You are very correct and this is a fact. I have even corrected the useless ediot called abagworo. This issue goes on, imo state will lose big time because most imo indigenes live in Anambra, but I haven’t seen one Anambra indigene that live in imo state.

Anambra international airport is the only airport in Igboland that has the actual control tower building, longest runway, escalators, carousels, full body scanners . Imo and Enugu motorpark airports barely have something that’s not even remotely looking like a control tower. So it is understandable why you bitter envious people are angry.

You are just an envious bitter frustrated fellow. Anambra international airport terminal is the most modern, not just in Igbo land but entire federation aside Abuja and Lagos. Enugu airport is like a motorpark at Upper Iweka. Imo airport is just a makeshift, they don’t have airport yet, Anambra is the only Igbo state that has the real airport in Igboland. There’s no other state built airport in the east, west or North that comes close to the beauty and elegance and sophistication of Anambra international airport terminal. The AERO-BRIDGES cannot fit the small aircrafts that land at the airport. The aero-bridges are meant for large intercontinental aircrafts in mind so for long time to come, it may be just a fancy or a waste. Anambra Airport terminal building as I saw it last month does not have any semblance of an airport terminal. Actually, it is LOWER IN QUALITY than the BUS TERMINALS being built across the country today. Anambra people are more than the terminal I saw last month.

Let's think constructively. The reality is Soludo needs to improve his project planning, budgeting and management. The Amusement park in awka is over 2 years now. The reconstruction of the 3km Oby Okoli avenue is 2 years. The government house complex is over 3 years. It ahould not be but its because he is using an outdated method popular in Nigeria where you pay as money comes in rather than in bulk.
This is why infrastructure projects in Nigeria take decades. The second Niger Bridge was designed in 2004 or 2005 but no real work took place until 2017. That was because Uche Orji at the NSIA figured out a better funding model by seeking counterpart funding from development agencies and private investors in setting up the presidential infrastructure fund.
ANSG should have sought creative funding options for its projects. For example the Amusement Park really should be a PPP and designed 100% by experts not partly by ParkVega and Anambra govt officials. The government house complex should have been constructed in phases the way Abuja was when ministries were moved from Lagos to Abuja.
Anyways we can only pray that Soludo can complete these projects to a high quality standard.

We are reaching an Impass and it must be said now and become a focus for future generations. Imo State needs a rail connection from Onitsha to Aba that goes through Owerri. Here's why

1. All economic development is based on access and flow of markets. If you have access to sea, you will be richer than someone who does not. If you have access to river, you will not be as rich as the one with access to see, but you're above the one who does not. After river is rail and after rail is highway. After highway is street. after street is foot path. A community of all footpaths will never be richer than a community with paved road, and one with paved road and not access to rail will never beat one with access to rail. Why?

Because these different avenues can handle and encourage different volume of trade. If Owerri is linked to Aba and PH by rail, refineries worth billions will be built here. If not, they must go to PH or Aba. For this reason, Owerri cannot match Aba and PH in commercial activity and therefore development.

Rail increases are volume of trade to a city/state with SEA access like Lagos, Enugu, Aba, Kaduna, Abuja and PH. Most major Nigerian cities would be villages if not for rail access.

2. Owerri's money is in tourism and leisure. Can you image the volume of business the city would do if people can get on a train and arrive in Owerri after 20 mins, then leave by the end of the day? Tourists from Onitsha, Aba, PH, Enugu would flood in in droves.


3. Living. Owerri excels at lifestyle and modernity in comparison to surrounding towns. if there is a situation where a person can live in Owerri (spend their income in Owerri) but work in PH, Aba, Onitsha, then the city will become a major commerical hub

4. If i want to locate a factory in Owerri, Orlu or any city the rail will cross and I need resources from any part of Nigeria, I could get it by rail instead of road with it's potholes, go slows, kidnappers, checkpoints, bribes, car trouble etc. I can get it at high volume as well as sell our own at high volume. If somebody is making cars in Owerri and they recieve an order for 5000 cars to South Africa, you can send that in 1 day. Otherwise, this order is not even answerable.

5. Ease of life. A person from Anambra or Abia can land at Owerri airport, enter train, and reach their destination across the whole region.


The next thing Imo state needs is a rail connection that will like Owerri, Orlu, and Onitsha. Owerri should be aim towards being the transport hub for the entire Old East region. It already has the busiest airport, rail will take everything to the next level. It is expensive but is worth any price because that is what will put Owerri on par with PH (which we're arguably going to surpass soon), Aba, and even Lagos

I started posting incidents of kidnapping after posting that the government was not taking it very seriously. It should be obvious that something is definitely SERIOUSLY wrong when judges, doctors, politicians, nuns, Reverend fathers, bankers have been kidnapped over the past year with absolute Impunity. The Urologist at NAUTH was not the first doctor to be kidnapped. Dr Stephen Ezeh was abducted in Ihiala in August 2024. Supersport journalists were abducted with some killed in October 2024. The Labor member of house of reps for Onitsha North Justice Azuka abducted in December 2024 was not the first legislator kidnapped, Okechukwu Okoye representing Aguata 1 was abducted and killed in May 2022.
These should not happen at all if there was any semblance of a security architecture in place. Bank robbery attacks after all ceased in Anambra when armed gangs could not effect a getaway when Obi replaced police security checkpoints with military personnel.
Under Soludo the state roads are wide open. The highly corrupt NPF are everywhere collecting money without securing anything. Why shouldn't armed gangs roam around looking for who to abduct?
Anambra should be one of the few states where it should be hard to get away with kidnap for ransom. The state is small highly urbanized that can be seen from satellite images. There are less than 1 million vehicles, less than 6 million phone lines, less than 500,000 buildings. The cities and towns have few entry and exit points. Surveillance in such a place should not be difficult. But not with the NPF.
Simple data gathering and analysis should uncover criminal patterns. For example, in a population of 6 million with phones track signals of those moving around in vehicles after 6pm. It cannot be more than 5% of the population. Track those roaming around away from their home locations it cannot be more than 0.01% of the population. From that you build profiles.
Similarly, to ensure security on roads you need traffic cameras to take pictures of license plates and build profiles of movements of vehicles on key roads in Anambra. You also need surveillance drones in the sky to monitor day and night movements. There are drones that can remain airborne for more than 10 hours and can cover over 200km in range.
Then there should be stronger regulation of the transportation sector. Anambra has far too many Keke and shuttles that makes a chaos of traffic and roads. Many Keke operators are unknown operate without identification and some are criminals. Large trucks that deliver goods to markets are used to smuggle people, weapons and contraband into the state. None are checked by security agents.
Soludo doesn't have the capacity to secure even himself. Moving around with APC and 15 police is not security. He should take several million dollars and go get Israeli or ex military foreign consultants with a mission to identify armed criminal gangs and weapons trafficking in Anambra. Not this agunechemba silliness.

Taa mechionu you obviously have no defence. Ewu has Abuja turned to a Dubai or Taiwan? Insecurity is more in Enugu and imo states, the difference is that while that of Anambra is over reported, the ones in imo and Enugu are under reported.

I have my reservations about Hope Uzodimma and Chukwuma Soludo and as much as they're not popular with the people, they're not actually doing badly.
