PoliticsLies! Ipob Did Not ‘beat’ Minister Of Transportation Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi by 007truthbetold(op): 2:54pm On Dec 07, 2019
LIES! IPOB DID NOT ‘BEAT’ MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION CHIBUIKE ROTIMI AMAECHI

We read with utter disgust and disdain the sickening propagandist lies credited to one Emma Powerful, who claims to be the Spokesman of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), that IPOB members in Madrid, Spain “beat” (physically assaulted) the Minister of Transportation Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. That is not true.

We must clarify that in the incident of the attack yesterday on the Minister in Madrid, where Amaechi was part of the official Nigerian government delegation to the United Nations (UN) climate change conference (COP25), IPOB members did not “beat”, physically assault or cause any bodily harm to the honourable Minister.

As they charged towards and at the minister during the attack, it was apparent that their plan was to “beat” (quoting Emma Powerful) him, hurt him, cause bodily harm or even do worse! But their violent evil plot failed woefully due to the dexterity of Amaechi to resist them, protect and defend himself, and the prompt intervention of the Spanish police who repelled the motley crowd of misguided attackers. Even the video circulated online by the attackers confirmed this much. Everyone could clearly hear one of them shouting, “we didn’t get him…” expressing his frustrations of their inability to get and “beat” the Minister.

We must commend the Spanish police in Madrid for their timely intervention to protect Amaechi and their investigation of the attack and attempt on the life of the honourable minister in Spanish territory.

The honourable minister of Transportation is immensely grateful to all for the outpour of love, support and prayers. He acknowledges God’s hand in the foiling of the attack and reassures all and sundry that he’s well, unhurt and okay; and will continue to dedicate himself in service to God, Nigeria and humanity.

PoliticsWe Are Training Nigerians In China To Maintain The Rail Facilities - Amaechi by 007truthbetold(op): 10:26pm On Oct 18, 2019
"On the issue of maintenance & sustainability of the new trains, I can assure you that we are taking it seriously and we've made plans for that. One of the many things we are doing is that we have sent Nigerians to China for training and to understudy the Chinese manufacturers.
After their training in China, the plan is to have these Nigerians run and maintain the trains and our rail lines. I met some of them in China on Wednesday and they are very eager to come back home to manage and ensure sustainability of the new facilities & trains. We are building #NextLevel human capacity." - Amaechi

PoliticsWike’s Security Pull Guns On Amaechi, Vandalize His Car by 007truthbetold(op): 9:51pm On Nov 11, 2017
In a blatant show of naked raw power, Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi this afternoon narrowly escaped being shot by security men attached to the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike. His car wasn’t that lucky though. The car was vandalized with a broken side mirror.

The incident occurred in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, along Trans-Amadi road, Nwaja axis. The Minister had arrived Port Harcourt this afternoon.

Accompanied by cars of many of his supporters, the Minister’s black jeep was intercepted and blocked at the junction by the security Motorcycle Outrider attached to Wike after two cars had passed through. One of the two cars had security men assigned to protect the minister in Port Harcourt. Suddenly, gun-totting security men attached to Wike’s convoy, surrounded the Minister’s car, threatening to shoot him. They hit the car, tried to smash the windscreens, back and side windows and broke a side mirror. All through this attack, Amaechi remained calm, inside the fortified Jeep. While the attacked occurred, Wike remained inside his vehicle.

The Minister eventually passed through after the intervention of the security team on ground to protect him in Port Harcourt. However, when Governor Wike got to the point where the incident occurred after Amaechi’s vehicle had gone by, his security men blocked the road again, dragged out from a vehicle and thoroughly beat up a police man attached to protect Amaechi in Port Harcourt. The Policeman’s riffle was also taken from him.

Wike came out of his car, and with his security team was going from one vehicle to another, of Amaechi supporters, charging at them, harassing and abusing them. Wike’s security men were heard loudly insulting Amaechi and called him all sorts of derogative names.

This is a crass show of high handedness, arbitrary behaviour and abuse of public office by a State governor who has no care for the safety of Rivers people.

PoliticsWike’s A Looter, Lied Against Amaechi’s Wife – Ex-rivers Commissioners, Chairmen by 007truthbetold(op): 1:47pm On Jun 22, 2017
Former Rivers commissioners and local government council chairmen have described as false the statement by the current Governor of the state, Nyesom Wike who had alleged that Dame Judith Amaechi, the wife of the Minister of Transport and former Governor of Rivers state, Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi collected, on monthly bases, between two and three million naira from them while her husband was still the state governor.

The ex-Rivers executives who asked Governor Wike to tender an unreserved apology to the wife of Amaechi also said, rather, Wike was the one who coerced and extorted millions of naira from them with a threat of stiff penalty or job loss if anyone failed to comply with his directive because he (Wike) was the Chief of Staff to the then Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

A statement cosigned by Ojukaye Flag Amachree, the former Chairman Asari-Toru LGA and Fred Mbombo-Igwe, the former Commissioner of Sports for all former Local Council Chairmen as well as for all former Commissioners during the Amaechi administration in Rivers State, respectively, said that Governor Wike is bereft of ideas and lacks respect for his own wife hence, wants to drag the name of the wife of the minister to the mud.

The group who equally said that Wike is a very corrupt man and a looter, said that was the reason why the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, fought him then.

The statement read thus:

“The attention of former Chairmen of Local Government Councils and Commissioners in Rivers State during the administration of former Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi have been drawn to a recent media interview granted by current governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, where Wike falsely accused Dame Judith Amaechi, the wife of our boss of extorting and collecting monthly, between Two and Three Million Naira from Commissioners and Local Government Council chairmen respectively, while her husband was the State governor.

“Realizing the magnitude and gravity of this allegation, the Council Chairmen and Commissioners deem it necessary to make this public clarification in the interest of our teeming supporters and Rivers people.

“1.Nyesom Wike, since his assumption to office, appears to have a major agendum, which is to tarnish the sterling reputation of former Governor Amaechi, his erstwhile benefactor. He is bereft of ideas and unprepared for the task of governing a heterogeneous state like Rivers.

“2.Wike, while serving as the Chief of Staff to Governor Amaechi, interfaced regularly with Council Chairmen. With this rare privilege and his avarice plus his corrupt tendencies, he elected to commit a lot of fraudulent and sharp practices including massive looting and various degree of financial extortion on the council chairmen and commissioners who felt hapless due to his perceived closeness to the governor as the chief of staff.

“3.On several occasions, Wike, hiding under the subterfuge of his office as intermediary between the then governor and other elected or appointed public officials, made financial demands and extorted money from council chairmen including arm twisting them to award contracts to him.

“4.It is on record that several LGA projects then, including the new secretariat of Port Harcourt City Council and Etche Council, were done by Wike. Council chairmen and State officials were forced to contribute several millions of naira to Wike under the pretext of fighting his legal battle with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) when he was arrested and tried for corruption. For the most flimsy excuses, Wike placed hefty levies on council chairmen. Failure to pay was usually met with stiff sanctions.

“5.Governor Wike is indeed morally bankrupt and cannot point accusing fingers at the wife of former governor Amaechi. In fact, the then chief of staff to Amaechi gave stern directives to council chairmen never to support the activities of the wife of the governor.

“6.We want to state that no Council Chairman either individually or as a group, or State Commissioners were told, coerced, intimidated or persuaded to pay any money to the wife of the former Governor. And no money was given to her.

“7.Gov. Wike lacks moral rectitude. He is bereft of ideas and has no respect for his wife, hence this shameful attempt to drag the name and reputation of the wife of his former boss into disrepute.

“8.Governor Wike is too economical with the truth and is in fact a pathological liar who should be ignored. His allegation is baseless, untrue and a figment of his warped imagination.

“9.Former Council Chairmen and Commissioners who served under the administration of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, by this statement, therefore, warn Governor Wike against this disgraceful and disgusting mischief against the wife of Amaechi and urge him to tender an unreserved apology to the wife of the former governor immediately or be ready to face the consequences of his stupidity,” the statement concluded.

PoliticsAmaechi Rejects Governor Wike's Award, Says "It's Poisoned Chalice" by 007truthbetold(op): 4:34pm On May 26, 2017
AMAECHI: WIKE’S AWARD IS POISONED CHALICE, I REJECT IT
……Tell the world your $43m Ikoyi tale is a Wicked lie.

In the past couple of days, Minister of Transportation and immediate past governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has been inundated with calls and enquiries from journalists about a purported award/honour to him from Nyesom Wike, the current governor of Rivers State.

The minister was shown a publication of the Rivers State government indicating his name as one of many others to be given awards by Nyesom Wike. But as at today, Amaechi has not received any communication from Nyesom Wike and/or Rivers State government in this respect.

Be that as it may, we want to state categorically that whatever Wike claims to be giving to Amaechi is a poisoned chalice that has been unequivocally rejected by the minister.

Firstly, the purported award itself is a contradiction of monumental proportions, a contradiction that can only come from a warped and perverted mind. From day one as governor, Wike has made it his sole, one-point agenda to attack, abuse, insult and falsely denigrate Amaechi, his immediate predecessor and erstwhile benefactor. Since he became governor, Wike spends most of his time making reckless, deeply irresponsible malicious, false allegations against Amaechi, as he attempts, albeit fruitlessly, to malign and destroy the outstandingly superb performance and legacy of Amaechi in Rivers State. So, what is the bases or criteria for Wike to give an award/honour to a man he (Wike) has rashly attacked and called all sorts of unprintable names in the past two years? For Wike to do a 360 and give an award to a predecessor, he (Wike) has consistently but misleadingly and deceitfully called Satan, Judas, non-performer, thief and only this week a sponsor of cultists, shows evidently that Wike suffers from a grave but rare form of psychosomatic malady.

Secondly, what will Amaechi tell Rivers People when he goes to collect an award from that man-child who sits in Government House that is directly or indirectly responsible for the present deplorable state of sufferings, economic and infrastructural decay, violence, crime, insecurity, kidnappings and killings in Rivers State. Amaechi will not accept any award from a petty lowlife conman, who rode to power on the blood of Rivers people.

Thirdly, the office of governor of any state is a prestigious, very dignified office and the occupant of that office who holds it in trust for his people is expected to act, talk and behave responsibly and decorously. When the governor talks, he should talk with facts and must be able to prove his claims. Most unfortunately for Rivers State, Wike possess non of these qualities. Wike is everything a governor should not be, with virtually no redeeming qualities. Amaechi will not accept any award from this kind of lying, reckless, irresponsible and brutal character that has become the laughing stock of the nation.

Finally, We will not relent to remind Wike and insist that he must go to court, like he vowed, to prove his frivolous claims that the over $43million Ikoyi money and luxury apartment (found by EFCC), belongs to Amaechi and were stolen from Rivers State by Amaechi; or be ready to face the wrath of the law at the appropriate time; the wrath of the people and ultimately the wrath of God, which no constitutional immunity can protect him from. The only other alternative is for him to publicly apologize and tell us that he wickedly and maliciously lied when he had that disgraceful, middle of the night press conference to push the false narrative that Amaechi owns the money and apartment.

Before It Is Too Late: My Second Epistle To Bitter Wendell Smilin aka Reno Omokri

By David Iyofor

My Dear Wendell Smilin aka Reno Omokri,

If you are astonished that I am writing you a second letter so soon, barely 24 hours after I lovingly admonished you in my first epistle to you, kindly pardon me. I do not mean to belabour you with this letter (its not like you have anything else to do with your life, anyway). Your response early Tuesday morning to my first letter was so mortifying. It’s only pertinent I write you a second one. Again, I crave your indulgence and I would try not to take too much of your time.

Before I delve into the issues you raised, actually you didn’t raise any, all you did in that utterly disgusting piece you wrote was to attack, abuse, insult and call Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi all sorts of denigrating names. And this is the crux of my worry for you, brother Wendell Smilin.

I am deeply troubled by your state of mind. You were intensely bitter and obsessed with infinite sadness. Your words were ominously dark, your thoughts deviously vengeful, replete with so much bile, unbelievable and unbridled anger as you displayed a debilitating self-destructive hate. I am afraid you may have completely lost it.

Whoever spews that kind of garbage you wrote truly and urgently needs help, psychiatric and perhaps spiritual help. It’s far more worrisome and urgent when that person is a duplicitous character with multiple identities, who boldly puts “pastor”, like a moniker in front of one of his multiple names. That piece was a clarion urgent call for help by Wendell Smilin aka Reno Omokri.

I took you on, exposed your lies, fake news and multiple fake personalities, but you left the issues and went after Amaechi who has always completely ignored your endless hateful and vengeful attacks on him.Yours is a classical case of been beaten by Mr. A but you left Mr. A to go after Mr. B who has always ignored you. I know you crave a fight with Rotimi Amaechi, for him to trade words with you; sorry to burst your bubble-that will never happen.

You avoided the issues I raised in my first letter and refused to respond to the questions I asked, but rather took the highway of the mundane and the ridiculous.

You wrote two paragraphs, yes two paragraphs on the clothes Amaechi wears as if Amaechi’s fashion style will answer the question of whether the then CBN (Central Bank of Nigeria) governor, the same Sanusi Lamido Sanusi that you faked documents to demonize, wrote a letter to your boss and idol, that $49 billion cannot be accounted for and so was missing from NNPC account and not paid to the federation account? Come on! If you really think that Nigerians care more about how ill-fitting or well-fitting Amaechi’s clothes are, than their missing billions of dollars, then your problems are far more profound than I had ever imagined.

Like a buffoon, overly excited new zookeeper, you childishly and unintelligibly wrote about lions, monkeys, lizards and alligators but no sane person could fathom how that answers the question of why you created a fake document and circulated fake news that sought to portray our former Central Bank Governor, now Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as a sponsor of terrorism; shamelessly and callously using the name of your brother-In-law’s innocent young son, Wendell Simlin to demonize Sanusi? Brother Wendell, was it because Sanusi had the guts and courage to write the letter of the missing $49 billion to your god and idol?

You gleefully wrote about Amaechi’s supposed potbelly and eating habits, but how does that answer the question of whether Amaechi lied when he said your god and idol did not save money in spite of the huge savings he inherited from previous administrations and was surreptitiously spending alone the money meant for Federal, States and Local Government Councils?

Was Amaechi lying when he said your principal’s administration refused to call NEC (National Economic Council) meetings for about two years, in contravention of the constitution, so that the central administration you were part of, can covertly continue to spend unilaterally, the money meant for the three tiers of government; and that was why State Governors took the Federal Government to court to share the proceeds from the Excess Crude Account (ECA)?

My dear Reno, regularly billions of our money in naira and other currencies are been recovered from operatives of your principal’s past administration; yet you want us to believe that Sanusi was wrong when he wrote that billions of Nigeria’s money was missing. You must really think we are all fools and daft.

You went on to say a whole lot of balderdash that were neither coherent nor made any sense. You blabbed continuously, throwing up and joining diverse and different items that are entirely unrelated. Severally, you presented alternative facts as facts and wrote fake news as news. Significantly, all these were done in a very incoherent and disjointed manner, which tells a lot about the state of your mind. I do not intend to dignify baloney and contemptible behaviour by responding to them.

There is a saying in my village, when translated, literally means one do not wait for his brother to remove clothes and run stark naked in the market before you acknowledge that he is going mad when the signs are all obvious. That incoherent tirade against Rotimi Amaechi by Wendell Smilin aka Reno Omokri is an obvious cry for help. Family, friends and well-wishers (if you still have any) urgently need to rescue you from this self-destructive voyage of hate, bitterness, anger and misplaced vengeance against RotimiAmaechi, before it is too late.

A Letter To Wendell Simlin aka Reno Omokri On Your Petty Vituperations Against Rotimi Amaechi

By David Iyofor

My dear Wendell aka Reno,

I am not sure how to address you, whether to call you Reno Omokri or Wendell Smilin. This in itself is a fundamental problem. Your multiple identities send a profound message about your character and duplicitous personality.

For the benefit of those who may not remember, I crave your indulgence to remind them that Wendell Smilin is one of your multiple names, the fake name(like the fake opinion articles, replete with fake news you write), you used to create a fake document that sought to portray our former Central Bank Governor, now Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as a sponsor of terrorism in 2014 when you worked as the lead social media attack dog for former President Goodluck Jonathan. Your role was simple: disparage and demonized anyone who attempts to disagree with, and criticize, most times constructively, your principal. I have no qualms with how you decide to put food on your table. However, I quiver whenever I recall that you used and faked the name of your brother-In-law’s innocent young son, Wendell Simlin to demonize Emir Sanusi. Who does that? What kind of a human being are you? You’re at liberty to sell your conscience, soul and even your entire being (both physical and spiritual), for a mess of porridge; but must you drag the name of your innocent young relative into your mess?

Before I dig into your niggling obfuscating article- Time to question the pot bellied Amaechi’s sanity- on Rotimi Amaechi, Nigeria’s Minister of Transportation (by the way, one of our finest administrators), again, indulge me to make a confession. I sometimes sympathize with you, especially during the early days after you and your principal were unceremoniously and shockingly (to you) voted out of Aso Rock Villa; no thanks to Rotimi Amaechi and other gallant democrats. I imagined your abysmal pain, your colossal loss, and the awful, dreadful end to your Aso Rock meal ticket; and tried to situate your profound angst, uncontrollable anger and intense hatred for Rotimi Amaechi because of the key role he played (which was noble) in dislodging your principal, which inadvertently took away your source of livelihood. Honestly, I tried to understand how you felt and that made it less difficult to ignore your early meaningless and nonsensical vituperations against Amaechi. But for how long will you stay angry and mad at Amaechi for playing a key role in the removal of your boss? As a pastor (that is one prefix in front of one of your names I can’t seem to wrap my head around), you ought to know that the Bible tells Christians not to hold a grudge or stay angry. In your case it’s been such a long time-almost two years after your principal lost the Presidential election.

My dear Wendell Simlin aka Reno Omokri, your recent tirade, like the previous ones targeted at Rotimi Amaechi clearly signposts a dark vengeful heart. You called Amaechi a ‘confirmed liar’ and questioned his sanity; while the reality is that you are the one who had consistently lied and is still lying to Nigerians, faking documents and faking news to deceive Nigerians.

Tell me where, when and how Amaechi lied? Did Amaechi lie when he said recently in the interview with some national newspapers that the then CBN(Central Bank of Nigeria) governor, the same Sanusi Lamido Sanusi that you faked documents to demonized, wrote a letter to your principal our then President, that $49 billion cannot be accounted for and so was missing from NNPC account and not paid to the federation account?

Was it because Sanusi had the guts and courage to write the letter of the missing $49 billion to your principal that made you fake documents and social media accounts that designed to portray Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as a sponsor of terrorists?

Was Amaechi lying when he said in the same interview that if the missing billions of dollars were deployed for developmental projects by your principal’s administration, the infrastructural gap we suffer today won’t be this huge and half of the missing money is enough to build the rail projects we are now going to borrow money from China for?

Did Amaechi lie when he said your principal did not save money in spite of the huge savings he inherited from previous administrations and was surreptitiously spending alone the money meant for Federal, States and Local Government Councils? Was Amaechi lying when he said your principal’s administration refused to call NEC (National Economic Council) meetings for about two years, in violation of the constitution, so that the administration you were part of, can covertly continue to spend the money meant for the three tiers of government?

Does it not trouble you that there seems to be an obvious link between the missing billions Sanusi Lamido Sanusi wrote about to your principal and the billons of naira and other currencies that were allegedly squandered on frivolities like the N2 billion supposedly given to marabouts to pray for your principal’s election victory or the N4 billion for propaganda work and many others? How do you even sleep at night?

You say Amaechi lied and no money was missing; yet billions in Naira and other currencies are been recovered regularly from top operatives of your principal’s administration.

You even went as low as writing that Amaechi consistently betrays his benefactors without mentioning one benefactor he betrayed; and the accusations from matters that are in court. How low can you go?

While you questioned the sanity of Amaechi, many Nigerians feel pity for you and know that you are the one who needs psychiatric and perhaps spiritual help. You are like a mad man in the market square that points his fingers at sane people, calling them mad. The Amaechi I know will not apologize for the prominent role he played to remove your boss from the Villa. Your principal is gone and gone for good; perhaps, he may never return to Aso Rock as its landlord. No amount of demonizing Amaechi would reverse this. The earlier you get over the loss, the better for you, mentally and otherwise, Wendell Simlin aka Reno Omokri.

PoliticsHow Jonathan, Wike Blocked Rivers State From Taking Delivery Of Two Helicopters by 007truthbetold(op): 7:55pm On Jan 29, 2017
HOW PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN, NYESOM WIKE PREVENTED & BLOCKED RIVERS STATE GOVERNMENT FROM TAKING POSSESSION OF THE CONTROVERSIAL HELICOPTERS- AMAECHI

Our attention has been drawn to misrepresentations and innuendoes as it concerns the immediate past Governor of Rivers State and current minister of Transportation Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi in the purchase and importation of two helicopters into Nigeria that was supposedly abandoned at the Murtala Mohammed International airport, Lagos. To set the records straight, we wish to state the following facts:

1. Recall that when Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi took over as Governor of Rivers State, criminals masquerading as militants, kidnappers and all other criminal elements were on the prowl in Rivers State. With a strong political will to tackle these menaces and make the State a safe place, Amaechi initiated a lot of measures to deal with the menace. Purchasing these helicopters was one of the measures the Amaechi administration took to curb the clandestine and criminal activities in the state. And the decision to go for these helicopters was based on the advice and recommendation of security experts and specialists that were working closely with our Nigerian security agents to rid the state of these criminals- kidnappers, pipeline vandals, vicious political cultists etc.

2. Sequel to the recommendation of security experts, the Rivers State Government bought the two Bell 412 security surveillance helicopters during the administration of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, in collaboration with the federal government through the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA). The federal government then was very impressed with the Amaechi administration’s security plan to curb criminality in the State and supported the plan all the way. To show their support, the Federal government through the office of the NSA contributed $15M (Fifteen Million Dollars), about half of the total sum, towards the purchase of the helicopters. Also, the then former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration granted waivers to the Rivers State government to purchase and import the helicopters.

3. However, trouble started many months later when the helicopters became ready for the Rivers State Government to take possession of them and use them to fight crime and the criminals in the land and creeks of the State. The President Goodluck Jonathan administration frustrated and rebuffed all attempts by Amaechi and the Rivers State government to take possession of the helicopters. Note that the said helicopters were partly funded by the federal government and that would be operated and managed by federal security agencies in collaboration with the Rivers State government.

4. This strange twist was most baffling to the Rivers State government. Many would recall that, Amaechi as Governor of Rivers State at different times cried out and spoke loudly about the refusal of the President Goodluck Jonathan administration to allow the Rivers State government take possession of the security surveillance helicopters. It was about security, the safety of lives and property, but the Jonathan administration refused and bluntly blocked the Rivers State government from taking possession of the helicopters. The same helicopters the federal government had months back, partly funded and had granted approvals and waivers for the purchase and importation into the country.

5. It was obvious why the President Goodluck Jonathan administration acted the way it did and Nyesom Wike, the present Governor of Rivers State was an integral part, a major player in the whole conspiracy to block and prevent Rivers State government from taking possession of the helicopters. Then, as a minister in President Jonathan’s cabinet, Wike inundated President Jonathan with lies and fake stories of how then Governor Amaechi wanted to use the helicopters for Presidential campaigns against Jonathan, how Amaechi will use the helicopters to support President Jonathan’s opponents before and during the presidential elections and all sorts of concocted tales that created a false impression that the Amaechi government in Rivers State would use the helicopters against and to fight President Jonathan, and not to secure lives and property.

6. Wike then, was already nursing the ambition to run for the office of Governor of Rivers State, he didn’t care about the security of lives and property, his grand plot was to use the criminals, political cultists and criminal militants to harass, intimidate, terrorize, maim and even kill his political opponents and those that refused to support or vote for him before, during and after the elections. Wike knew early that he needed these criminal elements to rig his way to Rivers State government House, so he did everything to ensure that these criminals will be always available for him to use.

7. It is worrisome and indeed pathetic that Governor Nyesom Wike as usual, is again playing politics with the safety and security of Rivers people. The helicopters were procured by the Amaechi administration to curb the wanton menace of criminals in the State (which has since worsened under Wike’s watch), but in his usual habit, Governor Wike has decided to abandon and dump the helicopters, because he does not care about the safety and security of lives and property in the State. Sad, very sad.

PoliticsProf. Sagay, SAN Reacts To Justices Ngwuta And Okoro's Statements About Amaechi by 007truthbetold(op): 4:26pm On Nov 10, 2016
STATEMENTS CREDITED TO JUSTICES NGWUTA AND OKORO OF THE SUPREME COURT ABOUT MR. CHIBUIKE ROTIMI AMAECHI –
MINISTER OF TRANSPORT.

By Professor Itse Sagay, SAN.

Below is my response to frequent enquiries by Members of the Press on the above subject matter.

Two Justices of the Supreme Court affected by the DSS raids of Saturday 8th October, 2016, have been quoted as stating that Hon. Minister of Transport, Mr. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi once attempted to induce them to favour the APC in an election petition. This outburst by the two Justices is surprising, considering that it is totally unrelated to be raids of their premises, their arrest and subsequent charges before our Courts. Men of that status should not indulge in such diversionary activities in the midst of grave and ominous charges facing them. I would have thought that they would use the time at their disposal to prepare their defences against the serious charges they are facing.

In any case, given their statuses as Supreme Court Justices, even in the middle of the adversity confronting them, they should not have engaged in a distraction totally incompatible with the dignity and respect that their high offices attract.

It is demeaning for them to abandon their legitimate defence in order to smear a high official of the Buhari government, which latter, they probably consider to be the source of their predicaments. Mere allegations cannot have enough weight to affect the position of such a high official as Amaechi, otherwise knowing the disposition of Nigerians for putting people down, no office holder will be safe in this country. It is therefore improper and ridiculous to compare the position of the Justices in whose houses millions of naira and hundreds of thousands of dollars were recovered, to that of Amaechi against whom there is only the mere ipse dixit of the Judges.

This sudden anti-Amaechi narrative is consistent with the objectives and interests of the chief promoters and funders of judicial corruption during election petitions. These powerful opposition politicians are well known. To be more specific, they are from Rivers and Akwa-Ibom States. They are the ones who financed judicial corruptions and brought that great institution, the Judiciary, to its knees, after the 2015 elections.

These allegations are intended to undermine and weaken the Buhari Federal Government, by depriving it of the service, input, ideas and productivity of some of its brightest stars. This is intended to set the stage for charging the government with ineffectiveness and cluelessness. In other words, it is an attempt to reduce the image and perception of this Federal Government to the low level of their own late and unlamented government.

Therefore, the call for Amaechi to step down is malicious and vindictive. It should be ignored with complete ignominy.

PoliticsCall On Pres. Buhari By PDP To Sack Amaechi, Onu Frivolous And Mischievous – APC by 007truthbetold(op): 9:28pm On Nov 05, 2016
Call on President Buhari by PDP to sack Amaechi, Onu frivolous and mischievous – APC

…Says Wike met with Apex Court Judge in Owerri

The Rivers State chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, has taken notice of a press release by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to ask the Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu to step aside because some Justices accused and being investigated of corruption had curiously described their investigation as act of persecution by the Buhari administration for not favouring the All Progressives Congress, APC, in election matters arising from the 2015 general elections in some states.

The call by the PDP flies in the face of reason, fairness, common sense and cause of justice.

1. It is a known fact that embattled Justices Sylvester Ngwuta and John Inyang Okoro of the Supreme Court who are currently under DSS investigation for serious corruption charges only resorted to the cheap, convenient, everyday reaction of people caught red-handed committing crimes in order to divert attention away from the grave reality confronting them especially when faced with sufficient evidence.

2. Indeed, it is even more disconcerting that PDP in the said call, refused to recognise the naked fact that by accusing the Ministers of attempting to induce them to pervert the course of justice, the accused Hon. Justices introduced unrelated allegations against innocent persons unconnected with the matter for which they are being investigated, something that many accused persons easily, conveniently and cheaply resort to when caged. The questions that quickly come to mind include: were the huge sums of money reportedly found in their homes given to them by the Ministers they are accusing? Do the petitions for which the Justices are being investigated have anything to do with Amaechi or Onu? Are Justices of the Supreme Court unaware that relevant laws of the land imposes on them the strict duty to properly and formally report inducement of any kind in a timely manner or risk prison term of not less than 2 years?

3. We urge Mr. President and Nigerians to completely disregard PDP call for the sacking of Amaechi and Onu. Why should they be sacked? What crime did they commit for PDP to call for their sack? These fine gentlemen did nothing wrong. Mr. President should not and cannot act based on mere accusations from the Supreme Court Justices without any iota of proof or evidence to back their claims. And we should not forget that these Justices only started making these false accusations against Amaechi & Onu, after they were arrested by the DSS.

4. PDP call is fraudulent, unnecessary, a distraction from the real problems of fighting corruption in the Judiciary. They should allow Mr. President fight corruption without their childish, partisan distractions. The President Buhari’s fight against corruption is about Nigeria and moving Nigeria forward.

5. The PDP should rather be calling for the expulsion and sack of their governors and senate minority leader from the South-South region who has been involved in the pervasion of justice in governorship electoral matters by financially inducing the Supreme Court Justices under investigation.

6. Yes, as a party, we re-affirm our belief that the PDP governors and Senate Minority Leader who perverted justice and then turned around to orchestrate wrongful and false accusations against the Transportation Minister, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi through the Supreme Court Justices in order to cover their tracks, crime, distract attention and destroy Amaechi, are the ones that the PDP should expel from their party, banish from politics and call for their resignation or sacking.

7. Again, we stand by our earlier statement on the ignominious roles of the governors of Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Delta States, and the Senate Minority leader in the pervasion of the course of justice at the apex court and the subsequent failed attempt to pin the Justices’ travails on Amaechi. In the days ahead, more details will continue to come out. For instance, it is already in the open that Governor Nyesom Wike held a secret meeting in a hotel in Owerri, Imo State with one of the Supreme Court Justices that was arrested by the Directorate of State Services (DSS). The agenda of that meeting was for the apex court Justice to assist Wike to get a favourable judgement and pervert the course of justice in the Rivers State governorship election matter that was then about going to the apex court.

PoliticsAmaechi Responds To Justice Ngwuta's Allegations by 007truthbetold(op): 9:26pm On Oct 20, 2016
RESPONSE TO HON. JUSTICE NGWUTA ALLEGATIONS

Our attention has been drawn to the allegations leveled against Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Transportation, by Supreme Court Justice, The Honourable Justice Sylvester Ngwuta. In response we state that:

1. The Hon. Justice Ngwuta’s allegation as it concerns Amaechi is nothing but pure fiction, a dubious diversionary tale concocted to muddle the very serious issues of his arrest and investigation by the Department of State Services (DSS).
2. For emphasis, we want to state categorically that Amaechi did not and has never tried to lobby, induce or make the Hon. Justice Ngwuta to influence the outcome of any matter before the Supreme Court or any other court. The Hon. Justice Ngwuta’s narrative as it concerns Amaechi is simply not true, an unadulterated fallacy design to deceive and distract from the real issues of DSS investigation of acts of corruption against him.
3. It’s indeed very sad and most unfortunate that the Hon. Justice Ngwuta had decided to drag the name of the Honourable Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), into his fabricated allegations. Again, We make bold to state that Amaechi did not and has never lobbied, approached or attempted to make the CJN or any other Justice of the apex court to influence the Supreme Court judgment on the Rivers State and Ekiti State Governorship Elections petition appeals or any other matter before the apex court or any other court.
4. Within a space of 48 hours, we have observed a carefully planned and coordinated political attempt to drag Amaechi into the DSS arrest and investigation of judges in Nigeria. The aim of the plot is two-fold: to smear and politically destroy the image and reputation of Amaechi, and deceitfully portray him as the person behind the arrest of judges. This is indeed most ridiculous and callous.
5. We are aware of a well timed, heavily funded plot to “take out” Amaechi politically, and it appears that Justice Ngwuta and Justice Inyang Okoro (of the Supreme Court, who had also made similar made-up allegations against Amaechi), have wittingly or unwittingly been conscripted into this devious politics of “destroy Amaechi by all means.”
6. Amaechi is not and cannot be behind the arrest and investigation of the Hon. Justice Ngwuta. He should kindly leave Amaechi alone and face the issues he has with the DSS.
7. Amaechi is talking with his lawyers and will explore lawful channels to seek redress for this gross defamation against his character and person.

ESTABLISHMENT OF NATIONAL SHIPPING LINE UNDERWAY –AMAECHI

Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi says the Federal Government is marshalling out ways of encouraging the establishment of a National Shipping Line to ensure maximum exploitation of the potentials in the maritime industry.

Amaechi also said the Federal government is making efforts at improving business in the country’s maritime sector especially in the areas of establishing a deep sea port for modern mega ships as well as the establishment of dry ports such as the Kaduna inland dry port among others.

Amaechi spoke in a keynote address he delivered at the 14th Maritime Seminar for Judges organized by the Nigerian Shippers' Council (a Parastatal under his ministry), in collaboration with the National Judicial Institute (NJI).

According to the Minister, “The present administration is looking into ways of encouraging the establishment of a national shipping line to ensure maximum exploitation of the potentials in our maritime sector”.

“The Federal Government is doing a lot towards improving on the ease of doing business in Nigeria especially in the maritime sector. The Federal Government effort towards trade facilitation includes modernization of transport infrastructure such as establishment of deep sea ports to attract the patronage of our seaports by modern mega ships and the establishment of dry ports such as the Kaduna inland dry port and others all over the country to decongest the seaports and facilitate expeditious evacuation of cargo from the seaports among others,” he said.

While also suggesting that maritime laws should be made compulsory courses in tertiary institutions, Amaechi called on the chief Judge of the Federal High court to consider the creation of a maritime or admiralty division in the federal high court to specially handle maritime cases.

Also, considering the crucial role of the maritime sector in the development of the economy, Amaechi said “May I remind you of the need for capacity building in the maritime industry. It is of general knowledge that most of our maritime trade is carried by foreign ship owners, thereby limiting the economic benefits accruable to the nation such as creation of jobs, freight and insurance earnings.”
Amaechi said the maritime seminar will equip the judges and Justices of superior courts of record as well as relevant stakeholders in the maritime industry.

In his own address, the honorable Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman Board of Governors of the National Judicial Institute, Hon justice Mahmud Mohammed said the seminar has contributed immensely to deepening the synergy between the judiciary and the maritime sector.

“The Nigerian judiciary stands ready to deepen this synergy as part of our wider reform efforts that will reposition our judiciary for better justice delivery and retain our place as one of the best judicial institutions in the world”.

“In furtherance of its drive to ensure a quick dispensation of justice, the Nigerian judiciary remains similarly committed to the use of a multi-track, multi-modal justice delivery system that will include a more robust adoption of alternative dispute resolutions as a veritable medium of settling dispute.

“It is important for us to ensure that this seminar continues to provide a platform for introducing new concepts and refreshing our minds on novel areas of law that govern shipping international trade and admiralty matters,” he said.

Also in his own remarks, Chairman of the occasion and former Head of State, Chief Dr. Ernest Shonekon commended the Nigerian Shippers’ Council and the National Judicial Institute for a healthy collaboration towards nation building.

“I therefore commend the Nigerian Shippers Council and the National Judicial Institute for collaborating to organize this seminar which is an invaluable capacity building programme for those in the bench and the bar who by the demand of their profession must continue to update themselves on many areas of human endeavor particularly as they relate to the legal profession.

“I will like to urge the Nigerian Shippers’ Council and the National Judicial Institute to redouble their efforts to ensure the continuity of this seminar. So apart from its usefulness to the stakeholders, this international seminar also serves as a way of domesticating some of the international conventions and rules that are governing international trade in the maritime sector. Every effort must be made to sustain it,” he said.

Earlier, President Muhammadu Buhari who was represented by the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary Ministry of Justice, Mr. Taiwo Abidoku described as welcome development for the organizers of the seminar to encourage the training of judges and legal practitioners in the field of maritime.

“I am happy to note that efforts are being made by organizers of this seminar to encourage the training of our judges and legal practitioners in the important field of maritime law.

“As we are all aware, the maritime sector constitutes the live wire of global trade and commerce in addition to its historical and current role in facilitating human interaction among communities, regions and continents. In view of this fundamental role we must therefore continue to develop the requisite human capacity to take advantage of opportunities in the sector,” he said.

PoliticsHow Amaechi Got Involved In Sanusi’s Letter To Jonathan by 007truthbetold(op): 5:31pm On May 05, 2016
HOW AMAECHI GOT INVOLVED IN SANUSI’S LETTER TO JONATHAN

Our attention has been drawn to reports in the media that tends to infer and/or suggest that immediate past governor of Rivers State and now Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi surreptitiously and clandestinely ‘leaked’ a letter written by former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor and now Emir of Kano, Sanusi Muhammad 11 to then President Goodluck Jonathan on the non-remittance of $49.8 billion from oil sale to the federation account. This is further from the truth and what exactly transpired as regards Amaechi’s involvement in that Sanusi letter.

To put the records straight, we want to categorically state that:

1. A concerned and patriotic Nigerian who felt sufficiently troubled with what was happening then, gave a copy of the Sanusi letter to Amaechi in Amaechi’s capacity as the chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF). Like Amaechi, we should appreciate that concerned Nigerian’s patriotism.
2. When Amaechi got the letter, he spoke with Sanusi who was still the CBN governor to confirm the authenticity of the letter. Sanusi confirmed to Amaechi that he wrote the letter. During their conversation, Amaechi made it abundantly clear to the then CBN governor that the bleeding of the nation had to be stopped, all non-remitted funds remitted and that he (Amaechi) was going to use the letter to do whatever is in the best interest of the nation and Nigerians, which was the stoppage of the non-remittance and the recovery of all the non-remitted funds from oil sale. The CBN Governor didn’t agree with Amaechi on the way forward.
3. Considering that the letter was given to Amaechi as Chairman of the Governors’ Forum, he shared the letter with his colleague governors first, and with Senator Bukola Saraki (now Senate President), who before and around that period was doing some work or/and investigation around the oil sector in the senate.
4. Around that period, a delegation from the United States of America government, from the offices of the Secretaries of State and Defense visited Amaechi in Port Harcourt to discuss the issue of oil theft in Nigeria. From their records, they gave Amaechi figures of billions of dollars (about $7 billion dollars, annually) that was being lost to oil theft in Nigeria. They were discussing the issue and figures of oil theft, and that was how the CBN governor’s letter to President Jonathan came up. In the presence of journalists covering the visit, Amaechi brought out the Sanusi letter to the visiting American delegation to buttress the point that Nigeria was losing far more money to non-remittance of proceeds from oil sale into the federation account, which everyone seemed to concur, was in itself, another form and another dimension to the issue of oil theft.
5. To suggest, infer or even extrapolate that Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi surreptitiously, clandestinely or underhandedly ‘leaked’ the CBN governor’s (Sanusi’s) letter is indeed most unfair, disrespectful and uncharitable to his person. Amaechi did what he did because he believed that the theft and corruption was just too much. He was propelled by his patriotic zeal to put Nigeria first, do what is in the best interest of the nation and Nigerians, and stop the bleeding and sucking of our collective resources by a tiny few. The mind boggling corruption revelations in the recent past, that is still ongoing clearly justifies and vindicates Amaechi’s stance on the issue and the actions he took. Faced with the same situation, under similar circumstances, Amaechi will not act differently. The good of Nigeria, putting the nation and Nigerians first, will always be his guiding principle.

PoliticsWike A Threat To Democracy, Free, Fair Elections – Amaechi by 007truthbetold(op):
…claims Wike’s thug carted away materials during inconclusive Ikwerre LGA polls

The immediate past governor of Rivers state and Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has said that his successor Nyesom Wike is a threat to democracy, a threat to free and fair elections in Rivers State.

Amaechi also stated that the elections in his Ikwerre Local Government Area (LGA) is inconclusive because thugs sent by Wike violently disrupted the collation of votes for the LGA.

In a statement issued by Amaechi’s media office in response to the threats and allegations by Wike in THISDAY newspaper of Saturday, Amaechi described Wike as a clear danger and threat to free and fair elections, devoid of violence in Rivers State.

“Wike’s riotous comments in THISDAY of Saturday is disgraceful and shameful. His resort to blackmail, threats and more violence is a clear danger to the practice of democracy, to free and fair elections in Rivers State.”

“You would recall that Wike has been threatening INEC and INEC officials. Before the re-run elections, he threatened INEC officials coming to conduct the elections to write their wills before coming as if they were coming to die in Rivers State. Sadly, an INEC adhoc staff, a youth corper was killed, murdered. This is a classic case of the owl crying in the night and the baby not waking up in the morning. He threatened INEC before the elections and an INEC official sent to conduct election was murdered on election day, what
other evidence do we need to know who is responsible for the death of the INEC official?”

“Wike is a loose cannon, threatening INEC with violence, fire and brimstone. This is intolerable and completely unacceptable. No democracy can survive with Wike’s kind of attitude and disposition to elections. Wike can’t just go on and on threatening crisis, war and more violence just because of his desperation to win elections.”

On Amaechi’s LGA, Ikwerre LGA elections that Wike claimed PDP won, the statement described Wike’s claim as a cheap lie and another cheap attempt by Wike to blackmail INEC to announce an inconclusive election in favour of PDP.

On Ikwerre LGA, the statement said, “The problem in Ikwerre LGA elections was caused by the same Wike who sent his goons to the LGA collation centre to disrupt the collation. The collating officer for the LGA, Dr. Allwell Egeonu told the press and it is on video, that he was lucky to escape alive as thugs, hoodlums invaded the Ikwerre LGA collation centre in Isiokpo, that they were shooting for
over 30 minutes and everybody had to run for their lives.

The Wike goons took away all the materials. According to the INEC Collating official, nothing was collated in Ikwerre LGA. And this man’s story is on tape. He spoke to the media. The Collating Officer for Ikwerre LGA also went to the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Rivers State, reported what happened and also wrote about it to the State REC. A copy of the letter is available for all to see. The video is also available online. Many media houses reported it and showed the video.”

“So what result for Ikwerre LGA is Wike talking about? The man INEC sent to collate the results for the LGA, Dr. Egeonu says there is no result for the LGA because he didn’t collate anything, yet Wike is all over the place disgracing himself that Amaechi lost his LGA. He’s all over the place, threatening crisis, threatening INEC with fire and brimstone, for INEC to release a result that does not even exist, in the first place. You can now understand the kind of desperate fellow we are dealing with here. This must not
be allowed to continue. Wike cannot hold an entire state, hostage. He’s a clear danger and threat to the practice of democracy, and free and fair elections in Rivers State. If he’s not threatening crisis, fire and war against Rivers people, he is orchestrating and organizing violence against the people, the same people he swore to protect. This is condemnable, utterly reprehensible and
unacceptable”, the statement read.

PoliticsTransport Minister Chibuike Amaechi Speaks On Rivers Re-run Elections by 007truthbetold(op): 4:38pm On Mar 17, 2016
BROADCAST BY THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION, RT. HON. CHIBUIKE ROTIMI AMAECHI, ON THE RE-RUN NATIONAL AND STATE ASSEMBLIES ELECTIONS IN RIVERS STATE

My Dear people of Rivers State,

1. The National and State Assemblies re-run elections come up this Saturday, March 19, 2016. This is another opportunity for us to exercise our rights to vote for candidates of our choice. You would recall that the last time the elections were held, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were brazenly, crudely and violently prevented from exercising their inalienable rights to elect those they wanted.

2. Those same characters and forces that stole our votes by violently denying us the right to vote the last time, are at it again. In the months and weeks leading to this Saturday’s elections, they have employed the use of violence and threats to lives as tools of intimidation and harassment, all aimed at preventing us from coming out to vote. They have turned our hitherto peaceful State into a haven of brazen criminality, culminating in killings and maiming of innocent citizens.

3. However, it is gratifying to note that the Commander-In-Chief, President Muhammadu Buhari has assured the security of lives and property in the State before, during and after the elections. Mr. President has graciously provided adequate security through the length and breadth of the State. I therefore enjoin you all to come out en mass to exercise your civic rights, on Saturday.

4. To this end, the reign of terror in some of our Local Government Areas, leading to senseless killings will not be tolerated, as the security agencies have been directed to ensure the safety of all before, during and after the elections. I therefore, implore you all to come out to exercise your rights to vote.

5. The Rivers State Government has declared a two-day ‘public holiday’, for Thursday and Friday. To this effect, the State government has directed non Rivers State government establishments and institutions such as banks, businesses and schools to ensure compliance. It is however sad to note that the State government is extending the public holidays to private institutions. This, from the constitutional point of view is an illegality, which clearly shows that the incumbent governor has no regard for the people nor care for their well being. This flows from the sudden declaration of a two-day public holiday without considering the attendant economic hardships and consequences it would inflict on the people and the State, respectively. Now, that you have a chance to vote and your vote will count, choose wisely, vote APC.

6. Finally, I call on all Rivers people not to submit to any form of intimidation and threat. Coming out to elect candidates of your choice on Saturday is your constitutional right and civic responsibility. No one, I repeat, no one can stop you from exercising this right. Once again, let me assure you all that your security and safety is guaranteed. Come out and exercise your right to vote.

God bless Rivers State.

PoliticsNyesom Wike’s $150million Fairy-tale About Amaechi And Apc by 007truthbetold(op): 7:48pm On Feb 08, 2016
Sadly, on Sunday, February 7, 2016, Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State in furtherance of his administration’s one-point agenda, yet again, continued his grossly irresponsible, repugnant and contemptuous, albeit, feckless mission of denigrating and disparaging the person and office of the immediate past governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, who is now the minister of transportation.

The ‘story-story’ this time is about another phantom $150,000,000(One Hundred and Fifty Million Dollars) that Amaechi purportedly stole from Rivers State government coffers and siphoned to his party, the All Progressives Congress(APC) within eighteen days, from December 1 to 18 of 2014. Sadly again, Wike picked a church, a sacred temple of God to tell his new imaginary tale, another bogus, fallacious concoction.

This new scurrilous fabrication by Governor Wike is in sync with the one-point agenda of the Wike administration, which is to throw as much mud as possible at former governor Amaechi, hoping that some may at least stick. All sorts of spurious stories about alleged corruption and stealing of state funds against the Amaechi administration, have been bandied in the media with no attempt to substantiate or prove these distorted false claims that completely makes nonsense of common sense. Even, when Amaechi challenged the Wike administration and its agents to use any constitutionally available legal process or procedure to prove their jaundice, deceitful allegations against him and his administration, they have rather elected to do their own corruption probe, trial and conviction in the media; and now, even inside our solemn places of worship (churches). How callous! Why would a government be so determined to desecrate and destroy every institution, all in the name of playing politics?

It continues to baffle us, like most right-thinking Nigerians that Governor Wike will stand in a church- a solemn place of worship- and carelessly, brusquely tell such a profound lie. He condescendingly descended to falsely and indecorously shout corruption against Amaechi, without providing a single shred of evidence to back his claims. How pathetic!

Pray, Governor Wike, who collected the $150million on behalf of APC? From which State Government account(s) was the $150million taken from? How was the $150million taken and given to APC? Was it by wired transfer from Rivers State government account(s) to APC account(s)?  So many questions, if Wike had attempted to answer, would have made nonsense of his supercilious allegations.

Rivers people and Nigerians are indeed sick and tired of this old worn-out trick of Governor Wike to hoodwink and distract Rivers people from the real issues. Making a new spurious allegation of corruption against Amaechi every day, will not make Rivers people forget that most of the beautiful, working institutions built by the Amaechi administration are now been allowed to rot away in spite of the billions of naira that had accrued to the State and the billions of naira borrowed by Wike. Rivers people want to know why weeds and grasses have taken over the beautiful schools built by Amaechi? Why the standard working health facilities Amaechi built and left behind are now looking desolate and abandoned? Rivers people are concerned and worried that crime and criminals are back and have taken over. No quantum of mudslinging and attempt to disparage the inspiring legacies of the Amaechi years in Rivers State would distract Rivers people from these issues.

PoliticsGo To Court And Stop Your Silly Distractions, Amaechi Warns Wike... by 007truthbetold(op): 9:38pm On Jan 06, 2016
GO TO COURT AND STOP YOUR SILLY DISTRACTIONS, AMAECHI WARNS WIKE OVER PROF. SOYINKA N82M ALLEGATION

Former Rivers State Governor and Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has debunked the allegation by the Nyesom Wike led government of Rivers State that Amaechi as governor misappropriated N82 million in hosting Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka.

In a statement by the Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi Media Office, Wednesday, Amaechi warned Wike and the coterie of court-jesters and attention-seekers in his administration to desist from peddling lies, making false allegations and criminalizing legitimate government transactions in their desperate bid to discredit the person and reputation of Rotimi Amaechi.  The statement urged Wike to go to court, charge Amaechi to court if he has any case of fraud or misappropriation of State funds against him instead of these silly distractions.

The statement said this current allegation by Wike and his people are aimed at distracting the people from Wike’s massive electoral fraud during the last elections which different courts has confirmed, and his gross incompetence and woeful performance at the helm of affairs in Rivers State, as things continue to go from bad to worse.

"Wike must stop these silly distractions. Rivers people are not interested in his lies and witch-hunt. Rather, Rivers people want to know what will happen to their children that he stopped and cancelled the funding of their scholarships abroad. Rivers people want to know why the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA), an agency setup by law is no longer functioning under Wike? Why instead of quality education, a standard set by his predecessor, under Wike, grasses and weeds have taken over the beautiful schools built by Amaechi?”

"Rivers people want to know why the standard health facilities and services put in place by the Amaechi administration are rotting away, not this petty rambling. Rivers people want to know why the Wike government does not care about the security of their lives and property, as violence and criminals have taken over. Rivers people want to know why it feels as if there is no government in Rivers State, and this is in spite of the billions of naira that has accrued to the Wike administration and the tens of billions of naira borrowed.”

The statement warned Wike against dragging the names of respected Nigerians who have made the country proud globally and who are internationally known to be honest and forthright, such as Prof Soyinka into his unbridled, unashamed and ill-advised attack of his former boss and benefactor.

It added that since Wike is blind to his responsibilities as Governor of Rivers State and has insisted on attacking the person and clean reputation of Amaechi as his one and only project, then let him go to court to prove his allegations and stop the nefarious insinuations against Amaechi.

PoliticsAmaechi Did Not Storm The Residence Of The Senate President In Anger Or Protest by 007truthbetold(op): 1:55pm On Oct 19, 2015
AMAECHI DID NOT STORM THE RESIDENCE OF THE SENATE PRESIDENT IN ANGER, TO PROTEST THE DEFERMENT OF HIS SCREENING

Our attention has been drawn to the lead front page report in THISDAY newspapers of today (Monday, October 19, 2015), where it was reported that Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the immediate past Governor of Rivers State “was incensed over the deferment of his screening last week and stormed Saraki’s house to register his protest.”

The THISDAY report which the respected newspaper got from ‘sources’, further claimed that during the visit of Thursday, last week, Amaechi “was said to have raised his voice to express his frustration before leaving the residence without seeing the Senate President…”

The imagery created in the last four paragraphs of the lead report in THISDAY of today, was an angry Amaechi who stormed the residence of Senate President Bukola Saraki, raised his voice as he made a scene or caused a “ruckus” to display his frustration over the deferment of his screening by the Senate, before “storming out in a huff”, without seeing the Senate President.

This is absolutely not true. There is a deliberate and carefully calibrated attempt to characterize Amaechi with a very bad and demeaning mannerism. We must clarify that Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi did not visit and was not at the residence of the Senate President on Thursday of last week. Since he did not go to the residence of the Senate President on Thursday of last week, so, there is absolutely no way what the newspaper sources claimed to have transpired, happened.

We must emphasized that former Governor Amaechi holds the office of the President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in very high esteem and will never disrespect or act in anyway that would put the office in disrepute. However, in this case, the incident reported never occurred either on Thursday or any other day.

While we understand the constraints and pressures journalists face in doing their jobs, we would advise them to be thorough and double-check or even triple-check their sources of information. There seems to exist an axis of fifth columnists, masquerading as ‘sources’ to journalists, but fabricate events, incidences and stories that never happened to malign and destroy the character and reputation of others, while fomenting acrimony and bad blood in the polity. Journalists must beware of such ‘sources’.

ENOUGH OF THE THEATRICS, GO TO COURT

As we expected, the Justice G. O Omereji Commission of Inquiry set up by Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike supposedly to probe the immediate past Governor of the State, Rt. Hon. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi did not disappoint. The panel lived up to expectations as a shambolic inquisition panel that was set up to indict Amaechi.

Crudely, without any sense of finesse or attempt to disguise its mission to ‘hack down Amaechi’, the Omereji panel did the bidding of its paymaster. As we earlier warned, it turned out to be a comedy, a circus show to grab media headlines with bogus, phantom and fabricated claims of corrupt practices against former governor Amaechi and officials of his administration. It achieved nothing beyond political excitements, entertainment and theatrics.

From the Chairman, to the way the panel conducted its ‘probe’ activities, it was obvious even to the blind that the Wike panel was on a mission to indict Amaechi. Video from the public hearing of the panel that has gone viral on the internet clearly shows the world the crude inquisition Wike conducted against Amaechi.

At every point during the public hearing, Justice Omereji clearly showed his bias and his determination to indict Amaechi and officials of his administration. Most times, the panel chairman simply concluded that they are corrupt, even before all the facts are made known to the panel, even before all sides have been heard. On one occasion, Omereji said he wished the panel had the powers of a court so he could lock up, perhaps for life, these so called corrupt officials.

Witnesses invited by the panel were coerced, directed, ordered and told in clear terms, sometimes with written notes from the commission staff, what not to say and what to say. The chairman of the panel prevented counsels to those invited, from asking relevant questions that are likely to deviate and detract from their pre-determined agenda and conclusion. Lawyers and witnesses invited by the panel were constantly intimidated, harassed and bullied. Witnesses were constantly bullied to toe the line of the commission pre-determined agenda and conclusion. The panel chairman was ordering witnesses not to answer questions that would expose the commission’s bias to indict Amaechi.

Indeed, the Wike panel was an inquisition against Amaechi. Wike should go to court if he has any case of alleged corrupt activities against Amaechi. His panel is not and can never be a law court.

Wike’s regular childish tantrums, theatrics, comedy and drama of screaming huge bogus and phantom figures of missing or stolen or misappropriated billions of naira by the Amaechi administration have become a silly and sickening distraction. Mr. Wike, since you do not know and none of your coterie of court-jesters is bold enough to tell you, we will tell you; you sound like a broken record. Our polity can certainly do without this madness.

PoliticsThe Documentary Gov Wike Of Rivers State Does Not Want You To See by 007truthbetold(op): 12:33am On Oct 10, 2015
This is the Documentary Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State wants to kill.

https://youtu.be/I4XPByiEAZE

The Rivers Peoples Forum (RPF), a socio-political group in Rivers State, has accused the African Independent Television (AIT), owned and run by Chief Raymond Dokpesi, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, and the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) of working for the PDP and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.

Reason: They refused to show a documentary packaged by the group to show the true situation of things in Rivers State.
“This is not only a danger to free speech in Nigeria, but a real threat to the practice of democracy in the country,” the group said.
A statement by RPF’s Communications Director, Charles Bekwele, reads: “A few weeks ago, AIT showed many times a TV documentary, produced by the Integrity Group, a known ally and agent of the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike. The documentary was a direct attack on the former Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. The documentary was sponsored by Wike to rubbish Amaechi’s image, tarnished his good name and wrongly but deviously portray Amaechi as corrupt with the primary aim of stopping Amaechi to be part of President Buhari’s Change Team.
“Facts were distorted, outright lies were told in the documentary, just to paint Amaechi as corrupt. And AIT gleefully showed this documentary, many times without talking to Amaechi or making any attempt to hear Amaechi’s side.

“RPF did its own 27-minute documentary, stating the facts of the matter and AIT got this on September 25. The documentary clearly pointed out the many lies of Wike against Amaechi, in the Wike-sponsored documentary that was shown many times on AIT. The RPF documentary also showed with facts, that Wike runs a government of deceit; and his one-point agenda is to fight his predecessor and former benefactor, Amaechi. Most revealing in the RPF documentary were scenes from the public hearing of Wike’s ‘shambolic’ Commission of Inquiry to investigate Amaechi that clearly shows the panel was set up just to indict Amaechi of corruption.

“Without notifying RPF, AIT took the documentary to Nyesom Wike. With the TV documentary in his hand, Wike approached a Port Harcourt High Court to stop AIT and a couple of other TV stations in Nigeria from showing the documentary that exposed Wike’s government of fraud and deceit; and his war against Rotimi Amaechi. This is the same AIT that showed many times, Wike’s anti-Amaechi documentary in spite of the many protestations by Amaechi, APC and many Nigerians.

“On the other hand, we still can’t understand why NTA has refused to show the documentary, despite the fact that it is not part of any court processes instituted by Wike and has not been restrained by any court. After making assurances to show the documentary and giving us a time that it would be shown, NTA suspiciously stopped the showing of the documentary a few minutes to the scheduled showing.

“Efforts to get NTA top management staff to show the documentary or give us a valid reason why a public broadcaster like NTA would stop it has been abortive. Is NTA now being used by Nyesom Wike to kill free speech and kill fair hearing? Why is NTA not showing it?

“Although this cannot be confirmed now, we reliably gathered that money must have exchanged hands involving some people to ensure that the documentary is not shown on any TV station. A source also told us in NTA that the strategy is to get a kangaroo court order restraining NTA from showing it, so the plot now is for NTA to buy time for Nyesom Wike.

“We want to state clearly that this operation ‘kill the RPF documentary’ will not work as we are determined to let Nigerians know and see the truth about Wike’s shenanigans in Rivers State and his vendetta war against Rotimi Amaechi.

“AIT is notorious for showing devious, defamatory television documentaries against APC leaders in Nigeria. It would be recalled that before the general elections, the same AIT showed documentaries replete with lies and distorted facts against APC Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari and APC leader Bola Tinubu. These documentaries were widely condemned by Nigerians”.
