You got it. A state that thrives on propaganda, even the indigenes don’t ask questions OVB123: Yes, I agree with you Bro. They was a report I read few weeks ago when the governor of the state, Peter Mba said that in the first 7 months of 2024, the state generated 35b naira. My question is this, if in 7 months of 2024, Enugu state generated 35b naira, how did it skyrocketed to 180b naira in that same year under review? No be juju be that? Secondly in 2023, Enugu state generated 33b naira, now how did she (Enugu state) generated 180b naira in 2024? Can't you see that something is fishy somewhere? |

OVB123: I still don't believe Enugu state IGR. What did the state generated in 2024? What were the industries that were tax in the state that enable her to generate such a whopping sum of 180b naira in 2025? Let us see the breakdown sector by sector. The only thing thriving in Enugu state is propaganda. The governor knows that there’s no way for external entities to check how much they got as IGR that’s why they have given out such bogus data. |
Politics › Re: Ranking Of States By Internally Generated Revenue (2024 - The Cable) by 0bjpmb: 11:13pm On Oct 06, 2025 |
It is only the state government that gives out figures of IGR because they know that there’s no way an external entity can checkmate them on this. Enugu figure is bogus and has discredited the entire report. There’s nothing in Enugu that can generate that kind of money. Enugu is almost 90% civil servants, so does it mean that the governor converted their salaries to IGR? IGBOPROMISE1: You remind me of the story we were told as kids, and it was about a race between the tortoise and one fast animal like that….think it was mgbada, can’t remember now! No prizes for guessing who was acting all cocksure and confident and what the result of the race was!? |

Why’s my post a thorn on you guy’s body? This is same thing people from your state say all the time even if it’s false, but once someone from Anambra say it, it becomes an issue. My rhetorics are welcomed here, if you don’t like it, go to your own state thread. Scholes007: What is the essence of these unnecessary comments. Anambra is doing great. We say many good things about the state but your rhetorics can't be welcomed. |

Chikeluba25: Road dualization in Onitsha. Soludo is really getting it right with massive road expansion across the state. This is what we hv been longing for. I hope to see Awka(ringroad)-Isiagu-Nibo road 2: 33-Nkwelle road... get this kind of attention sooner or later. Anambra truly leading Igboland in overall development and advancement. You think claiming Anambra will ever make you an Anambran. We all know who you are. You people are bitter, jittery, threatened and envious because Awka is the most beautiful city in Igboland and Anambra is the most developed Igbo state. The road is over 10km, your attempt to discredit the beautiful infrastructures will never work here. wizzyvibes: Another paid mugu. Na my state be this. Me I no even get your time. Why are you people from Enugu state always jittery whenever any development is posted here? Go to Enugu thread and see how they are praising Mbah with almost nothing to show. Recently we all read the news about his exploits with Sojimoto and how they are looting Enugu state, none of you are even discussing it. FYI: this is not a basic looking project, this is world class outlook, you cannot find it anywhere else in southeast. Once it’s Anambra all of you will start being jittery. Unbiased1: Lol. This thread is filled with so much mediocrity already. You need to see how dey praise basic-looking projects here. |

Why do you think he’s paid? The road is more than 10km and it is the most beautiful place in southeast. Why are you worried that the road is being shown? Is it making you jittery? Haha. You people always have issues when Anambra do what you people have been doing for decades. The guy is very correct in what he stated. If you have any issue with it, then go to your state thread. wizzyvibes: You are obviously paid. Everyday you just be showing us govt house road that is less than 3km. Keep deluding yourself sreamsense: That 90% mud that covered Ibadan is why it has more companies than Awka. And another reason why Ibadan is richer than Awka to the extent excess money generated from Ibadan is shared with Awka and Biafra land in general to survive and run your two local government Awka and Anambra if compared to Ibadan in term of landmass. It is not on record that Awka generates more money than Ibadan, it is always Ibadan that generate huge money with her 90% mud houses. Don't you think Awka should also better become mud houses so far it can generate enough money to run itself and remit to federal in excess |

sreamsense: Beautiful! This is nice. However, in reality; both the capital and the state are not more than two local government in Oyo state, it is easy for development to show quickly unlike that of Oyo state that if something happens in one area, it may not quickly be noticed due to bigger land mass.
Is just like you putting furniture in one room and one parlour, then; you carry same furniture that fills one room, one parlour to four bedroom apartment with extra balcony; you may not notice the existence of those furniture in your new apartment or may just fill inadequate. It would have been a great joy of ipob/ESN don't chase away foreign investors to complement those development. Most of the buildings are empty until Christmas time if there is no threat of life by ipob/ESN before Christmas that people come to celebrate before returning to their bases Ibadan is almost 90% covered in mud houses . You can’t compare it to a modern city like Awka |

Oga stop. Onitsha is better than Ana Awka is better than Umuahia Anambra is better than abia That’s the result IduNaOba: Bro State wide anambra wins Why because anambra has multiple cities not just the capital and anambra has more rural development because ndị anambra ji ezigbo nkụ. However talking of cities in ALA igbo, ABA is in a league of it's own. Just like onitsha (both are not state capitals but very very nice.) Aba wins because it has everything state capitals should. Closed drainage systems (started by okezie ikpeazụ and continued by Otti) Steady light Security Fantastic roads Ease of doing biz Incredible waste management system that works! Boy I came to aba and shouted. You see that waste management? It is a very big deal, I rate it more than I rate closed drainage sef but all join.
I stand for the truth anytime any day Anambra takes the state development challenge home yes. But aba wins the city version. Also abịa may catch up to anambra because Otti is developing Abịa massively I dey see am with my eye no be media propaganda. |

It is in your family that the horror is happening not in Anambra. Please what’s Mbah doing and how much has he borrowed so far? What you people always look out for is propaganda. Mbah said he will construct rail line from Enugu state to everywhere, how? Mbah cannot even provide ordinary water in Enugu as people are literally drinking well and gutter water. Which fund is Mbah managing? You mean loans acquired with nothing to show except propaganda? How do you justify that a state governor acquired refurbished airlines, for what? Was it not the same thing Okorocha did in the past and where is it? Are you gong to talk about roads? Soludo has done more infrastructures, roads, etc, than any governor in southeast. Soludo is dualising so many roads across Anambra. Let’s not even talk about what’s happening at Ekwulobia, Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi. Building the SE best and biggest three arm zone befitting of a state like Anambra. Built the largest fun center in SE and Nigeria at large. Let’s not even talk about other ongoing projects like drug trade center at Oba, mixed use center at Ogboji, etc. this is what purposeful governance entails. He’s doing all these without borrowing., IGBOPROMISE1: You captured succinctly the unfolding horror tale that is governance in Anambra! What i expected of Soludo is, to a large extent, what i see Mbah doing in Enugu: a well thought out and bullish approach to governance that yields verifiable results you can see….not all this cho cho cho he’s doing! Of course there are a few areas he’s doing relatively well in: like management of available funds, ante-natal care, and a few intra-state roads….whose quality and design could have been better! |

Mktinsight, you think by switching your moniker no one would recognize you anymore. You are a well known envious bitter frustrated fellow. You attacked almost all the projects ever built in Anambra including the airport, ICC, etc. you attacked the airport to the point that you said it won’t be completed, today it is completed and doing so well. Nigeria generally has a security challenge. Anambra is still amongst the states doing well in security in Nigeria and southeast in particular unlike imo and Enugu states. Anambra government house is the best designed, largest and best government house in southeast and among the few best in Nigeria. Your envy and bitter can never change the reality. Anambra is booming as the economic capital of Igboland. I have been in Awka for over two weeks, found it hard to get a hotel accommodation because it’s constantly fully booked, restaurants, clubs, night life is so active. You can only lie to people not in Anambra. I was at the fun city yesterday, I waited for almost 30mins to get a pass ticket due to massive crowds there. Anambra is doing well and shall continue to be the best and most developed Igbo state. abuzz33: The new Government House is a reflection of how ANSG operates. Relying on inexperience. The ANSG never considered security when they were designing the new Government House because it was likely they gave the architectural design to an APGA member instead of to a professional firm. A professional firm would not have built buildings close to the boundary walls as you see with the US embassy buildings which are built deep inside their land. And like you mentioned, a smart government knowing it had made a mistake would have planted trees not just on the road but even within its premises. But a government full of corrupt dullards would rather spend billions erecting iron pillars. If there is any criticism of Soludo it’s that his lack of ability to recruit experts is why the state is suffering security challenges. Under Soludo, lecturers, politicians, doctors, lawyers have been kidnapped and killed because his "solution" to security is hiring thugs and giving them vans and calling them Agunechemba. For real security experts are needed. Already the diaspora are abandoning the state in droves. People are spending most of their time (and money) in Lagos and Abuja and only visiting Anambra when necessary. The roads, hotels, restaurants, clubs of the state are reflecting this and have lost significant patronage. Too bad. |
