate his life to serving Him in exchange for his life if spared.

He narrated, “At a point in my life, we were laying up for execution. Indeed, the people who were to execute us were already kneeling, ready to fire. It is true that i called out to a God that i didn’t know, saying if you save me, i will serve you. Since we don’t have all the time, let me just say that He saved me from that firing squad.

“Then i devoted my life to serving him. To see that my music is not empty and that it becomes an extension of a classroom for me having been a teacher in the university. The stage became an extension of the classroom. Who says musicians can not sing about GMOs, government policies, trends, events, and happenings that inform the quality of life of the people?”

Speaking on what influenced his choice of music, Buchi said his background and an intention to make a change after being spared from death were the factors responsible for his style of music.

i come from a peculiar background. night club DJ and at the same time a university lecturer and transiting to the choir of a church having been involved in the campus confraternity, drug abuse, and youth violence amongst others.

“My kind of music has to be somewhat different. Influenced by that background and also with an intention to make a change, it led me to the kind of stories that you are referring to. Stories that manured the songs that i put out, such as gun running and violence,” he stated

Speaking on a controversial comment that every musician must use performance-enhanced drugs to perform at their best, Buchi said it is a narrative sold by people, adding that there is no relationship between reggae music and weed.

“It is a narrative sold by people interested in the matter. It’s like saying to watch a good movie, i need popcorn. yes, they go together, people buy it and do it. They practice it. It is also like saying to watch a good football match. i need a particular kind of drink with me.

“It is okay to sell your products and ideas but i don’t have to accept it absolutely because i know that i can watch a good movie without popcorn and i can also watch a good football game without the drinks in question. In the same way, there is no relationship between reggae music and weed.

“Yes, i have been there, and now i am here. i know for sure that the substances that i took at that time did not enhance my performance. It is true that you have to be in a certain state of mind to give your best, but drugs don’t take you there. There are so many other things like deep thinking and concern for what you are that can take you there.”

In January, the music star refuted claims that his genre of music— reggae was connected to his past romance with marijuana.

His response followed criticisms from those who questioned the inspiration behind a book he published.

Many roasted, 100 vehicles burnt in Rivers East-West road explosions

Not less than 100 vehicles and unknown number of persons have been roasted in multiple explosions that occurred from fuel tankers at the Eleme section of the East-West Road in Rivers State.

The incident, which reportedly occurred late night Friday left many travelers stranded.
It was learnt that a tanker laden with petroleum products exploded and burst into flames that spread to other tankers and many other vehicles trapped in a gridlock.

While some said more than 300 vehicles were burnt, others said they counted over 100.

Though the number of victims could not be ascertained, but sources said many people trapped in their vehicles were roasting by the inferno.

Sources blamed the incident on dangerous driving and the company handling the reconstruction of the Eleme section of the road.

A source said he heard a deafening sound twice from his residence with voices shouting for help.

The source said: “i heard a very loud sound about 20 minutes ago, and people were shouting.

“The sound came from the Petro-Chemical company area. So when i came out i saw a tick smoke with fire from a distance.”

A resident of Port Harcourt, Segun Owolabi said: “i saw four dead bodies burnt. Some may have been in the bushes because many ran away. i saw a whole stretch of vehicles burnt down, trailer burnt down.

“There seems to be a truck carrying substances and it was as if it had collision with another vehicle that may have ignited the fire. Over 20 vehicles burnt down and several people trapped.

“There may be more bodies. Oh my God this is a tragedy. A stretch of vehicles burnt”.

Religion / Re: The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ - Tim Conway by Splendour99: 7:21am On Apr 24
You remember John Bunyan, Pilgrim’s Progress? Christian, at one point in that story, goes to the house of the Interpreter. You may recall, the Interpreter takes him to a man who had a dream about judgment day. And as that man described judgment day, he said, “i dreamt.” And he said he dreamt that he heard this great sound of a trumpet, and there he saw a Man sitting upon a cloud attended with the thousands of heaven in flaming fire. He said also the heavens were in flaming fire. He said, “i sought to hide but i could not, for the Man that sat upon the cloud still kept His eye upon me. My sins also came into my mind and my conscience did accuse me on every side.” You know what is happening to a world full of people? They are not just innocent people. They are guilty sinners, who when opportunity was laid before them to surrender to His mercy, raised their fist and said, “i don’t want You.” Remember those citizens who would not have Him to rule over them? He said, “Slay them. Slay them all.” Oh they will want mercy then.

You have to recognize the Lamb of God, once His wrath is let loose against you and there is no hope, and that door is shut, that Lamb will become altogether a terror to you. Notice this: Luke 17:31, “On that day,” Let’s stop right there. What day are we talking about? Go back to verse 30, “So will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.” Make no mistake about what day we are talking about here in verse 31. “On that day, let the one who is on the housetop, with his goods in the house, not come down to take them away, and likewise let the one who is in the field not turn back.” It may do us well to remember that when Christ is revealed, it will be just as it was in the days of Lot. Just as it was. You know, some people want to come along and say, “Well, people on their housetop not coming down to take their stuff away, is this really speaking about the Second Coming here? Because it’s not like men will even have a chance or an opportunity to do that on that day, will they?” Just make sure you see verse 30. “So will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.”

“On that day, let the one who is on the housetop, with his goods in the house…” Let me tell you what Jesus is doing here. He is bringing the Second Coming home to how you live now. You’ll see this, but it’s evidenced by what is happening in the hearts of men when He comes. He immediately says, “Remember Lot’s wife.” Now you have to remember, He is comparing His coming to what it was like in the day of Lot. He came in the day that Lot went out. Who did Lot go out with? With his wife and his two daughters. But his wife did not make it to the place of safety. Why not? She looked back. She was turned to a pillar of salt. Remember Lot’s wife. You say, “What does this have to do with the Second Coming? What does it have to do with it?” Brethren, there is going to be wailing, there is going to be tremendous fear, but at that very moment when He comes, something is going to happen in the hearts of men concerning their treasures, concerning what they are attached to.

Brethren, the loss, the loss. Do you recognize what that day is? It’s a loss; and the men and the women that are wailing are going to lose their lives. What is a life? A life is all you do. You see, they are going to exist forever. How come they are not rejoicing, “Oh, i am going to exist forever”? Because the life they had is going to be taken away from them. Oh! If you’re living your life where to depart and be with Christ is far better, it’s no loss. But when your heart is set on all the things here, the goods in the house, think, think. Moments before He comes, what’s it going to be like? i mean, if He came an hour from now, in the moments that led up to it, do you ever just drive down the road and look at all the people around you, and think about what they are thinking about? That’s what people are going to be thinking about, right in the moments before Christ comes.

i bought a new 50-inch LED Television. My favorite show is going to come on, i am going to be able to watch it in High Definition on Thursday night.” Or they are driving along and they are thinking about, “i need to go to the gym, i am starting to get some flab here.” Or they are thinking about, “i really like that new song,” and it’s going through their heads and they are running the music through. Or they are thinking about what they are going to do next Friday. Or they are thinking about, “Is there enough food in the refrigerator?” Or, “My son graduates next year from high school, i really want him to become a doctor.”

You know, when Christ comes, it’s all over. It’s done. “But wait, Lord, i am in my 20s. i expected to live through my 20s and 30s and 40s, and i expected to get a wife and get a home, and live my job, this is too soon!” It’s just gone. Everything is gone. You see, we like to say, “Well, that’s my son; that’s my daughter. i hope to see them grow up and have grand kids.” They are not your children. They belong to Him and He can take them away when He wants. And the wicked, to them that have not, even what they seem to have is going to be stripped. Everything. What He is dealing with here is our hearts.

Brethren, if you’re walking through life and you’re attached, and you’re dug in, and you love the things here, and the cares of this world consume you, that’s bad. There is this hesitation. Can you imagine the moment He comes? Undoubtedly, this thing is going to sequentially play out. There is going to be a moment when He first appears. How it’s all been structured and how it all falls out, i don’t know. But obviously, it’s happening in a sequence of time. Things are happening. And the first impulse in some people’s hearts, “Protect, protect this. Go hide. Keep this life. this can’t be happening! this just messes up everything that i had my heart set on. Everything! My goods!” Can you imagine? The man on his housetop, and there he is. And the things that are going through your mind is, “Oh no! What’s happening? i got family Erlins downstairs. i got pictures, pictures when my grandchildren were babies.”

Listen, if you don’t think people will think like that, all you have to do is watch a person that is in the midst of losing their house to a fire. And suddenly where is their mind going? People lose their lives going back into fires to get stuff. You don’t think it will be the same way? It’s the same people with the same kind of hearts! And you know what? When your heart is set on, “Oh Lord, Lord come. i want you more than anything else.” i’ll tell you brethren, to see some, hopefully even many in this room, to have Him come; and there is not a moment’s hesitation, there is not a looking back like Lot’s wife, “Oh no.” You see, you look back and it’s like, “Oooh, there is something back there that i don’t want to let go of.”

Brethren, i can see many in this place. You’re running across the field, you’re not looking back. You’re reaching out, “Lord.” Scripture says we are going to be caught up, that’s the rapture. It says it’s coming and it’s not secret. We are going to be caught up, probably instantaneously. But if it wasn’t instantaneous, i can see some of us just running, we are running to Him, we are leaving it all behind. this is our hearts desire. this is what we’ve been hoping for. But oh brethren, you can see in verse 33, where your heart is, now, is going to be every bit evident of where your heart is going to be the moment He comes. “Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will keep it.” Our Lord can just so naturally move from His coming, right into the condition of our own hearts. will we at the heart level be ready for His coming?

Brethren, this is not any dry, dusty doctrine for the bookshelf. The Second Coming of Christ is real. It has to do with us. Some few will be ready and the masses will not be. Are you ready? Well, are you seeking to preserve your life and your stuff now? Are you daily dying now? You know what that means? i daily am surrendering to what He wants for me, not what i want for me. My life is submitted to Him. i am His. To live is Christ. And if to die is gain, the coming of Christ is the same gain. And that’s how the Christian sees it. It is gain. Do you think of His coming and long for His coming? Folks, remember Lot’s wife. If your heart is like hers, it will not go well with you in that day. You see what Jesus is doing? He gave us the story of Lot, and He said My coming is going to be just like that. And by the way, lest you forget one of the aspects of that story, you better remember Lot’s wife because that figures into how Lot and what happened to him is going to be like My coming.

Notice this very quickly, those taken. Luke 17:34, “i tell you, in that night there will be two in one bed. One will be taken, the other left. There will be two women grinding together. One will be taken and the other left.” Verse 36, “Two men will be in the field. One will be taken, the other will be left.” You be honest. this portion of Scripture says nothing about a secret rapture. Nothing. You can see what this is talking about if you’re honest with the text. Nothing about a secret rapture. this has all been about the day in which the Son of Man is revealed. Can i tell you something? The same terminology is used over in Matthew 24. Do you know how Jesus goes forth from those words in Matthew 24? He goes forth telling us a parable about the wise and the foolish virgins. Five enter in and the door is shut; and five are left out. You want to know what being taken and being left is all about? That’s what He says. That’s what He tells us. We are going to look more at that in the weeks ahead.

You know what else He tells? He goes right on to tell another parable about servants. Two different kinds. You got the servants that were faithful, He says enter into the joy of the Lord. The one who is not faithful, He says throw them into outer darkness. You go right into the next. The Shepherd as He divides His sheep from the goats. The sheep, everlasting life. The goats, everlasting punishment. You want to know what it means to be taken? Remember what He is talking about? Noah is taken; put in the ark, the place of safety. Lot is taken from Sodom and Gomorrah to a place of safety. The wise virgins are taken behind the door into the banquet, a place of safety. Those good servants, away to the place of joy and safety. The sheep, taken to safety and eternal life.

this is no secret rapture folks. this is the day the Son of Man appears. And if you get left behind, there is no more chance. There is no 7-year tribulation to figure it out. It’s over, and you are undone. Luke 17:37, “They said to Him, ‘Where, Lord?'” You ask where all this is going to take place? He says “i’ll tell you where it’s going to take place. The things i am describing, i’ll tell you where they are all going to take place. They are going to take place everywhere there is a corpse.” That’s where it’s going to happen. What are these birds, these vultures? They tear the dead to shreds. You know where it’s going to happen? It’s going to happen wherever you have the dead who know nothing about the life of God in the soul of man. You can look at these vultures as the vultures of God’s judgment. i think that very clearly squares with that interpretation. “Where, you ask, are these going to happen?” Just ask yourself where the corpse of the dead humanity, devoid of the life of God. It’s the whole world. It’s the whole lost world. They are not taken. They are left. They are left to be eaten by God’s vultures of judgment.

Brethren, spectacular will be the vengeance, and it says the children of God are going to marvel. They are going to marvel at all of this unfolding. But it is going to be terrible. An awful day when God smites His enemies. Fearful. Glorious. Certain. It’s coming. We are 7 days closer than a week ago when we met and talked about these things. We are closer to that last day. It is coming, brethren, it is coming.

Father, i pray that these folks would be most ready for that day, living in anticipation, without being carried away by the cares of this world, that they would not be found to be Lot’s wife. You would have us to carry out and work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Lord, i pray that you would work a real fear and trembling in the hearts of Your people. You are a fearful, fearful God; but glorious and good; saving. Oh, we thank You that You have not just consigned us to wrath, but You have sent us a Savior, a way of deliverance. Thank You, thank You, thank You. In Christ’s name we pray, Amen.

Notice what He says in verse 23, “They will say to you, ‘Look, there!’ or ‘Look, here!'” He says, “Do not go out and follow them.” Why not, what if it is Christ? He says it won’t be. It won’t be Me. Verse 24, “For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in His day.” Now i just want you to stop at those last two words. What does “His day” mean? What is the day of the Son of Man? And again, i would take you back to verse 30. We know what our Lord has in mind: “So will it be on the day”. That is His day. The day when the Son of Man is apokalupto (revealed). That which is veiled is no longer veiled. His day is the day when the Son of Man comes again. He is revealed.

What does this imply? It implies that He is not revealed right now, and that goes hand in hand with what He is expecting. You guys are going to get in difficult times; there is going to be persecution. You guys are going to find yourselves in prison. You guys are going to find this world is not a nice place. Wars and rumors of wars, and affliction. Those who put you to death are going to think that they are doing God a favor. That is what you have to look forward to. It is going to be difficult. Remember He said this to them? He said, “i am telling you these things so that you don’t fall away.”

That’s why He is telling them these things because He is saying, “Look, there is going to come some days, He told them concerning fasting, they don’t fast now, the bridegroom is with them. The day is coming, the bridegroom is going to be taken away, they are going to fast. Those are hard days. There is sorrow, there is longing, there is difficulty. You are going to long for those days. Brethren, if we are living the Christian life right, we ought to be longing for Christ’s coming; longing to see Him; longing to escape. this is what His day [implies]. He is not revealed now, He is out of sight now but He is coming again.

Remember the two angels? When Jesus Christ ascended, His disciples were standing there, they’re watching Him go, He disappears into the clouds, two angels appear right there. They say in Acts chapter 1 verse 9, “As they were looking on, He was lifted up, and a cloud took Him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as He went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? this Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw Him go into heaven.'” You know why it is foolish; it is absolute foolishness to believe when anybody tells you that Jesus Christ has already come? Why is it so foolish? Because when He does come, there is not going to be any doubt in anybody’s mind that it is happening. That is why it’s foolish.

Listen, if there is any kind of event that takes place in this world that you actually have to sit there and contemplate “hmmn, i wonder if He has come,” you can be certain He hasn’t. That is what He is saying here. He says when He comes, it’s not going to be a matter that anybody has to sit down and do calculations or try to figure out. Nobody is going to have to say, “He’s over there!” It is going to be such an event that is going to take place, it is going to be so radical, it is going to be so bright. If you have to analyze whether He’s come or not, He hasn’t. Lightning, brethren, fills the whole sky. It’s like lightning flashing from one end to the other. Everyone knows it, everyone sees it. And so it’s going to be when the Son of Man is revealed. i want you to see this. There is nothing secret about this. It is like lightning that flashes, not secret.

You see, there is this very prevalent idea today that Jesus Christ is coming twice. Or, that His one coming can be broken up into two: the secret coming where He raptures the church, and 7 years later, this open coming where He defeats the Antichrist. Brethren, i’ll just tell you this, and you have to be honest. From this, there’s nothing about a secret coming. this coming right here is open, it’s apparent. Nothing about a two-part coming. There is one coming, very visible; precisely what John tells us. Listen to this: Revelation chapter 1 verse 7, “Behold, He is coming with the clouds.” this is just what the angels told the disciples, there in Acts chapter 1. “Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him.” You see how public it is? this thing is public, it is spectacular, and it is terrifying. Every eye will see Him. There will be no doubt. You don’t have to wonder, “Oh i wonder if it’s happening.” Every eye will see Him. It’s like the lightning. It’s greater than the lightning. You can imagine lightning flashing.

You know what? It’s the kind of thing that is instantaneous. You think about a bolt of lightning striking at midnight; black sky. A bolt of lightning could strike way over here on this horizon, and you would see it flash at night, probably in the day too. You can see the flash. Lightning is brilliant. It’s instantaneous. And the thing about it, well there are other things that happen instantaneously, maybe an earthquake happens instantaneously; a volcano erupts. But He is speaking about something every single one of us in this room are familiar with. We have all experienced lightning at night. Lightning, at all, we’ve experienced it. It registers with us. If we are all in here at night and a bolt of lightning strikes out there, you know what happened. Every eye is going to see it. You will know when it is happening.

Notice this, just listen to me. John says, “Every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of Him. Even so. Amen.” You know, as a young believer, i wondered at that verse. You get saved and you think, “i want to see the Lord. i have an expectation of seeing the Lord.” And then you read right here, “All the tribes of the earth will wail on account of Him.” Do you know what most men [think]? Oh i am sure. You talk to people on the streets, you come with us when we evangelize, you get a real clear picture about what people think. Almost every single person we speak with expects to be received by Jesus Christ. But the picture that our Bible portrays is a world full of wailing. i want you to imagine this. i want you to think about this. At the moment Jesus is revealed, think about what happens. That instantaneous moment. Every eye sees Him. Do you recognize what happens? How many ever billions of people are alive at that moment in time, something is happening to every one of them at the same instant. You know what is happening? You know what is happening. You know exactly.

We are talking people just like us. They have thoughts, they have hearts. A moment before, they were just living their lives. They had hopes, they had ambitions, they were going somewhere. Driving down the road; walking across the kitchen. Responsibilities, lives, hopes. Can you see it? Multitudes upon multitudes, at the very same instant, they are hit with “i am not ready. It is all over. this is not good.” i mean, it is happening to a world full of people spontaneously at the same moment. “i am undone.” Brethren, why would John describe a whole world of wailing? Because, by and large, that is representative. It is only this little flock, just little flock, (the ones who, right now, are counted as fools and fanatics, who loved Christ more than life itself,) who will be the exception. this silly, little, stupid bunch of nobody’s always reading their Bibles and talking about getting saved, who are going to marvel at His coming. Their shame will be turned to joy and gladness.

He says this, Luke 17:25, “But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.” You see, Jesus needs to say this. Why? Because just like we saw, the Pharisees, “You’re going to set up your kingdom now?” His disciples over in Luke 19, “Lord, is it at this time?” Remember even there when He is getting taken up in Acts chapter 1, “Okay Lord, is it this time? We thought it was when we were headed to Jerusalem but it didn’t happen then. Is it now?” You see, it is the same question over and over. Jesus is trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together for these guys. You notice: “First i must suffer.” They could not yet conceive of the cross. They fully expected Jesus to just come set up His earthly kingdom. But Jesus as He is speaking about His coming in glory, He is careful to mention first His humiliation, His suffering, His sorrow, which must precede His exaltation. Why? So that they don’t fall away. For the sake of their faith. Wasn’t it that way? Two on the road to Emmaus, “We thought it was going to be him. All disappointment now.” What He is doing is He is telling them; He is seeking to teach them so that His disciples wouldn’t be weakened by false expectations and misunderstandings. “Guys, i’ve got to suffer first.”

Now notice this. Two examples. Our Lord is going to give us two Old Testament judgments. Real historical judgments that He is going to liken His Second Coming to. You have to remember this. Whatever glory there may be; how much we ever may marvel, (and there may be a time for worship among us believers,) you have to recognize it is a time of judgment. And when He wants to go back into the Old Testament and pull up two stories that resemble His coming, both are stories of judgment. this should shake us because of what stories they are. They are the two most devastating Old Testament examples of judgment found in our Bibles.

Let’s read Luke 17:26, “Just as it was…” Brethren, i hope you catch those words. He’s not saying, “Well, when i come, it’s going to just basically be a celebration. Yes, there will be a little bit of judgment going on, and a few wicked people cast away.” No. He says, “Just the way it was in the days of Noah and the days of Lot. Just as it was, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came – and notice this – and destroyed them all. Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot— they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building, but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all.” Same words: destroyed them all. Verse 30, “So will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.” It is going to be a day for wailing. When those judgment rains began to fall, you can imagine as those waters rose, the people wailed. i don’t know if anybody was even given a chance to wail in Sodom and Gomorrah. Not in this world. They are wailing now. They were wailing moments afterwards in the place they were.

Two things. Two things i would have us notice about these two stories. True stories. Historical accounts that Jesus likens His own revealing to. One is: i mentioned that God destroys them all. Do you feel the weight of this? i mean, think about it. Of all the stories that He could have brought, He brings one, the first one, eight souls were spared. All the rest died. The second story, four souls escaped Sodom and Gomorrah. All the rest were burned alive. He says in verse 30, “So will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.” Just as it was in Noah’s day and in Lot’s day, so will it be. Our Lord said, “Few there be that find it.” Did He not? Our Lord also said, “When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith in the earth?” Oh it is going to be a terrible day. Terrible day. That was the first thing, God destroys them all.

Notice the second thing about these two stories: The unexpectedness. That ought to jump out at you. Just look! Look what He wants us to see. It’s not like you even go back into the Old Testament and find that these things were ever spoken about. These are things Jesus knows were true that He wants you to know were true. These are not things you go back to the Old Testament in the book of Genesis and read about. These are things that Jesus knew were taking place that are so much a parallel to when He comes. Just normal life. Just doing what you always do: eating, drinking, marrying, buying, selling, planting, building, life as usual. It happens when you don’t think it will happen. Notice both in the example of Noah and the example of Lot, they are just going along. And then what He says. He says they are just going along; eating, drinking, marrying, given in marriage, until the day. There’s always a day. There’s the day Noah went into the ark. Or how about with Lot? What’s happening? Eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building, but on the day when Lot went out of Sodom. In verse 30, “So will it be on the day…”

Just going along. Most men get caught unaware. Just engaged in other things. They are not expecting this. i mean, look, think about how life is. We just had a wedding yesterday. You folks have plans. Buying and selling. You know, put it right where you live. “Yeah, i’ve got to go to the store.” Or, “this is theology, that’s kind of where i live.” this Book has to do with where we live. You’re going to go to the store. Some of you ladies probably would have thought today, “i’ve got to go to Walmart. i’ve got to go to HEB. i’ve got to go to Costco. i’ve got to go to Sam’s.” Buying and selling. That’s what they are doing, just buying and selling. Marrying and given in marriage; we had a marriage yesterday. David was talking about marriage. Marriage sanctifying or not being married can be sanctifying. Some of you are married, you’re thinking about your marriage. Some of you are not married, you want to be married. this is life. this is just the normal things.

Planting. Well, we don’t do much planting, we go get our food somewhere. Building. It’s just the stuff of life. People thinking of making trip to the store. Business ventures; plans for a new house. Just life as usual, and it’s going to be exactly like this on the day when the Son of Man is revealed. Suddenly like a flash of lightning, there it is! And the King in all His glory, Scripture says, He is coming with His angels in flaming fire, and He is going to carry out vengeance on His enemies. And when you figure that by and large, the vast majority of this world is going to be at enmity against Him, even people, Jesus said many religious people are going to say to Me in that day, “Lord, Lord, we were there. We were in the church and we were doing many mighty works and prophesying and casting out demons. We were the religious folks. We were the ones saying Lord, Lord. We were there. We were singing the songs.” “i never knew you.” And they are going to know. They are going to know the moment that they see Him. They are not ready. He is going to bring vengeance against those who obeyed not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

i’ll tell you what, men’s hearts are going to fail. That’s where the wail comes from. Imagine it. Imagine whatever it is, 10 billion, 15 billion people, or whatever it is, alive on the earth at that time. The vast majority, their hearts will fail in the same moment. It’s all over. It’s all over. My friend, men may count you a fool for following Christ now. Not in that day, they will not. In our day, men’s lips are quick. They are quick to call us whatever they want to call us – “radicals, fanatics.” They want to mock, they want to say their things, they want to ridicule, they want to slander. In that day, no tongue will wag against God’s people. The richest, the most powerful people in this world, will trade everything to be one of the followers of the Lamb. Everything! But it’s too late. The door is shut. Their time of opportunity is gone. Oh, what fools! They were offered a Savior, not like the demons who had no chance. They were offered a Savior, and they said, “Nope.” Oh brethren, we go to people’s doors, you know it, “this Book, it was just written by men. It’s a mirage. It’s a myth. The Bible is just a bunch of stories.” It will not be that. It will be all too real.

Luke chapter 17 verse 20. We are in the midst of an ongoing study concerning eschatology — the study of end times. The end of what? End times; the end in relationship to what? Eternity is going to go on forever. Eternity has no end. Why do we talk about the end when there really is no end? Well, there is an end of something. Even though we are all going to exist forever; there are those things that are eternal; there are those things that are everlasting. There are also those things that come to an end. When we speak about end times, we are speaking about something that has closure.

The Bible speaks about the end, the end of the ages, the end of the age. Scripture speaks about the last days and even the last day – singular. There is an end of time. There is an end of this world. Peter tells us very plainly. 2 Peter 3:7, “The heavens and the earth that now exist are stored up for fire.” That’s what we are talking about. We are talking about this world; these heavens and this earth, as we know them now, they are destined for fire. this is all going to come to an end. this is going to be destroyed. The world we see now, has an end. That’s what we are talking about. End times – we’re talking about as we move towards that closure of this age, this world. That’s what we have in mind.

Today and Lord willing in the weeks ahead, we’re going to examine, just like we find right here in Luke chapter 17, we’re going to examine various places in Scripture. In the beginning, not Daniel, not Revelation, not Ezekiel. Again, what i’ve wanted us to do all along, we are going to look at some of the plain teaching. i want to stick to the Gospels for a number of weeks. i want us to see what Jesus said over and over and over again, before we launch off into the craziness of Revelation. i want you to see what comes from Scripture.

Brethren, what we need to strive to do is this: Look at Scripture and exegete it. We need to have the Word speak to us. You know what the problem is? You have too many people that fly off to Daniel and to Revelation. They have been indoctrinated by a system, led to believe certain things, and now they can’t read any of their Bible without reading those things into it. That is not a proper way to approach the Scriptures with you already having assumptions about what it means before you ever get there.

The proper way to approach Scripture is to go to Scripture, let it speak to you, and say, “Does my system fit with that?” And if it doesn’t, what do you do with the system? You throw the Bible out the backdoor and say, “i’m holding to that system nevertheless”? Brethren, that is the easy way to end up going down a path you don’t want to go down. That is a dangerous path. Let’s let Scripture speak to us. And today, it’s going to be out of Luke 17. Now, just for starters here, i want to hit you with this, time and again in the weeks ahead, because i just want you to get a basic framework in your head about what we are talking about.

Premillennial dispensationalism holds to an eschatology, a view of end times, we’re talking about ‘Left Behind’. Most of the fundamentalist churches in this country, John Hagee touts this stuff, John MacArthur. We’re talking about guys, believers, fellowship right up here on the north side of our own city. this is the eschatology they hold to. Let me tell you the timeline; just a basic timeline. Here we are now. Next major event in God’s timeline is what? The rapture. That’s what they are looking for next. Followed by seven years of tribulation, at which time the notorious Antichrist is going to take power. At the end of that seven years of tribulation, Jesus Christ is going to come. The battle of Armageddon; the defeat of the Antichrist; Satan bound. Now a thousand, literal thousand years is ushered in, at the end of which time is a rebellion: Gog and Magog. Devil is defeated, thrown in the lake of fire, the wicked are judged. Now we enter into the eternal realm.

That is a basic timeline. Look, anytime you try to summarize a system, somebody is going to say, “Yeah, but i know so and so who believe such and such.” Yeah i know. this is the basic timeline associated with dispensational premillennialism. i know there is a historic premillennialism, but this dispensationalism is what i really want to go after. Over against what? What i believe the Scriptures teach is: We are in this age. The eternal age is coming. The only thing that separates us is the coming of Christ. All the dead are raised, all are judged, and the eternal kingdom is ushered in. That’s what i believe Scripture says.

What i want you to all do is as we examine Christ’s teaching on these matters, today and in the weeks ahead, i want you to be honest. Honest, not with what your system has taught you, but i want you to be honest with what you read. i am not saying it’s all easy. There are some things i don’t know if i am ever going to figure out in this lifetime. i am striving to. Those places that are really difficult are not the places we want to start. We want to start in the places that are not that difficult.

So, my question is this: Does Luke 17 verse 20 and following indicate a timeline like the dispensationalists hold to or like the one i just described? this age, the age to come, separated by Christ’s coming, the resurrection of the dead, a general judgment, and the ushering in of the new heaven and the new earth. New heavens – plural, and new earth.

Well, let’s read. Luke 17 verse 20, “Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” KJV, NKJV says within. Now, there’s no difference in the Greek behind different translations here. It can be translated either way. The kingdom of God is in the midst of you or is within you. Both readings are correct.

“He said to the disciples, ‘The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. They will say to you, ‘Look, there!’ or ‘Look, here!’ Do not go out or follow them. For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in His day. But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot — they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building, but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all — so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

On that day, let the one who is on the housetop, with his goods in the house, not come down to take them away. Likewise let the one who is in the field not turn back. Remember Lot’s wife. Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will keep it. i tell you, in that night there will be two in one bed. One will be taken, the other left. There will be two women grinding together; one will be taken, the other left.” Verse 36 found is some manuscripts, not in others, reads this way, “Two men will be in the field; one will be taken, the other will be left.” That is definitely found in Matthew’s Gospel. There’s no debate about it being found there. “They said to him, ‘Where, Lord?’ He said to them, ‘Where the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.'”

Now i just want you to notice verse 30: “So will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.” That word ‘revealed.’ Sometimes we speak about the Apocalypse. That word ‘revealed.’ That’s it. Apokalupto. That’s where we get the Apocalypse from. The Son of Man is revealed. There’s no question about the meaning of that word. It has to do with making something visible; uncovering. It carries the idea to lay open what has been veiled or covered up. There’s something that is hidden right now; it is going to be revealed. Christ, the Son of Man is going to be revealed. That is what is being spoken about here.

Brethren, we live between two comings of Christ. He came the first time incarnate; robed Himself with humanity. He came into this world to live under the Law. He came into this world to give His life a ransom for many. And He has been taken up. And He is seated at the right hand of the Father. But He is coming again. He is going to be revealed. The faith of the New Testament Church is dominated by this expectation. He came once, He has been taken up – passed through the heavens, ascended, seated at the right hand of majesty where He reigns now. And He will reign until all of His enemies are made a footstool for His feet. And He will come. He will come. That is our expectation.

But now here is the thing. Before we dive into the Second Coming, i want you to see something. Notice verse 20, “Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come.” Now notice this: you have Pharisees. The Pharisees were by and large not friends of our Lord Jesus Christ. By and large, they did not believe He was the Messiah. But they have a question. Why would they ask Jesus about the coming of the kingdom when they don’t even believe He’s the Messiah? Why take your theological questions to somebody you believe is an imposter? Well, precisely for that reason. Because you do believe He’s an imposter. By your question, you’re trying to expose Him. That’s what they were constantly doing with their questions.

But notice: “When is the kingdom of God coming?” He answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!'” — concerning the kingdom. Nobody is going to be able to say, “Look, there it is, being established right over there.” That’s what He says. Nobody is going to say that. Why? Because it is not going to be established that way. “For behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you (or is within you).” Jesus came and said, “Repent.” He claimed that the kingdom of God had come. From the days of John the Baptist until now, you know what? The kingdom of heaven is taken by violence. You press into it. Unless you become as little children, you don’t enter. Unless you are born again, you don’t enter. Unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees.

Brethren, let me tell you: The kingdom is not in food and drink. The kingdom is spiritual. The kingdom has to do with righteousness. You see, when we speak about the kingdom, we are speaking about the realm where a king rules. He rules in men’s hearts. When you submit to Christ, that is where somebody is entering the kingdom. That is what the kingdom is all about. Brethren, most of these Pharisees did not believe that Jesus was the Messiah, but you know what? He claimed to be. He said He is. You know what they had an idea about the kingdom? “It’s going to be here, it’s going to be observable, it’s going to be recognizable.” They put Messiah together with a physical, earthly kingdom. And so they said, “You are claiming to be the Messiah, where is your kingdom?” They didn’t believe He was. And this was only confirming to them He wasn’t. Because they expected when Messiah came, He’s going to set up a kingdom. His own disciples believed that. But you know what? We are right to connect Messiah and kingdom, only not in the way they imagined. They thought the coming Messiah meant a physical kingdom on this earth.

In effect, they are saying, “You say you are the Messiah, where is your kingdom?” And you know what? We can tell, by the way our Lord answers their question, that the Pharisees did in fact expect an earthly kingdom. i mean, see how He corrects their thinking: “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed.” You see, obviously these guys are saying, “Where is it?” Well, for Jesus to answer this way and say, “Not in ways that are observed. You’re never going to say ‘Look here it is’ or ‘There.'” Well, you answer this way only if when this is precisely what the Pharisees expected, but when what they expected is a wrong expectation. He is correcting them, “Guys, it’s not like you think. It’s not observable.”

Let me ask you a question, if we are just going to be honest with Scripture. Just honest. Does it sound to you like Jesus is saying, “The kingdom of God is coming in a way that is observable, only after the rapture and after the 7-year tribulation”? Let us be honest. Our Lord interacted with Pilate, you remember that? Pilate, “Are you the King of Israel?” “You say that i am.” Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world.” Oh brethren, the kingdom is going to be most observable, but not in this world. His kingdom is not of this world. Nobody here is going to be able to say “It’s over there, It’s over there, it’s observable.”

i said to a dispensational friend of mine. i said, “Brother, Jesus Christ said His kingdom is not of this world.” He said, “Not yet.” You know what the dispensational guys want to tell you? “We are the ones who literally interpret Scripture.” My dispensational friends, would you please literally interpret this: Not observable. Not of this world. i just want us to be honest with Scripture. The kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Can i tell you this: Our Lord Jesus Christ NEVER, NEVER gave even a single indication that His kingdom would ever be physically set up in this world. Ever. You cannot find it. You have to read it into His words if you are going to come to that conclusion. He never said so. Jesus Christ reigns in men’s hearts.

Brethren, just very quickly before i leave this subject, turn over a page or two in your Bibles to Luke 19. i want you to see something. this was an ongoing issue about His kingdom. Now notice this: Verse 11 of Luke 19, “As they heard these things, He proceeded to tell a parable, because He was near to Jerusalem, and because – notice this – they supposed that the kingdom of God was to appear immediately.” That’s what everybody, that’s what the Pharisees expected. They expected the Messiah to come in, set up an earthly kingdom, sit Himself back on David’s throne, and take care of all their enemies. That is what they expected. “Is it here now Lord, are you going to set it up now?” You see they supposed that the kingdom of God was to appear immediately.

Does our Lord say that it is going to appear immediately or anywhere in this world? Notice how He answers. “He said therefore,” Notice in verse 11, He proceeded to tell a parable. Now let’s look at the parable, verse 12: “He said therefore, ‘A nobleman went into a far country.'” Let me just tell you right off, you can look at this more in depth later, the nobleman is Christ. The far country is Him going to heaven. this is a parable. There is a nobleman that represents Christ. He goes into a far country, which means He goes away. He ascended up to His Father. Notice this: It is while He is far away that He receives the kingdom. Brethren make no mistake about that. The kingdom is being received by Christ now. His enemies are being put down now. Every time a sinner falls in repentance before Christ, there is an enemy subdued. And every time one of the wicked dies, there is an enemy subdued. His enemies are being put down now. He went. When He is far away, He is getting for Himself a kingdom. Make sure you see that. That’s all the more i want to do with that right now. If you doubt what i am saying that that has to do with Christ, or that has to do with Him ascending and going away for now, you can look further at that later. i don’t want to spend a lot of time.

But notice this: “A nobleman went into a far country to receive for Himself a kingdom and then return.” You see, when He comes and returns, it is not to set up a kingdom here. He has already got the kingdom. It is at that point He ushers in eternity. It is at that point the new Jerusalem comes down. The place of His reign is a new heavens and a new earth. But notice that. Because i am going to make a case later on that this thousand-year kingdom of Revelation is now. You see, He is getting the kingdom for Himself now. The kingdom has come now. Repent! For the kingdom of God is at hand (Now). It is not a physical kingdom in this world, nor will it ever be a kingdom that is going to be established in this world. this world is going to be destroyed, and then that kingdom is going to be brought here that He has earned and established.

Anyway, back to Luke 17. The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed. i think you all have to admit that just based on those texts, to come up with a thousand-year kingdom in this world before the end of this world, is not found there. You have to put it there. You have to come up with it from somewhere else and bring it here. It’s not here. What Jesus says is, it’s not observable. Okay, let’s keep going. Verse 22, “And He said to the disciples, ‘The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.'” What Jesus is anticipating is that His disciples are going to yearn for His presence. Don’t any of you ever find yourself longing for that? He recognized that such days were coming. Such days of sin, rampant wickedness, hardship, affliction, persecution. What do they want? They want His help, they want His presence.

Days are going to come when you want to see one of the days of the Son of Man. That means you want Him there. You want Him with you. He has gone. You want one of the days when He was here with you; or to jump forward to one of the days when He is going to be back with you. You want a deliverer. You want the help. In such times of difficulty, you know what’s going to happen? You’re going to have deceivers jump up and cater to people who are looking for help or for deliverance. In such times, Jesus predicts that men are going to rise pretending to be the messiah. And so, Jesus takes this occasion to caution His disciples against being led astray.

See don't come out here to speak on what you have little or no information about, firstly the people practicing it are they complaining?

Secondly the system has proven to be a good system for wealth and knowledge transfer and has stood the test of time even in modern day society..

Thirdly no one is insulting the standard education of others, if not how come Igbos are one of the highest in the country for university education like medicine, law and so on....

The problem i have noticed with a lot with you guys is you people have lived with Igbos but barely know Igbos, you think those of the Igbos who have become successful don't one way or the other still put their children through some form apprenticeship system either in their field of study or out of their field of study...

One thing about an average Igbo man is he believes if he is to venture into something he should be the best at doing it even if it means going to serve someone to get the knowledge and knowhow, this is not about status.

i was still in the university at 300 level when i decided i wanted to learn computer enginnering, i was studying business admin, i didn't have the money then to pay for any professional training, i went to computer village one day and saw some young guys who we did a transaction with.

And i asked them if i can serve under them and somehow they agreed, these guys were all Yorubas, the highest of them was an OND holder.

i will wake up in the moring to open the shop, clean it, take the generator down stairs go on all errands, in fact just think of what a boy boy does i did it, the day i forgot the generator downstairs i was punished for it.

But today all that effort are paying off on computer engineering even without a computer engineering certificate....

So i don't know where you guys get some of your narrative that Igbos are insulting those going to school, to an average Igbo man the end result is having the money from whatever thing he is venturing into....

If the school you go to brings the money fire on, if the nwa boy method will bring the money fire on, if both combined will bring the money fire on, i have seen nwa boys going to school these days, they come back from school and stay till night while they have others who are older that stay during the day, i mean these are young nwa boys of 10-13 Years of age.

What i see taking place among Igbos is a blend of both, i have said i will try and make efforts for all universities in Igbo land to have a form of apprenticeship program in Every field of study, then also an education program for every nwa boy not going to school....

Though it is already happening on personal levels but i want it institutionalized....

You're missing the point.

i wish to make it clear that my writeup was without prejudice and nowhere did i compare Igbos to other tribes.

The summary of what i wrote is that the system is beneficial to the less privileged as it gives them a chance.

However, apprenticeship alone cannot make you dine with kings and the importance of formal education cannot be overemphasized.

N3TRAL:
Comments regarding why every indigenous teenager and young adult from the Southeast of Nigeria should embrace the renowned Igbo apprenticeship system have been prevalent on social media lately. My belief is that the system is most suitable for the less privileged because the average Gen Z individual born to middle-class parents or who has experienced a degree of affluence may struggle to endure the rigorous training.

The master benefits from the system as it saves them the expense of paying employees and significantly reduces the risk of employees absconding with the business’ resources, given that a master typically selects an apprentice with a close familial or village connection. The apprentice gains informal education in a specific line of business, connections with suppliers, and most importantly, funding that their family may not afford.

It is not advantageous to undergo the apprenticeship system for five years if one's family can finance their business. i know numerous undergraduates at university who began with small-scale dropshipping and have progressed to importing larger quantities of products from China. Additionally, i am acquainted with graduates who received financial backing from their families to initiate small-scale businesses after completing their NYSC program, and these businesses have since developed into medium-scale enterprises.

A formally educated individual with a business inclination has the potential to excel in business more than an uneducated apprentice. The apprenticeship system is effective for small-scale businesses where one individual is responsible for procurement, stockkeeping, marketing, retailing, and even securing the business premises. However, it is not sustainable for structured medium-scale or large-scale businesses. There is little that an Igbo airline owner, oil servicing company proprietor, or FMCGs like MarketSquare can teach an apprentice. One can only learn from such businesses as an intern during tertiary education IT or as a graduate trainee. i doubt that any apprentice has handled the amount of dollars that the young founders of Paystack, Flutterwave, and Moniepoint have in the last five years.

The apprenticeship system imposes lifelong limitations. The most prominent Igbo figures did not undergo this system. It will not afford one a dining seat close to the POTUS like Chimamanda Adichie or Ngozi Iweala. Nor will it guarantee a ticket to the Federal legislature like the notorious Ekweremadu or the outspoken Abaribe. In fact, from 1999 to date, i am unaware of any Governor in the South East who emerged from this system. Neither Soludo - a professor of Economics, nor Obiano - a finance expert, nor Ngige - a trained medical doctor, nor Otti - a finance expert, nor Umahi - an Engineer, nor his successor - a lawyer. Not Ojukwu, who attended a military university, nor Nnamdi Kanu. Even the new generation of wealthy Igbos like Obi Cubanna, E-money, and his brother, etc., are graduates who did not undergo this system.

Without formal education, one may be restricted and potentially mediocre for the remainder of their life. And what about the daunting "what if" scenario of being falsely accused of theft or misconduct just before one's master agreed to settle them?

If you reside with your widowed mother in the village with younger siblings looking up to you, the apprenticeship system presents your best opportunity to support your family. There are superior opportunities available if you are better off.

See don't come out here to speak on what you have little or no information about, firstly the people practicing it are they complaining?

April 13, 2024
Last night, April 12, our community in the Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau state faced a horrific attack resulting in the senseless slaughter of at least ten of our members. Despite the presence of security forces, including the DSS, army, and Police, the perpetrators, identified as Fulani terrorists, were allowed to carry out their heinous acts with impunity.
Under the cover of darkness, more than fifty armed terrorists descended upon the villages of Mandung-Mushu and Kopnanle, targeting innocent, unarmed, and peaceful residents as they slept. The assailants set fire to homes and a place of worship, mercilessly gunning down fleeing civilians while nearby soldiers failed to intervene effectively.
this brazen attack, which predominantly targeted children, appears to be part of a calculated effort to instill fear and perpetrate further displacement within our communities. We condemn this act of terror, which we believe is aligned with a broader agenda to impose sharia law and seize control of our lands.
Just hours before this tragedy unfolded, BCDC Vanguard submitted a petition to the Department of State Services (DSS), challenging a leaked memo that falsely accused our people of planning violence against Fulani residents. We unequivocally stated that the intelligence behind the memo was fabricated and defamatory.
Despite our efforts to rectify these falsehoods, the security apparatus failed to protect our community from the very threats we highlighted. We are appalled by the apparent prioritization of the lives of Fulani residents over our own and demand answers from the authorities.
The timing of this attack, following closely on the heels of the DSS's erroneous warning of an impending assault on Fulani communities, raises serious concerns about collusion or deliberate neglect. We refuse to accept such injustice and demand immediate transparency and accountability.
this is more so that advance notices of attack in the area were published and circulated at least a week prior to the so-called DSS intelligence. The DSS ignored these warnings and instead chose to implicate the victims despite acknowledging in their memo that the Fulani were responsible for the six-day attack that claimed over 300 of our members last Christmas.
We wish to put on record that the DSS alert is synonymous with the age-long strategy of the Fulani terrorists who often raise false alarms to intimidate residents and/or justify planned attacks. And unless the DSS clears its name on this, we reckon that it is complicit and compromised.

Should the authorities fail to provide satisfactory explanations within the shortest possible time, we are prepared to pursue legal recourse. Enough is enough—we will not allow our people to be targeted and vilified while those responsible for our safety turn a blind eye.

Natives went and stole Fulani cows, and burned Fulani houses.

Fulanis attacked.

Students started protesting and blocking roads, and demolished the security check point near the school, soldiers came and the students started pelting them with stones. Soldiers shot and hit some students, but had to withdraw because the students were rampaging.

Not long after the students forced the security to leave, fulanis came and started shooting.

The speaker called for more security to return and the situation was finally calmed.

Ambiguous news about Amalek aka the Israelis attacking Iran. We will understand better as time goes on.

But we know the end of all these, the rise of the kings of Persia, and it is the LORD'S device to destroy Babylon

Jeremiah 51:11-14
King James Version
11 Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the Lord hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the Lord, the vengeance of his temple.

Once it becomes clear the nature and severity of the Babylonian/Amalekite/Israeli attack, Iran will follow through with its promise to 'review its nuclear policy' and puppet Ayatollah will be the first casualty. The IRGC will be disbanded and dismantled

We will see General Ahasuerus, General Darius, General Xerxes, General Cyrus, General Artaxerxes, the husbands of Babylon!

this will be the end of the tribulation of Israel as Persia will call his wife Babylon to order and cage her!

2 Chronicles 36:19-21
King James Version
19 And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.
20 And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia:
21 To fulfil the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfil threescore and ten years.

You see, it was the kings of Persia that freed the Jews from Babylonian slavery. They will also the end this tribulation and slavery of Israel and the Jews

Darius, King of Babylon. Cyrus, King of Babylon. Artaxerxes, King of Babylon

Daniel 5:29-31
29 Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
30 In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.
31 And Darius the Median took the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old.

Ezra 5:13
But in the first year of Cyrus the king of Babylon the same king Cyrus made a decree to build this house of God.

Nehemiah 13:6
But in all this time was not i at Jerusalem: for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came i unto the king, and after certain days obtained i leave of the king:

if they are in the US, they won't be alive to tell the tale. If the Police put up a barricade and you drive past it, you put them in danger, and they can shoot in self-defense. i hope they survive...your friends shouldn't travel at night, evade barricades, and claim they were in a hurry. As a police officer, i would think they are either kidnappers, robbers, or ESN and would have assumed they must be harmed.

The policemen were attending to other cars and my friends were in a hurry
They tried to pass the check point the police man threatened them by pointing his gun, my friends thought it was just to scare them

Though it was tempting to ask him if he even knows how to cook, i decided to shut my mouth.

At a point, i decided to do a little bit of forming and leave about half of my delicious rice untouched so it won't look as if i'm a glutton. (Babe gats get swag and pride small na 🙄)

Actually, i was the only one pretending cause Alex finished his semo and soup and proceeded to clear off the left over rice while i watched in bewilderment. Man's got a really ferocious appetite.

“Even Jesus Christ didn't waste food.” He said with a laugh sounding somewhat fulfilled and satisfied as he noticed that i was looking intently at him like he was performing some sort of magic trick by making all the food disappear.

The waiter came back to clear the table and Alex got serious again as soon as he left us alone.

i know you're wondering why i asked you to meet me here after work. Well, ugh, i just want to apologize for my behavior and how i've treated you ever since we started working together.” He narrated and paused to examine my facial expression.

Wait, what? Alex is apologizing to me? For real? i must be Lasgidi dreaming or something! i'm speechless!

i know it's a shocker but that's not how i am. i've been dealing with a lot of crazy stuff recently and then my secretary gives birth and has to go on maternity leave and you're just fresh off the bench and clueless about how i operate. i was trying to force you to be like Rita.” He explained.

i'm sorry Folake.” That's it! The magic words. Proud Alex just admitted to me that he's sorry? My head was almost bursting. That must have chipped off a ton of pride from him.

"So what do you say? Do you forgive little ol me?" He asked as i was just looking at him like i've seen a ghost.

i forgive you Sir.” i said nervously.

“Call me Alex when we're out here and thank you.” He interjected with a little smile which i returned.

i want us to drop the animosity and just be cool.” He continued biting his lips. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that he's very embarrassed and uneasy right now.

In the back of my mind, i felt like laughing about the whole thing. Ama, Promise and Tina are going to laugh their hearts out when they hear this.

But Wait oh, maybe i shouldn't tell Ama and Promise. They might lose their regards for him if they realize that he made himself appear weak and vulnerable by apologizing to a common secretary.

We spoke at length about some random and trivial things before it was time for us to leave. He offered to drop me off at home. i sat in front with the driver so i could give him directions while he sat at the back like a king.

As soon as i got home, i crashed into a sofa and prayed silently thanking God for the fact that i still have a job as i thought Alex was going to put me in a tough position and eventually fire me or something.

“Lala is that you?” i heard Tina yelling from the direction of the kitchen and that was when i perceived the sweet inviting aroma of food hanging heavy in the air and i realized that she's cooking. That's new! But i couldn't have been more thankful since i was still hungry.

“Yeah it's me T.” i yelled back and got up making my way to the kitchen where i found her busy stirring a pot of stew.

“Welcome, you're late today what happened?” She asked as she turned down the heat on the burner where the stew was. That's where i noticed that there was another pot on the next burner which must be the one containing the rice.

i gave her the full details of all that happened including my encounter with Alex.

We shared a few good laughs about it before i went upstairs, got changed and rejoined her in the kitchen where we had dinner and Tina had to leave for somewhere that night being a typical 'waka-waka' babe while i went to bed finding it difficult to fall asleep as i kept thinking about all the things that Alex said and did today.

After two straight hours of staying awake in bed, i finally rolled over and fell asleep only waking up the next morning at the sound of my alarm.

***

Tuesday morning was a total mystery and i wondered what wonders Alex will perform today.
Is he going to go back to being Jack Frosty or continue being fun like James Corden? i thought to myself as i took slow steps towards my cubicle.

In a matter of moments, Alex arrived with his phone to his ear and only waved at me as he continued walking proudly and disappeared into his office.

He waved at me. Wow! Cool! My heart skipped a beat.

As i sat there thinking about it, the desk phone rang and like i assumed, it was Alex asking to see me in his office.

"Good morning Sir." i said shyly uncertain of what his mood is going to be like today.

"Morning Folake. How are you today?" He asked swivelling in his chair with an intimidating expression on his face but not the usually disdainful look.

"Fine Sir." i responded rather nervously as he has never asked about my welfare except that one encounter outside the store.

He didn't say much as i read the schedule for the day to him and getting the tasks that he had for me.

"The ice has finally melted." i said to myself as i returned to my cubicle to focus on the assignments ahead.

Throughout the week, Alex seemed to be in a very good mood and was less annoying and more human and kind. He didn't criticize my work like he used to and wasn't screaming at me to get things done like i was a robot. i was finally enjoying my life at work. Thank God for this blessing!

Two weeks later...

"Print that report and bring it to me at Kebari's when you're ready to leave." Alex ordered and hurried off before i could even say a word.

So this guy's ego has finally deflated? angry grin

Nairaland / General / Kwara Govt Donates N10m To Owode Marketers After Inferno by Jimsonjaat96(m): 8:57pm On Apr 16
The Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq-led government of Kwara State, on Tuesday, April 16, donated a sum of N10m to Owode marketers whose shops were engulfed by inferno.

The government, through the Kwara State Emergency Management Agency (KSEMA), made this known during the presentation of a N10m cheque at the palace of the Olofa of Offaland, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Okikiola Ajagbungbade i, Esuwoye II.

It would be recalled that earlier this month, the popular market in the ancient town of Offa, Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State, went up in flames, with property estimated at about N360 million destroyed in the inferno.

It was gathered that the fire outbreak, which affected a section of the market, started at about 2:00 am and raged for about five hours before the combined efforts of men from the federal and state fire services could put out the fire. About 50 shops were burnt in the inferno, while the bustling commercial hub, housing 3,820 shops and 1,180 stands, suffered minimal damage. It was also gathered that goods, especially foodstuffs, charcoal, and fairly used clothes, worth millions of naira, were lost to the inferno.

Reacting to the N10m donation, the Olofa of Offa, applauding Governor Abdulrazaq, said, “When i came around the day it happened, i said Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is a governor for all. He knows everything that’s happening here as if he lives in Offa. He hadn’t spoken to me that day, but i had told people he would do something. Just yesterday, i was informed of this relief fund. He will also rebuild the market.

“Our governor is the governor for all Kwara and Kwarans: not just a section of the state. He responds to us all simultaneously. May God continue to guide him. i named him ‘Soludero’ when he emerged, has he not acted likewise? i named him Soludero of Offa for a cognizance reason.

“He has done it again. He has said Offa is his second home and he’s proving that to us all. He always delivers whenever he promises Offa anything.” The monarch also announced his plans to build another market along Offa-Ikotun road. He thereafter advised the marketers to be wary of possible causes of fire incidents to guard against a recurrence.

“If each of you is given N10m, it won’t be as it would say fire hadn’t engulfed your shops. So, be very careful and look out for possible causes of fire accidents. Pay utmost attention to electricity and charcoal. Let’s strive to avoid a repeat. The Executive Secretary of Kwara State Emergency Management Agency (KSEMA), Mallam Moshood Saadu Mogaji, narrated that the Agency had come to Offa for an on-the-site assessment the day of the incident.

“We came down to conduct an assessment as directed by the governor. We did the needful, and the governor, who loves the people of Offa so much, graciously approved a sum of N10m to the affected traders to bring succor to the affected people.

“Our Permanent Secretary asked us to tell you that he wants the Owode market to become a modern and international market. i myself attended the Federal Polytechnic Offa, and we used to buy commodities in Owode market. We thank you all for the warm reception.”

Also, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Offa, Hon. Alh Nasirdeen Adegboye, fondly known as Kunle Papa, said the state government’s gesture towards the affected traders was not politically motivated.

“Our governor has done well, and our heads swell with pride. We – the Offa APC - therefore thank him through our royal father, the Olofa of Offa.

this is not a political time, so you can’t say our governor is using this gesture as a basis for a campaign. He is not campaigning."

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara and former Commissioner for Enterprise, Water Resources & Energy, Hon. (Prince) Abdulwahab Femi Agbaje Whyte, applauded the state government for pro-activeness and responsiveness.

“We know our amiable governor, His Excellency Governor Abdulrahman for being responsible, responsive, and proactive. He was in Saudi Arabia when it happened, but we know he is going to come through for our people, and he didn’t disappoint us. i can assure you the governor would have come to Offa had he been in the state then. He was very concerned and was communicating with us. His responsiveness is top-notch.

“He sympathizes with us very well. He considers Offa as his second home, and he has been doing a lot for us. He has not disappointed us since he emerged. We thank him immensely. i must urge the people of Offa community to reciprocate this good gesture. i once again express my sympathy to the Owode marketers. May we not witness a disaster above our lives. Allah says, ‘after hardship comes ease’. “

Ogbeni Seun David Ogunniyi, the Kwara State House of Assembly member representing Ojomu/Balogun Constituency, described the Owode fire incident as an ‘untoward incident’.

“It was not envisaged, but we thank God for how things have turned around now.

i had been exchanging messages with the governor since that night, and i kept updating him. He promised that he will wipe away the tears of affected people; he has fulfilled that now.

“So, we thank Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq immensely. i know our people know good gestures and they pay good with good. Today’s donation is a sign and wonder and goes a long way to explain how high-placed Offa is in the governor’s mind. He is highly responsive.”

He assured the people the governor will attend to other yearnings of the people on health, road infrastructure, education, and so on.

Honourable Abdulwaheed Gbenga Yusuf JK, the Kwara State House of Assembly member representing Essa/Shawo/Igboidun Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly and the Chairman of the House Committee on Works and Transport, applauded the Olofa of Offa and Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

“We thank God He gives us a king that loves his people. When the fire incident happened as God willed, our governor was very concerned as he loves Offa so much. Brother Femi (Hon Femi White) can bear witness. How he comes through for us is amazing.

“We also need to appreciate our fire services because what they were saying on social media was different from the realities on that day. They really tried.”

AbuTwins:

You don't need to separate the old testament from the New as Jesus said in Mathew 5:17 “Do not think that i have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; i have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."

So in essence he came to fulfil the old testament laws from his father! Or are you saying the New Testament corrected the errors of God in the old testament? It is the same God of the Old testament that is the same God of the New Testament or has He changed?

i copied this one from someone here.

1) Capital Punishment Crimes:

Kill People Who Don’t Listen to Priests
Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel. (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT)

Kill Witches
You should not let a sorceress live. (Exodus 22:17 NAB)

Kill Homosexuals
“If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives.” (Leviticus 20:13 NAB)

Kill Fortunetellers
A man or a woman who acts as a medium or fortuneteller shall be put to death by stoning; they have no one but themselves to blame for their death. (Leviticus 20:27 NAB)

Death for Hitting Dad
Whoever strikes his father or mother shall be put to death. (Exodus 21:15 NAB)

Death for Cursing Parents
1) If one curses his father or mother, his lamp will go out at the coming of darkness. (Proverbs 20:20 NAB)

2) All who curse their father or mother must be put to death. They are guilty of a capital offense. (Leviticus 20:9 NLT)

Death for Adultery
If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10 NLT)

Death for Fornication
A priest’s daughter who loses her honor by committing fornication and thereby dishonors her father also, shall be burned to death. (Leviticus 21:9 NAB)

Death to Followers of Other Religions
Whoever sacrifices to any god, except the Lord alone, shall be doomed. (Exodus 22:19 NAB)

Kill Nonbelievers
They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB)

Kill False Prophets
If a man still prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall say to him, “You shall not live, because you have spoken a lie in the name of the Lord.” When he prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall thrust him through. (Zechariah 13:3 NAB)

Kill the Entire Town if One Person Worships Another God
Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God. That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt. Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors. “The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands i am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him.” (Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT)

Kill Women Who Are Not Virgins On Their Wedding night
But if this charge is true (that she wasn’t a virgin on her wedding night), and evidence of the girls virginity is not found, they shall bring the girl to the entrance of her fathers house and there her townsman shall stone her to death, because she committed a crime against Israel by her unchasteness in her father’s house. Thus shall you purge the evil from your midst. (Deuteronomy 22:20-21 NAB)

Kill Followers of Other Religions.
1) If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery. And all Israel, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst. (Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB)

2) Suppose a man or woman among you, in one of your towns that the LORD your God is giving you, has done evil in the sight of the LORD your God and has violated the covenant by serving other gods or by worshiping the sun, the moon, or any of the forces of heaven, which i have strictly forbidden. When you hear about it, investigate the matter thoroughly. If it is true that this detestable thing has been done in Israel, then that man or woman must be taken to the gates of the town and stoned to death. (Deuteronomy 17:2-5 NLT)

Death for Blasphemy
One day a man who had an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father got into a fight with one of the Israelite men. During the fight, this son of an Israelite woman blasphemed the LORD’s name. So the man was brought to Moses for judgment. His mother’s name was Shelomith. She was the daughter of Dibri of the tribe of Dan. They put the man in custody until the LORD’s will in the matter should become clear. Then the LORD said to Moses, “Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and tell all those who heard him to lay their hands on his head. Then let the entire community stone him to death. Say to the people of Israel: Those who blaspheme God will suffer the consequences of their guilt and be punished. Anyone who blasphemes the LORD’s name must be stoned to death by the whole community of Israel. Any Israelite or foreigner among you who blasphemes the LORD’s name will surely die. (Leviticus 24:10-16 NLT)

Kill False Prophets
1) Suppose there are prophets among you, or those who have dreams about the future, and they promise you signs or miracles, and the predicted signs or miracles take place. If the prophets then say, ‘Come, let us worship the gods of foreign nations,’ do not listen to them. The LORD your God is testing you to see if you love him with all your heart and soul. Serve only the LORD your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him. The false prophets or dreamers who try to lead you astray must be put to death, for they encourage rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of slavery in the land of Egypt. Since they try to keep you from following the LORD your God, you must execute them to remove the evil from among you. (Deuteronomy 13:1-5 NLT)

2) But any prophet who claims to give a message from another god or who falsely claims to speak for me must die.’ You may wonder, ‘How will we know whether the prophecy is from the LORD or not?’ If the prophet predicts something in the LORD’s name and it does not happen, the LORD did not give the message. That prophet has spoken on his own and need not be feared. (Deuteronomy 18:20-22 NLT)

Infidels and Gays Should Die
So God let them go ahead and do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. Instead of believing what they knew was the truth about God, they deliberately chose to believe lies. So they worshiped the things God made but not the Creator himself, who is to be praised forever. Amen. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relationships with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men and, as a result, suffered within themselves the penalty they so richly deserved. When they refused to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their evil minds and let them do things that should never be done. Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, fighting, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They are forever inventing new ways of sinning and are disobedient to their parents. They refuse to understand, break their promises, and are heartless and unforgiving. They are fully aware of God’s death penalty for those who do these things, yet they go right ahead and do them anyway. And, worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too. (Romans 1:24-32 NLT)

Kill Anyone who Approaches the Tabernacle
For the LORD had said to Moses, ‘Exempt the tribe of Levi from the census; do not include them when you count the rest of the Israelites. You must put the Levites in charge of the Tabernacle of the Covenant, along with its furnishings and equipment. They must carry the Tabernacle and its equipment as you travel, and they must care for it and camp around it. Whenever the Tabernacle is moved, the Levites will take it down and set it up again. Anyone else who goes too near the Tabernacle will be executed.’ (Numbers 1:48-51 NLT)

Kill People for Working on the Sabbath
The LORD then gave these further instructions to Moses: ‘Tell the people of Israel to keep my Sabbath day, for the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between me and you forever. It helps you to remember that i am the LORD, who makes you holy. Yes, keep the Sabbath day, for it is holy. Anyone who desecrates it must die; anyone who works on that day will be cut off from the community. Work six days only, but the seventh day must be a day of total rest. i repeat: Because the LORD considers it a holy day, anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death.’ (Exodus 31:12-15 NLT)

What do you think about all these?

Just like i expected, i actually told you not to quote Old Testament passages, as the practices there ONLY APPLIES to the JEWS, they DO NOT APPLY to we CHRISTIANS because we are followers of CHRIST in the dispensation of GRACE. But you went ahead and dug up Old Testament passages, something that Jesus Christ came down to earth to change!

You can ONLY use these passages against the JEWS, because they are still observing most of those passages under Mosaic Laws.

i'm sure you know that the Laws of Moses and the teachings of Jesus are not the same, right?

For instance, in the book of MATTHEW 5:21-24, Jesus said:

“You have heard that it was said to the people in the PAST, ‘You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.’ But i say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire. So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift".

Under the laws of Moses, the Bible says in the book of EXODUS 21:24-25:

"EYE FOR EYE, TOOTH FOR TOOTH, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise."

In the same light under Mosaic laws, the Bible in the book of LEVITICUS 24:17- 21 says:

“Whoever takes a human life shall surely be put to death. Whoever takes an animal's life shall make it good, life for life. If anyone injures his neighbor, as he has done it shall be done to him, fracture for fracture, EYE FOR EYE, TOOTH FOR TOOTH; whatever injury he has given a person shall be given to him."

The above passages are all in the Old Testament, and they used to be the general practice under Mosaic laws.

However, since Jesus Christ came in the New Testament, he brought a different teaching which is now the position of Christians, we are Christians because we are FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST and not MOSES, we acknowledge the Prophets in the past, but their teachings and Laws DO NOT apply to CHRISTIANS, as Jesus Christ has changed all that, Jesus taught about forgiveness and love.

Let me quote a few of the New Testament teachings of Jesus Christ.

LUKE 6:27-28:
"But to you who are listening i say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you".

1 PETER 3:9:
"Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing."

ROMANS 12:14, 17-19:

"Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse . . . Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; i will repay,” says the Lord.

Also, in the book of ACTS 17:30, the Bible says:

“God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in the PAST, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him".

The teachings of Christ are those of love, forgiveness, peace, tolerance, kindness e.t.c.

The reason why we are CHRISTIANS and not JEWS is that Jesus Christ came to fulfil the Mosaic laws, all those passages you quoted were operational during the days of Moses, David, Jacob, e.t.c, and they first applied to the children of Israel in their journey to the promised land.

Jesus Christ came and made the difference!!

Islamic teachings are just like Mosaic Laws, violence is all you lots know, that is why the JEWS too are as violent as you Muslims, just that the Mosaic laws did not permit the JEWS to kill unbelievers, nor perform any form of JIHAD, unlike the quran!!

this is the reason why the CHRISTIANS are peaceful and non-violent towards unbelievers, it is the reason why you hardly see any CHRISTIAN fighting for YAHWEH, Jesus taught us to leave vengeance for him..
Religion / Re: Adeboye Exposed His Lies By Claiming He Drank Tea With God by Sand2022: 11:01am On Apr 15
alBHAGDADI:

Saying he heard the voice of God loud and clear is one big lie. No man hears the voice of God today unlike in Bible times. The only time we hear Gods voice is when we read the Bible which is the word of God. Everything God has to say to mankind has been recorded in the Bible. So, anyone claiming to get extra words is a false prophet.

Do you know what it means to say you heard the voice of God today? It means you have extra words from God which you want to add to the Bible. But God has laid a curse on such people and they won't be in the book of life. Hell fire awaits them because God specifically warned that no man should add to his word nor subtract from it.

Deuteronomy 4:2 King James Version

2 Ye shall not add unto the word which i command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which i command you

this scripture doesn't mean that God can't speak to people today. this command is specifically saying that one can't add to the Mosaic law God gave Moses.

God has been and is still speaking to people today.

After Moses' day, God still spoke to many more prophets He raised like Jeremiah.

Revelation 22:18-19 King James Version

18 For i testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

So, friend, when next a pastor says something like "God spoke to me last night", kindly ask the pastor to show you what God said and that he should place it verbatim with God's word in the Bible. If what he claims to have heard from God doesn't match God's word in the Bible verbatim, then he's lying. Flee from him because he's peddling extra words which never came from God.

Why do false prophets claim to hear extra words from God? It makes them appear as someone that has a relationship with God that is special than what others have. It is also because people love fables. Such people hate the truth, which is why they pack themselves in mega churches to listen to fables like "i drove a car on empty fuel tank".

The book of revelation you quoted is specifically talking about that revelation or vision God gave to John. It doesn't mean God stopped speaking to people after that time. The last written book is not even revelation but 3John

Not every word God spoke made it to the bible canon. What we now call bible is what group of God lovers assembled for all who feared God. Their picking book so and so doesn't mean the words became God's after their selection. It had always been God's, only that God's human worshipers put them all together. They however, didn't gather all God had ever said to humans on earth. Jesus said many many other words that didn't appear in the bible record. Weren't those Gods word as well?

You need to remember that in most cases, God's true prophets are honoured long time after they die. When they're alive, many don't seem to believe them. Jeremiah and Jesus didn't get a thumbs up from the religious communities they lived in. We need to be careful that we're not becoming the unbelievers of our time.

If some claims to hear from God. It's ok, but what does his work promote? Does it promote what God hates? Does he promote a moral depraved lifestyle? We need to be properly guided lest we become fighters against God.

i don't know much about Adeboye, but i have not seen anything that will make me doubt him. And the biblical proves you bring to make your point doesn't match.

Kiki

"You're one amazing dancer doll." Dwayne commented giving me a peck on the cheek.

"Thanks Dwayne, body like mine pays the bills." i said feeling myself a bit.

Well, it's Friday night and i've just finished my shift for tonight. As promised, i've given Dwayne a breathtaking lap dance. (One that he won't forget in a hurry.)

Unlike other guys though, he didn't try to touch me which made me feel very comfortable while dancing for him.

"i really do like you K-DOLL" He said and all i could do was laugh. i mean who wouldn't like a girl me. Perfect body, pretty face, i've got it all.

"You don't say." i replied in my usual sassy voice.

"i'm serious. Although y'all gave me a wrong number yesterday, but we could roll out me and you. i'm not talking about flings and one nightstands here." He said with a serious expression on his face.

"i'm a stripper Dwayne, i don't do boyfriends." i responded honestly and got up to leave.

"Okay let's just be friends then, just gimme your number to start with. Promise not to bombard you with calls and messages. Pinkie promise." He said raising his pinkie.

"Fine. Gimme your phone then." i said sighing defeatedly.

i took the phone from him and typed in my number before saying goodnight and walked back to the dressing room where i had to get changed.

"He found out that we gave him a fake number didn't he?" Erica asked trying to suppress her laughter as i walked into the busy dressing room with a little frown on my face.

"You mean you gave him a fake number." i retorted making air quotes.

"Eish, Whatever! He was meant to find out anyway. i'm sure that my nasty ex breathed some fire." She joked and we burst out laughing so hard that the other girls in the room gave us some awkward stares which we cared less about.

i took time to fill her in on my discussion with Dwayne joking and laughing about it as we did so.

"What's taking y'all so long to get up here? Customers are waiting." Larry, the owner of the club barked as he barged into the room huffing and puffing. Dude has no chill.

The other girls who were kinda b-grade scurried out of the room like scared little rabbits while me and Erica were still busy removing our makeup.

"You girls did great tonight." He commented and i only responded with a nod.

"As always daddy." Erica said in a little voice wiggling her long painted nails. Such a drama queen. Yikes!

"And oh, that reminds me, Erica, lose that belly fat." He teased before walking out of the room.

"He didn't just say that to my face did he?" Erica cried out looking down at her belly which was becoming less flat as the days go by.

"i think he kinda did." i said amidst muffled laughter.

"Well is it true? Is my belly getting fat?" Erica asked with a little frown.

"No offense but you look five months pregnant Eri." i responded with a snort. That kinda angered her as she started throwing the makeup wipes at me while i kept laughing and calling her 'fatty'.

***

"i'm so exhausted." Erica whined as we exited the gym. She's finally agreed to get registered at the gym today thanks to getting repeatedly teased about her belly.

"You're so lazy Eri." i complained and started up the car. We've barely exercised for 10 minutes and she already wants to go home and stuff her face with food.

"Just take me home B, i'll get better. You know i'm new to this. i'm just doing this to keep my stripper body and my job." She rapped tiredly.

"You don't say." i injected icily as she kept poking my arm playfully trying to make me laugh a bit.

"Let's get some sandwiches, i'm so freaking hungry." Erica suggested as we drove past a little fast food place and i stepped on the brakes bringing the car to a halt with a little screech about two blocks away from the fast food place.

"You go get it." i said as i opened the water bottle and put it on my lips.

"Nah, we going together." Erica protested with a little frown.

"Let's go then." i finally agreed getting down from the car and she also followed suit.

"That'll be eighty." The cashier said and i received the paper bag from her passing her a hundred dollar bill.

"You can keep the change." i said and turned to walk back to where Erica was standing outside making a call when i suddenly jammed with a familiar pair of eyes.

"Hey beautiful Doll." He greets with a smile while still standing in my way.

"You're blocking my way." i said instead, ignoring his greetings.

"Sorry about that." He says and steps aside as he saw the death glares i was giving him.

"Why are you everywhere?" i questioned through gritted teeth as i started walking towards the exit.

"It's called chemistry Doll, relax." He replied with a chuckle and i shook my head quickening my steps.

"i'll call you later." He yelled as i paid him no mind and walked out of the place. So annoying!

****

Four Months Later:

"Why haven't you gotten a boyfriend yet Kiara Thomas?" My mum asked as i settled down on the couch. i'm currently in New Orleans where my mum is staying.

"Mum i'm not ready for a relationship yet." i babbled like a preschooler.

"You'll be 25 in two weeks Kiara." My mum dragged on.

"i'm a stripper mum, i don't..."

"Shut up and listen to me Kiara, just because you dance at a strip club doesn't mean that you are condemned to be emotionally empty and alone forever. Amy is getting married soon, and you need to make plans for something like that as well." My mum nagged as i kept rubbing my forehead in frustration.

My mom always gives fine sermons.

"Fine, i'll look for a boyfriend then." i said throwing my hands in the air.

Well my mum is kinda right, i haven't had a boyfriend since i was nineteen. Crazy right?

"Not just any boyfriend Hun, but a good man. i'm not talking about the drug dealers and thugs you dance for Kiara." My mom added sternly.

"Understood ma'am."

"And happy birthday to you." She said in a totally different tone handing me a shopping bag which was beside her wheelchair.

"this is so beautiful mum, thank you, thank you!!" i screamed excitedly as i took out the contents of the bag; a pair of Levi's and black stilettos.

"i hope the Levi's size you right." My mum commented as i kept lifting the cloth in the air in admiration.

"Of course it'll size me. Thanks so much mum." i squealed squeezing my mum in a tight hug.

***
It's seven in the evening and i was chilling on the couch watching a corny and boring TV show. i came back to Florida some days back.

A little knock sounded on my door and i quietly got up to see who it was. Dwayne! Speak of the devil!!

i opened the door and found him baring his pearly whites in an infectious smile which i didn't hesitate to return.

"Hey Doll." He greeted and extended his arms for a hug.

"My door bell still works you know." i stated as soon as we disengaged from the hug.

"i'm a cave man." He said with a little laugh beating his chest.

"Whatever." i said in my usual duh tone rolling my eyes as i turned round and walked lazily back to the couch.

"You're looking mighty fine tonight." He commented as he shut the door and followed me into the room.

"Thanks D." i replied with a small smile as i felt his eyes seeping through my clothes. Well i wasn't wearing much anyway. Just a bralette which barely covered my nipples and sport shorts which resembled an underwear. Everything he wanted to see was on full disclosure.

In case you're interested in knowing why Dwayne is at my house, let me get you a low down;

In the past few months, me and Dwayne have become really great friends even though we're not dating, we've slept over at each other's place but nothing funny has happened. Not even a kiss!

"What did you have for dinner?" Dwayne asked amidst a loud yawn and i threw a cushion at him.

"Easy girl!" He exclaimed after catching the cushion in mid air.

"i ate some pizza." i said as i smiled fascinated by his agility.

"You're a real time junkie. Wonder how you still got a body like that." He complained shaking his head as he stood up and walked towards the kitchen.

"And you know that i can't cook." i said rubbing my nails.

For y'all who don't know, Dwayne is one crazy cook and you can take that to the bank!

"Where is the pasta?" He asked as i walked into the kitchen after a while to find him ransacking the cabinets apparently looking for the pasta.

"First one on the left." i said and he opened it and found the pack of pasta.

"You in?" He queried as he wanted to know the quantity of pasta to prepare.

"Is that a question? You think i'd let you cook my pasta, in my kitchen and still eat all of it alone?" i queried rolling my eyes.

"Stingy!" He mumbled and i slapped him hard on the butt.

"Chill, will ya?" He said after letting out a little yelp.

He lit up the fire and placed the pot of pasta on the stove before turning round to face me as he unbuttoned his shirt.

"Let me help with that." i offered and he let me undo the buttons.

"Mmmm." He moaned softly as i ran my fingers slowly down his now bare torso. The word 'Motown' was tatted up in black ink on his chest. Well that's his hometown - Detroit.

He further extended his hands to his back and i gently slipped down the sleeves of the shirt pulling em off his arms.

i stood behind him continually biting my lower lip as i stared at his muscular back which had the inscription;

'3-1-3 made In Detroit' tatted up also in black ink. Such a patriot!

i ran my long painted nails down his spine and i could sense him cringe a bit.

"That tickles." He said as he turned round and grabbed my fingers for a minute before letting go and grabbing my waist instead lifting me up and placing me on the kitchen counter.

i wrapped my arms around his neck as he kept placing soft kisses down my neck. We flirt a whole lot most of the time when we are alone but like i said, no kissing on the lips and no sex.

"You know, we could stay like this forever and a day and forfeit the pasta or you could let me concentrate with my cooking." He whispered softly in my ear after he stopped kissing on my neck.

i heaved a long sigh and let go of him so he could return to the food.

"Slice me some onions doll." He said passing me a knife from the rack.

"You wish! i just got my nails done. Do you want me to break them?" i asked showing him my nails.

"How bout i get em redone? You know i'm paid." He opined and i rolled my eyes taking the knife from him making him smile a bit.

As much as i try to deny it, i've developed some feelings for Dwayne over time and it sucks that i can't have him anymore because i already turned him down months ago. Now we're just friends and nothing more.

Religion / Re: Adeboye Exposed His Lies By Claiming He Drank Tea With God by Beautifulday: 12:27pm On Apr 14
alBHAGDADI:

i recently saw a video which had Pastor Enoch Adeboye saying he once drank tea with God, adding that he heard the voice of God. According to Adeboye, the incident happened in Ilorin.

He said, "i was in Ilorin years ago, we were having breakfast, and we have a pot then for always making tea. And if i remember correctly, there are five cups then in that pot.

"My wife and i usually use take it turn by turn till the final cup so that day, i took one, she took one, i took one, she took one and then i put my hand in the pot to take my third one which is the last cup in the pot but it was empty.

"i looked at her, i couldn’t remember seeing her take the cup, so i wondered what happened to my tea and lo behold, i heard the voice of the lord loud and clear, saying ‘son, when you prayed, you invited me to join you and i did'.

"Some of you don't know why i call him Daddy! We have a relationship that is difficult to describe."

Also recently, i saw a video of Pastor Abel Damina lambasting Adeboye and his claim of drinking tea with God.

He said, "Somebody say he drank tea with God. When you read the bible, God said If i were hungry, i will not ask you what food do you have? i don't eat human food. My son, Give me your heart. He said If i wanted a house to live in, i wouldn't live in your house, the cattle upon a thousand hill belongs to me, i own it all. i don't need any of these things. You need them, i don't. What i need is your heart.

"i forgot to ask what brand of tea it was so we could all start drinking that brand. Peradventure, God may join us to drink.

"It is time for us to expose all these lies free people from religious manipulation and bring them into Christ emancipation. Our loyalty is to Christ. There is only one person who died and that is the person we owe our loyalty to. i will only honour men who honour him.''

The truth is Ademoye never drank tea with God. He only made that story up to make himself look good and hyper spiritual before his dumb congregation.

No wonder he ended the fable by saying, "Some of you don't know why i call him Daddy! We have a relationship that is difficult to describe."

Does God eat food? No. But can he eat food if he wants to? Yes, because he's God and can do whatever he wants. He did eat food when he visited Abraham in Mamre as recorded in Genesis 18. He also ate food and drank when he walked the earth as Jesus. However, that doesn't justify Adeboye's claim of drinking tea with God. i'll show you why.

Adeboye stated that while drinking tea with his wife, "lo behold, i heard the voice of the lord loud and clear, saying ‘son, when you prayed, you invited me to join you and i did'."

2 Ye shall not add unto the word which i command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which i command you.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 King James Version

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

If God doesn't speak to you personally, how can you claim to be a child of God or led by God.

*30* And now, i command you, my children, not to love money, nor to gaze upon the beauty of women; because for the sake of money and beauty i was led astray to Bathshua the Canaanite.

*31* For i know that because of these two things shall my race fall into wickedness.

*32* For even wise men among my sons shall they mar, and shall cause the kingdom of Judah to be diminished, which the Lord gave me because of my obedience to my father.

*33* For i never caused grief to Jacob, my father; for all things whatever he commanded i did.

*34* And Isaac, the father of my father, blessed me to be king in Israel, and Jacob further blessed me in like manner.

*35* And i know that from me shall the kingdom be established.

*36* And i know what evils you will do in the last days.

*37* Therefore my children, beware of fornication, and the love of money, and listen to Judah your father.

*38* For these things withdraw off from the law of God, and blind the inclination of the soul, and teach arrogance, and would not allow a man to have compassion on his neighbour.

*39* They rob his soul of all goodness, and oppress him with toils and troubles, and drive away sleep from him, and devour his flesh.

*40* And he hinders the sacrifices of God; and he forgets the blessing of God, he would not listen to a prophet when he speaks, and he resents the words of godliness.

*41* For he is a slave to two contrary passions, and cannot obey God, because they have blinded his soul, and he walketh in the day as in the night.

*42* My children, the love of money leads to idolatry; because, when led astray through money, men name as gods those who are not gods, and it causes him who has it to fall into madness.

*43* For the sake of money i lost my children, and had not my repentance and my humiliation, and the prayers of my father been accepted, i should have died childless.

*44* But the God of my fathers had mercy on me, because i did it in ignorance.

*45* And the prince of deceit blinded me, and i sinned as a man and as flesh, being corrupted through sins; and i learnt my own weakness while thinking myself invincible.

*46* Know, therefore, my children, that two spirits wait upon man-the spirit of truth and the spirit of deceit.

*47* And in the midst is the spirit of understanding of the mind, to which it belongs to turn wherever it will. And the works of truth and the works of deceit are written upon the hearts of men, and each one of them the Lord knows.

*49* And there is no time at which the works of men can be hid; for on the heart itself have the works of the man been written down before the Lord.

*50* And the spirit of truth testifies all things, and accuses all; and the sinner is burnt up by his own heart, and cannot raise his face to the Judge.

*1* AND now, my children, i command you, love Levi, that you may abide, and exalt not yourselves against him, lest you be utterly destroyed.

*2* For to me the Lord gave the kingdom, and to him the priesthood, and He set the kingdom beneath the priesthood.

*3* To me He gave the things on the earth; but to Levi He gave the things in the heavens.

*4* As the heaven is higher than the earth, so is the priesthood of God higher than the earthly kingdom, unless it falls away through sin from the Lord and is dominated by the earthly kingdom.

*5* For the angel of the Lord said to me: "The Lord chose him rather than you, to draw near to Him, and to eat of His Table and to offer Him the first-fruits of the choice things of the sons of Israel; but you shall be king of Jacob."

*6* And you shall be amongst them as the sea:

*7* For as, on the sea, just and unjust are tossed about, some taken into captivity while some are enriched, so also shall every race of men be in you: some shall be impoverished, being taken captive, and others grow rich by plundering the possessions of others.

*8* For the kings shall be as sea-monsters:

*9* They shall swallow men like fishes: the sons and daughters of freemen shall they enslave; houses, lands, flocks, money shall they plunder:

*10* And with the flesh of many shall they wrongfully feed the ravens and the cranes; and they shall advance in evil in covetousness uplifted, and there shall be false prophets like tempest, and they shall persecute all righteous men.

*11* And the Lord shall bring upon them divisions one against another:

*12* And there shall be continual wars in Israel; and among men of another race shall my kingdom be brought to an end, until the salvation of Israel shall come.

*13* Until the appearing of the God of righteousness, that Jacob, and all the Gentiles may rest in peace.

*14* And He shall guard the might of my kingdom for ever; for the Lord revealed to me with an oath that He would not destroy the kingdom from my seed for ever.

*15* Now i have much grief, my children, because of your lewdness and witchcrafts, and idolatries which you shall practise against the kingdom, following them that have familiar spirits, diviners, and demons of error.

*16* You shall make your daughters singing girls and harlots, and you shall mingle in the abominations of the Gentiles.

*17* For which things' sake the Lord shall bring upon you famine and pestilence, death and the sword, beleaguering by enemies, and revilings of friends, the slaughter of children, the rape of wives, the plundering of possessions, the burning of the temple of God, the laying waste of the land, the enslavement of yourselves among the Gentiles.

*18* And they shall make some of you eunuchs for their wives.

*19* Until the Lord visit you, when with perfect heart you repent and walk in all His commandments, and He bring you up from captivity among the Gentiles.

*20* And after these things shall a Star arise to you from Jacob in peace,

*21* And a Man shall arise from my seed, like the Sun of righteousness,

*22* Walking with the sons of men in meekness and righteousness;

*23* And no sin shall be found in Him.

*24* And the heavens shall be opened to Him, to pour out the Spirit, even the blessing of the Holy Father; and He shall pour out the Spirit of grace upon you;

*25* And you shall be to Him sons in truth, and you shall walk in His commandments first and last.

*26* Then shall the sceptre of my kingdom shine forth; and from your root shall arise a stem; and from it shall grow a rod of righteousness to the Gentiles, to judge and to save all that call upon the Lord.

*26* And after these things shall Abraham and Isaac and Jacob arise to life; and i and my brethren shall be chiefs of the tribes of Israel:

*28* Levi first, i the second, Joseph third, Benjamin fourth, Simeon fifth, Issachar sixth, and so all in order.

*29* And the Lord blessed Levi, and the Angel of the Presence, me; the powers of glory, Simeon; the heaven, Reuben; the earth, Issachar; the sea, Zebulun; the mountains, Joseph; the tabernacle, Benjamin; the luminaries, Dan; Eden, Naphtali; the sun, Gad; the moon, Asher.

*30* And you shall be the people of the Lord, and have one tongue; and there shall be there no spirit of deceit of Beliar, for he shall be cast into the fire forever.

*31* And they who have died in grief shall arise in joy, and they who were poor for the Lord's sake shall be made rich, and they who are put to death for the Lord's sake shall awake to life.

*32* And the harts of Jacob shall run in joyfulness, and the eagles of Israel shall fly in gladness; and all the people shall glorify the Lord forever.

*33* Observe, therefore, my children, all the law of the Lord, for there is hope for all them who hold fast to His ways.

*34* And he said to them: "Behold, i die before your eyes this day, a hundred and nineteen years old.

*35* Let no one bury me in expensive apparel, nor tear open my bowels, for this shall those who are kings do; and carry me up to Hebron with you."

*36* And Judah, when he had said these things, fell asleep; and his sons did according to all whatsoever he commanded them, and they buried him in Hebron, with his fathers.

THE TESTAMENT OF JUDAH - 1
[Judah 1:1-54]

Judah, the fourth son of Jacob and Leah. He's the Giant, He's Athletic, He's a Warrior: Angel of Might was with him everywhere.

*1* THE copy of the words of Judah, what things he spoke to his sons before he died.

*2* They gathered themselves together, therefore, and came to him, and he said to them: "Listen, my children, to Judah your father.

*3* i was the fourth son born to my father Jacob; and Leah my mother named me Judah, saying, "i give thanks to the Lord, because He has given me a fourth son also."

*4* i was swift in my youth, and obedient to my father in everything.

*5* And i honoured my mother and my mother's sister.

*6* And it came to pass, when i became a man, that my father blessed me, saying, "You shall be a king, prospering in all things."

*7* And the Lord showed me favour in all my works both in the field and in the house.

*8* i raced a hind that i know, and caught it, and prepared the meat for my father, and he did eat.

*9* And i used to master the roes in the chase, and i use to overtake all that was in the plains.

*10* i overtook a wild mare, and caught it and tamed it.

*11* i killed a lion and plucked a kid out of its mouth.

*12* i took a bear by its paw and hurled it down the cliff, and it was crushed.

*13* i outran the wild boar, and seizing it as i ran, i tore it in sunder.

*14* A leopard in Hebron leaped on my dog, and i caught it by the tail, and hurled it on the rocks, and it was broken in two.

*15* i found a wild ox feeding in the fields, and seizing it by the horns, and whirling it round and stunning it, i cast it from me and killed it.

*16* And when the two kings of the Canaanites came sheathed, in armour against our flocks, and much people with them, single handedly i rushed on the king of Hazor, and killed him on the greives and dragged him down, and so i killed him.

*17* And the other, the king of Tappuah, as he sat upon his horse, i killed, and so i scattered all his people.

*18* i found Achor the king, a man of giant stature, hurling javelins before and behind as he sat on horseback, and i took up a stone of sixty pounds weight, and hurled it and smote his horse, and killed it.

*19* And i fought with this other for two hours; and i clave his shield in two, and i chopped off his feet, and killed him.

*20* And as i was stripping off his breastplate, behold nine men his companions began to fight with me,

*21* And i wound my garment on my hand; and i slung stones at them, and killed four of them, and the rest of them fled.

*22* And Jacob my father killed Beelesath, king of all the kings, a giant in strength, twelve cubits high.

*23* And fear fell on them, and they ceased warring against us.

*24* Therefore my father was free from anxiety in the wars when i was with my brethren.

*25* For my father saw in a vision concerning me that an angel of might followed me everywhere, that i should not be overcome.

*26* And in the south there came against us a greater war than that in Shechem; and i joined in battle array with my brethren, and pursued a thousand men, and killed two hundred of them and four kings.

*27* And i went up on the wall, and i killed four mighty men.

*28* And so we captured Hazor, and took all the spoil.

*29* And the next day we departed to Aretan, a city strong and walled and inaccessible, threatening us with death.

*30* But i and Gad approached on the east side of the city, and Reuben and Levi on the west side.

*31* And they that were on the wall, thinking that we were alone, were drawn down against us.

*32* And so my brothers secretly climbed up the wall on both sides by stakes, and entered the city, while the men were unaware.

*33* And we took it with the edge of the sword.

*34* And as for those who had taken refuge in the tower, we set fire to the tower and took both it and, them.

*35* And as we were departing the men of Tappuah seized our spoil, and seeing this we fought with them.

*36* And we killed them all and recovered our spoil.

*37* And when i was at the waters of Kozeba, the men of Jobel came against us to battle.

*38* And we fought with them and routed them; and we killed their allies from Shiloh, and we did not leave them power to come in against us.

*39* And the men of Makir came against us the fifth day, to seize our spoil; and we attacked them and overcame them in fierce battle: for there was a host of mighty men amongst them, and we killed them before they had gone up the ascent.

*40* And when we came to their city their women rolled on us stones from the brow of the hill on which the city stood.

*41* And i and Simeon hid ourselves behind the town, and seized upon the heights, and destroyed this city also.

*42* And the next day we were told that the king of the city of Gaash with a mighty host was coming against us.

*43* i, therefore, and Dan feigned ourselves to be Amorites, and as allies went into their city.

*44* And in the depth of night our brethren came and we opened to them the gates; and we destroyed all the men and their substance, and we took for a prey all that was theirs, and their three walls we cast down.

*45* And we drew near to Thamna, where was all the substance of the hostile kings.

*46* Then being insulted by them, i was therefore angry, and rushed against them to the summit; and they kept slinging against me stones and darts.

*47* And had not Dan my brother helped me, they would have killed me.

*48* We came upon them, therefore, with anger, and they all fled; and passing by another way, they fought my father, and he made peace with them.

*49* And we did to them no hurt, and they became tributary to us, and we restored to them their spoil.

*50* And i built Thamna, and my father built Pabael.

*51* i was twenty years old when these wars happened. And the Canaanites feared me and my brethren.

*52* And i had much cattle, and i had for chief herdsman Iram the Adullamite.

*53* And when i went to him i saw Parsaba, king of Adullam; and he spoke to us, and he made us a feast; and when i was heated he gave me his daughter Bathshua to wife.

*54* She bore me Er, and Onan and Shelah; and two of them the Lord killed: but Shelah lived, and his children are you.

THE TESTAMENT OF JUDAH - 2
[Judah 2:1-35]

Judah reveals Jacob killed Esau his twin brother, his encounter with an adventuress and his sexual intercourse with Tamar

*1* FOR eighteen years my father abode in peace with his brother Esau, and his sons with us, after we came from Mesopotamia, from Laban.

*2* And when eighteen years were fulfilled, in the fortieth year of my life, Esau, the brother of my father, came against us with a mighty and strong people.

*3* And Jacob killed Esau with an arrow, and he was taken up wounded on Mount Seir, and as he went he died at Anoniram.

*4* And we pursued after the sons of Esau.

*5* Now they had a city with walls of iron and gates of brass; and we could not enter into it, and we encamped around, and besieged it.

*6* And when they opened not to us in twenty days, i set up a ladder in the sight of all and with my shield upon my head i went up, sustaining the assault of stones, upwards of three talents weight; and i killed four of their mighty men.

*7* And Reuben and Gad killed six others.

*8* Then they asked from us terms of peace; and having taken counsel with our father, we received them as tributaries.

*9* And they gave us five hundred cors of wheat, five hundred baths of oil, five hundred measures of wine, until the famine, when we went down into Egypt.

*10* And after these things my son Er married a wife Tamar, from Mesopotamia, a daughter of Aram.

*11* Now Er was wicked, and he was in need concerning Tamar, because she was not of the land of Canaan.

*12* And on the third night an angel of the Lord killed him.

*13* And he had not even slept with Tamar according to the evil craftiness of his mother, for he did not wish to have children by Tamar.

*14* In the days of the wedding feast i gave Onan to Tamar in marriage; and he also in wickedness did not sleep her, though he lived with her for a whole year.

*15* And when i threatened him he went in to sleep her, but he ejaculated on the ground, according to the command of his mother, and he also died through wickedness.

*16* And i wished to give Shelah also to her, but his mother did not permit it; for she wrought evil against Tamar her daughter-in-law, because she was not the daughters of Canaan, as she also herself was.

*17* And i knew that the race of the Canaanites was wicked, but the impulse of youth blinded my mind.

*18* And when i saw her pouring out wine, owing to the intoxication of wine i was deceived, and married her although my father had not counselled it.

*19* And while i was away she went and married for Shelah a wife from Canaan.

*20* And when i knew what she had done, i cursed her in the anguish of my soul.

*21* And she also died through her wickedness together with her sons.

*22* And after these things, while Tamar was a widow, she heard after two years that i was going up, to shear my sheep, and adorned herself in bridal array, and sat in the city Enaim by the gate.

*23* For it was a law of the Amorites, that she who was about to marry should sit in fornication seven days by the gate.

*24* Therefore being drunk with wine, i did not recognize her; and her beauty deceived me, through the fashion of her adorning.

*25* And i turned aside to her, and said: "Let me sleep with you."

*26* And she said: "What will you give me?" And i gave her my staff, and my girdle, and the diadem of my kingdom in pledge.

*27* And i slept with her, and she conceived.

*28* And not knowing what i had done, i wished to kill her; but she privily sent my pledges, and put me to shame.

*29* And when i called her, i heard also the secret words which i spoke when sleeping with her in my drunkenness; and i could not kill her, because it was the Lord's doing.

*30* For i said, "Perhaps she did it in subtlety, having received the pledge from another woman."

*31* But i never came near her again while i lived, because i had done this abomination in all Israel.

*32* Moreover, those who were in the city said there was no harlot in the gate, because she came from another place, and sat for a while in the gate.

*33* And i thought that no one knew that i had slept with her.

*34* And after this we came into Egypt to Joseph, because of the famine.

*35* And i was forty six years old then, and i have lived seventy three years in Egypt.

THE TESTAMENT OF JUDAH - 3
[Judah 3:1-50]

Judah preaches against wine and lust, showing both as twin evils

*1* AND now i command you, my children, listen to Judah your father, and keep my sayings to perform all the ordinances of the Lord, and to obey the commands of God.

*2* And do not walk after your lusts, nor in the imaginations of your thoughts in haughtiness of heart; and do not boast in the deeds and strength of your youth, for this also is evil in the eyes of the Lord.

*3* Since i also boasted that in wars no beautiful woman's face would ever enticed me, and i reproved Reuben my brother concerning Bilhah, the wife of my father, the spirits of jealousy and of fornication set themselves against me, until i fell into sleeping with Bathshua the Canaanite, and with Tamar, who was espoused to my sons.

*4* For i said to my father-in-law: "i will take advice with my father, and so will i marry your daughter."

*5* And he was unwilling but he showed me a boundless store of gold reserved in his daughter's behalf; for he was a king.

*6* And he adorned her with gold and pearls, and caused her to pour out wine for us at the feast with the beauty of women.

*7* And the wine turned aside my eyes, and pleasure blinded my heart.

*8* And i became enamoured of and i slept with her, and transgressed the commandment of the Lord and the commandment of my fathers, and therefore i had to marry her because i slept with her though under the influence of her wine.

*9* And the Lord rewarded me according to the imagination of my heart, inasmuch as i had no joy in her children.

*10* And now, my children, i say to you, do not be drunk with wine; for wine turns the mind away from the truth, and inspires the passion of lust, and leads the eyes into error.

*11* For the spirit of fornication has wine as a minister to give pleasure to the mind; for these two also take away the mind of man.

*12* For if a man drinks wine to drunkenness, it disturbs the mind with filthy thoughts leading to fornication, and heats the body to carnal union; and if the occasion of the lust be present, he works the sin, and is not ashamed.

*13* Such is the inebriated man, my children; for he who is drunken reverences no man.

*14* For, look, it made me also to err, so that i was not ashamed of the multitude in the city, in that before the eyes of all i turned aside to Tamar, and i did a great sin, and i uncovered the covering of my sons' shame.

*15* After i had drunk wine i reverenced not the commandment of God, and i took a woman of Canaan to wife.

*16* For much discretion needs the man who drinks wine, my children; and herein is discretion in drinking wine, a man may drink so long as he preserves modesty.

*17* But if he goes beyond this limit the spirit of deceit attacks his mind, and it makes the drunkard to talk filthily, and to transgress and not to be ashamed, but even to glory in his shame, and to account himself honourable.

*18* He that commits fornication is not aware when he suffers loss, and is not ashamed when put to dishonour.

*19* For even though a man is a king and commits fornication, he is stripped of his kingship by becoming the slave of fornication, as i myself also suffered.

*20* For i gave my staff, that is, the stay of my tribe; and my girdle, that is, my power; and my diadem, that is, the glory of my kingdom.

*21* And indeed i repented of these things; wine and flesh i eat not until my old age, nor did i behold any joy.

*22* And the angel of God showed me that forever do women bear rule over king and beggar alike.

*23* And from the king they take away his glory, and from the valiant man they take away his might, and from the beggar they take away even that little which is the stay of his poverty. [See "Proverbs 31:3-4" in Bible]

*24* Observe, therefore, my children, the right limit in wine; for there are inside wine four evil spirits– one is that of lust, another is that of hot desire, and there is that of profligacy, and then that of filthy lucre.

*25* If ye drink wine in gladness, be you modest in the fear of God.

*26* For if in your gladness the fear of God departs, then drunkenness arises and shamelessness steals in.

*27* But if you would live soberly do not touch wine at all, lest you sin in words of outrage, and in fightings and slanders, and transgressions of the commandments of God, and you perish before your time.

*28* Moreover, wine reveals the mysteries of God and men, even as i also revealed the commandments of God and the mysteries of Jacob my father to the Canaanitish woman Bathshua, which God bade me not to reveal.

*29* And wine is a cause both of war and confusion.

Religion / Benefits Of The Anointing by Mogbonjubola55: 10:38pm On Apr 10
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.” - (Luke 4:18)

READ: 2 Kings 2:15-22

The anointing makes you a blessing to all kinds of people. In (2 Kings 4:1-7), Elisha was a blessing to a poor widow. You can put an end to someone’s poverty because you are anointed. Also, you can become a blessing, even to the rich and powerful. You can sit in your room and tell a rich fellow, “Go and wash,” as Elisha told Naaman, and if the fellow obeys, he will be healed. It is important to note, however, that if an anointed person blesses others solely for monetary gains, the problem of the rich will become the fellow’s problem as Naaman’s leprosy came upon Gehazi (2 Kings 5:20-27).

The anointing gives you the power to put smiles on the faces of people who would otherwise have been sorrowful. When i turned 80, i insisted that i wasn’t throwing a party. However, some General Overseers gathered in my office after the Holy Ghost Service that day. When they were asked to share testimonies, one of them, a medical doctor who is now a General Overseer, said two of his daughters became terribly sick. One was already gasping for breath when all of a sudden, he thought, “i have prayed, and nothing has happened, at least i know someone whose anointing is more than mine,” so he called me that night. When he told me what was happening, God asked me to tell him to do some things. When he started doing what i asked him to do, the other doctors that were with him started wondering what he was doing. He told them this wasn’t medicine, but an instruction that came from Redemption Camp. The children survived miraculously, and today, one of them is a doctor, and i think the other is an engineer. If you want to be able to turn sorrow away from families, pursue God’s anointing.

The anointing also gives you divine security. Our God is like a coin that has two sides, He is Love (1 John 4:cool, and He is also a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29). When He says touch not my anointed, He is saying, “Don’t touch fire.” In Africa, we have a saying that even when a dog is mad, it still recognises fire. No matter how crazy a man may be, he will never walk into a fire. When you are anointed, you become too dangerous for the devil to touch.

KEY POINT:
Seek the anointing of God.

Religion / Demystifying Poverty And What To Do by God2man2again(m): 3:48am On Apr 07
DEMYSTIFYING POVERTY AND WHAT TO DO

Beloved, poverty is evil and is very bad. One of the greatest tragedy plaguing black man and the entire human race is poverty. It is so disheartening to see our people traveling to foreign countries to work as housemaids, gardener, mortuary attendants, cleaner and all kinds of jobs to survive, it is even worst when academician and people of great intellectual capacity travel abroad to serve their juniors. These are the consequences of poverty. As i am writing this piece, many all kinds of dirty things including ritual just to get out of poverty.

The great grandfather or grandmother of all crimes is poverty. If you look into these crimes critically, you will discover that these crimes can be traced to poverty.

Proverbs 30:8-9"Remove far from me vanity and lies, give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me, Lest i be full , and deny thee and say, who is Lord? OR LEST i BE POOR, AND STEAL, and take the name of my God in vain"

Many are into crime not because they really wanted to do so but because they got stranded, they did not know what else to do to solve their financial problems.

However, if the Government can do something for the jobless as they do in some developed countries, they would not need to employ more armed police because crime would have gone down drastically.

When a man is in need, you put him in a state of being tempted to do anything evil. He is unstable, unbalanced,he
2. He is frightened, fearful and jittery. He can do anything, he can kill, he can commit suicide. He will just do anything to survive. this is what the ritualists do. They may be pricked in their conscience to stop but because of the pressing need they ignored the silent voice of conscience and continue to use human being like them for ritual just for cash. Where will it end them? Of course, they know where they are going. Hell fire.

Poverty can bring shame, reproach and disgrace to a person, family or nation.
Proverbs 14:20 " the poor is hated even if his own neighbor, but the rich man hath many friends"

Poverty can kill. See what is written in the Bible, Proverbs 19:15b " the of the poor is their poverty"

Poverty means: Mr. Nobody or Mr.Useless.

Let's see how poverty can be defined or explained.

The simplest definition of poverty is lack of money, this is just at the peripheral. If we really want to go deep or make it more meaningful, poverty is the absence of good virtue. When a man is devoid of good virtue like patience, honesty, kindness, humility and self control, then the man is extremely poor.
For example, patience a great virtue, you don't have patience, you are considered to be very poor. It is written in the scripture, Proverbs 21:5" The thought of the diligent tend only to plenteousness, but of everyone that is hasty only to want.
So, never be in hurry, one step at time. If you can be patient enough, you will have everything.

Furthermore, it has often bee
3.it has often been said that the poorest man is the man without vision. To be visionless is to be good for nothing.

Of course, poverty can be herditary. Nobody needs to tell you that there is problem when you discover that your great grandfather, grandfather and your father struggled till they died. this could be generational.
When the great grandfather had covenanted his children children to the next generation to poverty and struggling because of the sin he committed and was cursed. this is generational poverty.
It is necessary to dig deep into your foundations with fasting, weeping, prayer and ask why. Not only that you need to ask questions from a member of your family about what really happened. Then go for deliverance and counseling.

Poverty is dirty and full of rags. The smell of poverty is as the smell of death. You must develop a mindset on how to set it ablaze and destroy it completely.
Poverty must die.

Vocabularies of poverty:

Hardship, adversity, distress, aridity, abjection, bankruptcy, beggary, barrenness.

Emptiness,impotence, bleakness, desolateness.

More from Thesaurus: Poverty

What is poverty?

English dictionary meaning:

Poverty is the state of being poor.

Poverty is any deficiency of elements or resources that are needed or desired.
Poverty of soil
Poverty of blood
Poverty of the spirit.
4. The Bible gave us a perfect example of a poor man named Lazarus in
Like 16: 20-21" And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate full of sores. And dressing to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores"
this is poverty in the real sense of the word.

Life applications of poverty:

Poverty is when others are sending their children to school, you have no means of doing the same thing.

Poverty will make a man to commit suicide because his wife could no longer endure it.

Poverty will make a man carry heavy load until his becomes bald.

Acidic poverty is what will make a 60yrs old man to use small carriage to move goods for a 30yrs old lady.

Having enough without the business prowess is a tragedy. He is okay financially but poor mentally.

When you eat what you see and not what you like then there is poverty.

Poverty becomes a curse when you begin to fight your God sent helpers unnecessarily.

Poverty is to marry a deficit as husband or wife. The man is demonized with the spirit of poverty. After the marriage, every good things the wife had disappeared, cars, houses, landed property and so on, they began to beg for money 3 months after wedding.

Poverty is to feel to big to do small thing that will bring money.

Poverty is to spend all your night to sleep, no time to pray or read. It is an invitation to Poverty.
5. Poverty is to have more than enough children, 5 children, husband and wife living in one room apartment of face me and face you.

Poverty is to be known with only one cloth, tattered and dirty.

Poverty is to sleep in the street or under the bridge.

Money versus poverty

Having enough money without the business prowess is a tragedy. The person may be okay financially but poor mentally.

Money is not everything, money is limited when it comes to health issue but a good attitude and great mindset will assist in keeping the wealth.

Godly attitude is needed to overcome poverty

A man with a bad attitude will destroy his business. Humility, honesty, kindness, forgiveness must not be found wanting in life of a man. These virtues are more important than your chain of certificates.

Are there solutions to one of the most prevalent problem on earth?
Poverty?

i have to be honest with you. The solutions to poverty is highly complicated.

There are so many things to do because problems varies from person to person, place to place, community to community, town to town and village to village.

The first step to take is acknowledged that there is a problem and that you cannot save yourself. When the problem is highly complicated only God can save you.
First thing first, acknowledge that you have gone far away from God then humble yourself, go on your knees and be sorrowful for your wayward life, repent of any known sins and them surrender your life to Jesus Christ.
6. Now, the journey to destroy poverty begins

1. Matthew 6:33 " Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you"

Be kingdom addicted with undying love for the expansion of God's kingdom.
Matthew 22:37 " Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind"

Once you have the mindset of loving God with all your heart then it be easy for you give yourself or surrender everything to God.
Romans 12:1 " i beseech you therefore, brethren by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service"

2. Never be misled by some preachers that you don't need to pray for wealth that all you need to do is to give and that is all. No need to pray. Just give. this is a lie from the pit of hell.
Let's see Jabez in the Bible, Jabez prayed until he became and institution. this is Bible standard. Everything needs prayer. You cannot rule out prayer. Prayer is a necessity. It is the wealth of Poverty.
You need prayer to be blessed and also to keep the wealth.

What kind of prayer do you pray?
Prayer for self discovery. Who are you? Who am i? What am supposed to do? What is my purpose in life? this is very important because you may be doing the wrong thing now as i write. If you are supposed to be driver and you say you want to be a pastor. this is destiny diversion. Poverty number one.
7. Prayer to destroy unknown curses that might have been created by your great grandfather, grandfather and father. Great grandmother, grandmother and mother.
Psalm 11:3 if the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
No matter how well read you are. No matter your level of education, you may even have PHD, but if there is an unbroken curse of " you will not prosper" in your father's house or mother's house. You can never be free from poverty. You will have money today, tommorow, you are broke. You will never have more than enough to the extent that you give out to people.

Next, what do you pray for? You pray to destroy evil covenant.

Pray for divine helpers. God should send helpers of destiny to you and connect you to them permanently. God should separate you from unfriendly friends bringing poverty into your life, they could be your closest friends. You may not know, you need to pray that God should open your eyes to see these people.

Pray for divine favor. God's favor to be on you and your handiwork.

Pray for open heaven. Your personal heaven should tear for abundance.

Pray for uncommon wisdom. Pray creative ideas

Pray for money magnetizing power.

Get prayer books from the nearest MFM bookshop or MFM Church. Don't just pray useless prayers. Pray targeted prayers.
8. Bad investment of your money. Never be deceived by any business you have not fasted and pray about. Don't be tempted to jump into an online marketing business or Facebook business you know nothing about. It could be a trap. Always seek counsel from experience people and ask questions why the business is not known by everyone. Ask why they are hiding it from people. Ask from these business men how many houses they have built. Most importantly, pray and seek the face of God if you want invest huge amount of money on any business, besides, make sure there is market for what you are investing your money on.

9. Your company of friends and the people you communicate with everyday will determine your prosperity. If you move with the people that are empty headed, empty heart, empty brain then the life will be empty. People that cannot think properly. All they know is to dress half naked. No vision. No purpose in life. NFA meaning no future ambition.

10. Knowledge about how to manage money to bring huge profit is very important.

11. Confessing the word of God daily. Joshua 1:8 the book of the law msut depart out your mouth. What you say is what you see and what you see is what you get.

12. Pray for the anointing of the holy Spirit. The anointing of God attracts wealth into your hands.

13. Doing your business with so much perfection to the extent that people have no choice except to come to you because of the way do their work and the way you treat them. 9.everyday, it goes a long way to reduce crime and poverty do.

Individuals, corporate organizations, service providers should come out with a plan to help people and reduce poverty in the land.

The Church too has a big role to play. The Church has been helping people a lot but they need to be more specific about their way of helping people.
For example, instead of building project, money can be invested in people. Say #200,000 for one converted prostitute or new convert to start a business. this is how money can help in establishing soul in the Lord.

MTN, Airtel, Glo, Etisalat are called upon to be more specific about helping people out of Poverty. Empower one man per month and follow him up. this will ultimately reduce poverty.

Free distribution of books or free education by the Government to help the less privilege is another way.
The Government can also pay unemployed graduate or jobless people some money to keep them away from crime. Crime rate will reduce and police will have less job to do. The great-grandfather of crime is poverty.
Religion / Boko Haram Claim To Be Muslims But It Doesn't Make Every Muslim A Terrorist by Icceyfrosh12(m): 4:24pm On Apr 06
Adeboye speaking on the state of the country added that he had a feeling that the rate of inflation and increments under the Bola Tinubu's administration was no longer natural.

The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has stated the fact that the "leaders of Boko Haram are Muslims or claimed to be Muslims" does not mean that every Muslim is a terrorist.

Adeboye speaking on the state of the country added that he had a feeling that the rate of inflation and increments under the Bola Tinubu's administration was no longer natural.

The cleric stated this during his sermon and anointing service at the monthly Holy Ghost service at the RCCG headquarters in Mowe, Ogun State.

Pastor Adeboye also reminded his critics that the word of God made it clear that anyone God would use must be foolish and a nobody so that nobody would "get the glory."

Recall that Adeboye had been drawing criticism from several celebrities and on-air personalities over some of his declarations and comments.

The RCCG leader said, “If Paul, who wrote more than half of the New Testament, claimed to be less than the least of the saint, according to Ephesians 3:8, Pastor Adeboye is nothing.

“However, his God is everything. Listen to me carefully, Adeboye is one stupid boy and i would prove it to you before i close, But his God is wiser than the wisest.

“Adeboye is weak, he eats pounded yam and goes to the toilet. But his God is stronger than the strongest. Adeboye is nothing but his God is the All-sufficient God.

“So there is nothing spectacular. There is no big deal if you mock Pastor Adeboye. He deserves to be mocked.

“The word of God made it abundantly clear. Anyone that God will use must be weak, foolish, and a nobody, so that only God will take the glory. So you can mock Adeboye, but you must not mock his God.

“Why? Because Adeboye is nothing, there is nothing he can do to you. But his God is a Consuming fire.”

Going further, the reverred cleric asked his members series of questions.

i want to ask you some questions. The fact that the leaders of Boko Haram are Muslims or claimed to be Muslims, does that mean every Muslim is a terrorist?

“Because one Islamic cleric said they should kill our First Lady, does that mean every Imam is a murderer.

“There was this guy called HUSSPUPPY, the fellow who was the original 419 man that was arrested in Dubai. He happens to be a Nigerian, does that mean every Nigerian man is a 419?

“If a pastor and his wife do something insensitive somewhere, does that mean every pastor everywhere is insensitive?

“Then what about this pastor somewhere in Ireland. They said he committed all manners of atrocities. How will you explain that?

“Number one, the way they reported it in Nigeria is different from the way is reported where it happen.

Religion / I’m Nothing, But Don’t Mock My God,’ Adeboye Cautions Critics by Omooba77: 12:18pm On Apr 06
The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has warned those who criticise and mock him to thread with caution. The cleric said those who do such things end badly.

Pastor Adeboye said even though he is nothing and weak, those mocking him and the mission should know that his God is a consuming fire.

He reminded his critics that the word of God made it clear that anyone God will use must be foolish, must be weak, be a nobody so that nobody will get the glory.

Recall that Adeboye had been drawing criticism from several celebrities and on-air personalities over some of his declarations and comments.

Adeboye’s sermon
Adeboye made the comments during his sermon and annointing service at the monthly Holy Ghost service. It was held on the theme: “Shielded by fire” at The Redemption City of God.

In his words: “If Paul, who wrote more than half of the New Testament, claimed to be less than the least of the saint, according to Ephesians 3:8, Pastor Adeboye is nothing.

Why? Because Adeboye is nothing, there is nothing he can do to you. But his God is a Consuming fire."

Going further, he revered cleric asked his members series of questions.

i want to ask you some questions. The fact that the leaders of Boko Haram are Muslims or claimed to be Muslims, does that mean every Muslim is a terrorist?

“Because one Islamic cleric said they should kill our first lady, does that mean every Imman is a murderer.

Pastor in Ireland
“Then what about this pastor somewhere in Ireland. They said he committed all manners of atrocities. How will you explain that?

“Number one, the way they reported it in Nigeria is different from the way is reported where it happen.

“Over there they said “a former pastor”. Meaning he used to be. But put that one aside.

“They didn’t tell you the whole story, they did not tell you that they did not catch the boy. But he reported himself and why did he report himself, he heard a sermon on restitution and decided it is better to suffer shame while here on earth than to go to hell.

“And where did he hear that sermon, in the Redeemed Christian Church of God. We are among the few churches left in the world that ever talk about restitution.”

i am not Justifying the unjustifiable’
While noting that the pastor might have backslided when he committed the crime, he said: “Do you know the Bible says he who thinks he stands should take heed, lest he falls?

“Even you standing today be careful. i pray you will never fall.”

“You can say ‘but he was ordained as a pastor’. But have you heard about backsliding? Once hot for the Lord and along the line became cold. The Bible even said ‘he that thinketh that he stand…’.

i don’t want to give the impression that i am justifying the unjustifiable. The Lord prayed all night and chose 12 disciples. One of them turned out to be Judas Iscariot. One failure out of 12.

“If you consider the number of pastors in RCCG in Nigeria, alone. Don’t let me tell you the number. But let me tell you mathematically. The number of pastors in Nigeria alone today is more than 200 thousand.

“If we find one here, one there over there, well our Lord Jesus Christ the one we are following chose 12 but one was the devil.”

Nigeria’s Economy
Pastor Adeboye lamented the increase in the pump price of fuel and the hike in the electricity tariff.

He added that what is happening in Nigeria is not ordinary. Adeboye said when he saw the way things were going he had to quickly call on some prayer warriors to intercede for the country.

He said: “If i am not such a ‘stupid’ boy i would have asked God how worse things would get before they get better.

i did not ask. So, you see how stupid a boy i am. All of a sudden we saw the Naira going down. i never knew the Naira would go so bad.

i know nations who got independence at the same time as Nigeria whose money is like 10,000 to a Pound.”

However, he said he called for more prayers for the country and those in place of authorities. He urged Nigerians not to be tired of praying for the country.

“As i was coming out of the prayer room, i heard the government has increased the price of fuel and electricity tarrif had increased.

“If the price of fuel increases, it means the cost of transporting the food to the market will increase. It means the food will increase in price.

i had this feeling that the rate this is happening is no longer natural.

“And then i heard a prophet had prophesied that things would only get better towards the end of 2025.”

Romance / Princes Of Persia: Cock-Blockers by jezuzboi(m): 12:27pm On Apr 03
"Someone" Tweeted:
Always keep receipts. People are crazy.

"Whoever" Replied:
Like seriously, because, it is more rational to be paranoid than careless in this crazy world. If someone's behavior seems suspicious, it probably is...which is where keeping receipts really comes in handy, as crazy people, in their craziness, could plunge one into crazy situations & make one come off as equally crazy to individuals who have no prior knowledge of the ones plunged into crazy situations by the crazy ones. That's why folks ought not to get involved in stuff they aren't sure about...nor start things they ain't sure to hold up from start to finish. The human race ought to be laden with persons who look for reasons for everything...persons who pull things apart & figure out how they work instead of simply accepting them as they are...as well as persons who'd rather have the truth than convenient lies because, asking & hoping for things is a way to lose something one never even had. But thanks to receipts, a person's dealings with other persons are clearly defined, for, the more clearly one recognizes who one does not want to be, the clearer one's sense of identity & purpose will be. Therefore, it beholds on persons to simply be prudent & cautious.

Being prudent & cautious might require taking into consideration the existence of ignoble persons who hide behind a façade of vague abstractions & impartiality to disguise their fear of conflict behind a front of false warmth while trying to push others off course or infect others with the vagueness that inflicts them...all the while advancing their own interests at the expense of others, leaving others so aggrieved & in total loss as to how to remediate prevailing inequities. Airing their bitter grievance, such folks, having been so cheated, deprived, pushed off course, & infected with the vagueness that inflicts those ignoble persons who hide behind a façade of vague abstractions & impartiality to disguise their fear of conflict, had thus angrily addressed their subduers:

"that’s why you could stand it as long as we weren't in the picture? Then the moment we came into the picture, you couldn't stand it anymore? You can't stand being pains in our asses? For as long as it takes? Not even half shorter than you stood it before we came into the picture when you couldn't stand it anymore? And you think we will give you the satisfaction of being pains in our asses now until you have your way with us? By turning one-night-stands into movie-nights on the internet & casual hookups into miserably complicated half-relationships? We don’t do anything we are not going to do 100%...neither do we start anything we can’t finish. Guys who don’t want us to get to 100% but to stop halfway need to know this. We carry our own pens at all times because if we are going to write anything, it might as well look good. You’ve seen us...that even when we’re shelving, we sometimes check the last pages, constantly looking for all the information, trying to make the absolute best decisions. Shouldn't that be applaudable? But you want us making bad decisions...like turning to sex competitions to deploy our grievance & secure sex trophies. For what? Gosh!"

"After all, when sex was solving the problem, you all had sex & wouldn't let us have sex so you can solve your problems & burden us with problems. To shut us out of sex, you kept pointing to us that we’re online with the prying eyes of the public looking to watch folks have sex...while those same folks were watching you have not just sex but same-sex sex! Now that it seems like there is something else that's to solve what remains of the problem, you're requiring us to do that shitty thing? We likewise put it to you that we’re still online & the prying eyes of the public are still watching to see things. Tit for tat! The annoying part is the something else that's to solve what remains of the problem. Jerking off? You extend that unconventional enterprise beyond your self-indulging single-sex community to us? Hell hath no fury like women scorned. Yet you turn good-natured ladies into angry women & wouldn't beware? We'll just fix things with you & let you all be!"

Talking about receipts, there you go...like, there you actually really go...& there's more. You see, straight men love bangs...& they make women approachable. But there are unhealthy lots who, not claiming to be healthy, opt to...& insist on enthroning same-sex affairs at the expense of straight persons who'd rather have to do with straight relationships & marriage between both genders just because they want to bully those straight folks into submission & trivialize straight affairs while exalting same-sex affairs. It's a free world after all, & the world's people are at liberty to indulge their cravings unrestrictedly in accordance with their varying appetites & inclinations. But it gets awkward when certain groups tend to pressurize other groups in subscribing to their modus operandi, imposing their indulgences on those groups & insisting they warm up to it mandatorily. So, in a world that revolts against same-sex affairs, it has somehow turned out that, in some human ecologies, same-sex practitioners tend to want to make certain that only a manner of sexuality that pairs men to men & women to women thrives while the natural order that pairs men to women suffers abolishment because they are black devilish kings & queens like Herod, who, not wanting their inequities exposed by the light of newborn Messiahs who do not necessarily eye their thrones, make attempts at frustrating the efforts of straight men & women to consolidate straight affairs in a bid to do away with the sexual activity of conceiving & bearing offspring as it ought to be?

People are indeed crazy, & it's such craziness that warrants keeping of receipts. But then, by conventional standards, keeping of receipts is more or less a formal endeavor that serves as evidence of one undertaking or the other. Hence, should a person get wily & attempt to pull some con, kept receipts are likely to vindicate bamboozled fellows by indicting swindlers who may have exploited the confidence of those fellows to bamboozle them. But that's mostly on official matters. It becomes a different ballgame when the matter is unofficial, hence, no occasion for receipts. Like, when straight folks find themselves in crazy human ecologies where it is ensured that only a manner of sexuality that pairs men to men & women to women thrives while the natural order that pairs men to women suffers abolishment, how does one make & keep receipts that would indict same-sex personalities who exploit one's confidence to con one out of straight affairs in order to shut procreation out because they're black devilish kings & queens like Herod, who, not wanting their inequities exposed by the light of newborn Messiahs who do not necessarily eye their thrones, make attempts at frustrating the efforts of straight men & women to consolidate straight affairs?

The likes of folks earlier mentioned, who, cheated on, deprived of straight affairs, pushed off course, & infected with the vagueness that inflicts ignoble persons who hide behind a façade of vague abstractions & impartiality to disguise their fear of conflict, had gotten into a dilemma as per how to make & keep receipts that would indict same-sex personalities who frustrate the efforts of straight persons to consolidate straight affairs in order to rule out the sexual activity of conceiving & bearing offspring. It was put forward to them that, if those same-sex personalities would not let them consolidate straight affairs in a world that's enriched by straight affairs, they were to make the world to become privy to the line of events that has made & still seeks to make for the world's impoverishment. There were urged to call-out those lots & make their call-out to be to those lots like punches to the gut. But in so doing, they were cautioned to not let themselves be swayed by emotions, as emotions serve no purpose. So they ought not entertain mental images that'd make their imaginations run wild, as, in addition to stirring emotions, images are an extremely effective shortcut that bypasses the head & aims straight for man's heart...in which case they'd overwhelm man's eyes which man deploys to take notice of atrocities like that of same-sex fellows.

That urge was instructive because, once such mental images are entertained & imaginations run wild, one becomes subject to conflicting emotions, which is exactly what con artists like...since the person caught up in such emotions is so easily bamboozled. As an admonition, they were told to pay less attention to immaterial voices & nudges while putting their minds on material consciousness & tangible interactions, because, just as it is hard to bamboozle a person who is happy, it is equally hard to bamboozle a person who has no imagination. The same-sex fellows, in their bid to shut straight persons out of straight affairs, had tried to induce unearthly mental images of same-sex sexual activities to lure straight persons into same-sex sexual activities while killing their interest in straight affairs. But same-sex sexual activities, incapable of providing the pleasure that straight persons need, saw the straight persons staying closed to the same-sex fellows, & it is of a fact that there is nothing an aggressor gains from trying to seduce a target who is closed to him or her because—such targets cannot provide the pleasure & chase that their aggressors need.

The same-sex fellows & the straight individuals had become opposed to each other on all sides. But, while the straight individuals paid no attention to the endeavors of the same-sex fellows, the same-sex fellows, power drunk & obsessed with dominance, wouldn't live & let the straight fellows live. Shameless & not claiming to be healthy, they took to the animalistic tendency of striving to oust the straight fellows from the demography that domiciliated them while having the whole territory to themselves...a sort of Sodom & Gomorrah. The straight fellows, knowing that the reverse ought to be the case, considered them crazy lots with antisocial personality disorder who certainly needed their mental condition looked into. The matter turned out being the receipts the straight fellows needed to hold those lots to ransom, as, having heeded the counsel to make the world to become privy to the line of events of the same-sex personalities that has made & still seeks to make for the world's impoverishment, had stirred the interest of many through the narrative of their exposé. But it wasn't that much of an easy catch, as the same-sex personalities turned out to be conglomerate peoples of cognitive universes who specialize in cock-blocking...Princes of Persia who do nothing but deploy witchy means to ensure that intimacy-seeking cocks remained blocked.

They seemed unassailable until their indulgences were made public by straight fellows, as & multitudes of counsellors, favoring straight affairs, took to dishing out counsels that would make for a total, absolute, abolishment of same-sex endeavors in that demography while making for a thriving of the natural order that pairs men to women in straight unions. Series of counsels by multitudes of counselors had the same-sex fellows going berserk. More like an uproar, the counsels were to them like wild chants of mad masses: echoes of dissatisfaction from intimacy-deprived fire-breathing straight individuals who now wanted to consolidate straight affairs or go bananas. After all, how much worse could the cock-blocking get? Cock-blockers had nothing on them anymore...just as the Prince of the kingdom of Persia had nothing on the man, Daniel, who, having humbled himself before his God & set his heart to understand a certain vision he had, was heard by God the moment he did so, & the answer he sought was immediately sent to him via the agency of an angel. Though the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood that angel for twenty-one days, Michael the archangel came to the saving & the Prince of Persia was ousted, hence the other angel forging ahead to relay the answer to the vision that Daniel had humbled himself before his God & set his heart to understand.

Even so, the cock-blocking same-sex personalities, having assumed the office of the Prince of Persia in the lives of straight individuals, had deployed witchy means to keep straight women from forging intimate bonds with straight men in straight affairs...rendering them so intimacy-deprived while blocking their cocks...& vaginas, because, even intimacy-deprived straight women felt the same way...except for ignoble straight persons who, neither favoring intimacy nor same-sex activities, infamously took to philandering to have their libidos satiated. The noble straight fellows whose resentment for the tyrannizing same-sex personalities was strong enough to justify a retaliation, were thus spurred by multitudes of counselors to make receipts that would indict those lots:

"They know you're conquerors! But they can't stand it! So they sought to first hide in the shadow & orchestrate your failure abstractly before coming out to dare you to stupid witchy contests that would deprive you of your rights to straight affairs if you lose...a loss they'd already have orchestrated abstractly! But you won! If you kept winning, rest assured there wasn't going to be real time contests! If you lost in order for there to be real time contests, to what end would that have been? They're now trying so hard to make it look like they knew what they were doing! Meanwhile they didn't...only just getting to figure things out. So you make deliberate efforts at gathering lovey-dovey facts to relay most skillfully & artfully for straight audiences to relish & not just be entertained but also enlightened, & same-sex Princes of Persia block those works? Which works are they granting access? Let them continue! Never leave any discussion with whoever without gathering facts from the conversation for playwriting! They’ve brought you to this point where they can't manipulate you abstractly anymore. Meanwhile, you've got your talents to keep shining with—long after trashing them all...including the very shitty number one masters who swore that, except they have you in their claws, no one else will. You'll uncover their identities eventually."

"When you do, do what you do: wash their dirty linens in public as well...if you must! Which only means one thing: they're the ones responsible for the dirty linens of fellow straight men & women you've been ignorantly washing in public all the while. As what goes around—comes around, & as what's good for the goose is also good for the gander, theirs must also be washed! No hiding! Casting galore! Money answers all things. this money that answers all things is accessible to all, isn’t it? What's with those who bother others over answers when money is within their reach? Is it that they can’t make money answer to them? So wash their dirty linens in public by writing them out as plays. To scheme their way out of your blacklist, they'll make subtle attempts at vindicating themselves by performing the opposite of the acts they've been discovered to be about...in other to put the public in doubts as to what they hold as truth based on those discoveries. Like, now that they've been found out to be the ugly monsters trying to arrange straight affairs that indulge same-sex practices for you after failing to rope you into same-sex affairs, they'll see how to let go off you & let you have your desired not-arranged straight affair...while disassociating themselves from gay endeavors. So castigate their sins! When you do so, they'll feign righteousness. That way, you detach from them & do your thing your own way! Before you know it, the human ecology wherein you find yourselves would have been so ridded of same-sex sexual practices...inevitably."

Talking about keeping receipts due to crazy lots who constitute the human race, that's right about it, yeah? A kind of receipt that gets the crazed to disassociate from craziness & identify with saneness. Now, as it is more rational to be paranoid than careless, this tends to be a receipt that, paranoically identifying with it, it seems of the essence to heed the counsel of multitudes of straight-affair-favouring counselors to make public the lines of events that impoverish the world...hence the making public of this embarrassing narrative because, truly...people are indeed crazy.
