Very creative and thought provoking article. Nigerians generally believe that they have God in their hands and can manipulate him according to their wilm and caprices. This is why even armed robbers appeal to god to have a good day as they go out to rob.

I think its human nature to want to put God into a mold defined by our circumstances, upbringing, culture, personalities.

Because so many Nigerians are poor or at least surrounded by poverty, God becomes mostly about making us rich.
