The weight of the damn thing was enough to iron the clothes, not also forgetting little bits of hot coal dropping on my clothes and ruining them.
Not also forgetting putting your clothes under your mattress, for that perfect ironing feel!!!
The good old days!!!

In my school days one or 2 chaps would hav it; as 4 d masses they did "local ironing" by folding their clothes & putting dem under d pillow to remove d crease. Droplets of hot coal wd stimes ruin a prized shirt & it wd take a whol term to get 3 naira to buy another shirt. i see d iron in d market even 2day which means some folks ar stil using it.
