4)In the Quranic story of Moses and Zil-Khidr, the destiny of the child notwithstanding, was Khidr justified in killing a baby who had committed no crime as yet? In perspective, if today, a pastor or an imam with claims of having direct communication with God kills a baby under the pretext of saving that baby from hell-fire, would their explanation be palatable to you?

King Arthur might have existed. he was most probably an Ancient Welsh Pagan King & Warlord. however the grail stories were concocted after the conversion to christianity of the Celtic Welsh peoples. .

The quran and the hadiths say nothing about the language of the people of paradise or hell......

this is to be brought upon a sane, mature muslim apostate........and can only be institutionalised in an islamic state.
....whether a woman should also be killed or imprisoned is definitely not clear...different scholars are for either of the opinions........
some scholars are of the opinion that the apostate male or female should be imprisoned till he/she reverts to islam....not ever sentenced

......and of course a child cannot be killed......

a muslim apostate is a sane muslim who had proffesed the shahada(i.e a testimony to the oneness of allah and the truthfulness of the prophet), understood it,practised it before completely rejecting all of it.....

a sane muslim man who professes the shahada, understands it and practises it is by all this automatically inducted into the muslim army. the duty of striving in the cause of allah is invested upon him...some of this duty may include protection of the muslims, propagation of the word of Allah, forbiddance of every vile act.......this might not always require the use of force.......the pen might sometimes be most appropriate .........e.g as i am doing......
the duty on a muslim is obviously beyond that of a soldier. apart from the duty of ensuring a physically stable society, he is also to ensure a morally upright one.

defection or apostasy of such would not only be a set back to the muslims and its army, it will be counterprodutive...........

capital punishment is prescribed for army defectors and spies in most countries (about 60% of countries around the world)..........but not very many people have problems with this........

laws of different countries differ depending on the culture, environment, people,religion and neccesity.....
different terrains must have been considered before the enactment of a particular law........and even though few people may differ in the presciption of punishment for an offence in a particular country, at least most dont.........

china thinks death penalty should be prescribed for public office holders who embezzle money...
USA thinks this is too excessive........
both are right depending on the cultural, economical and social terrain of each country.......
at least the majority in each country agree with its own country's method of punishment.....
and i really thinks this is all that matters.....
no country can authoritatively say that the laws of its neighbouring country are too strict ot lenient
there are no absolute laws...
some things may be considered "crime" in one country and may not in another......it all border on what the people agree on...
some non muslims have even wished that adultery be made a crime(mostly women though)........
same sex marriage in nigeria is punishable by 14 years imprisonment.....such law doesnt exist in the USA

And that "death penalty" is the punishment for apostasy in an islamic state should not really matter, what should matter is if this is what majority of the people agree on.....and whether the law was imposed on them....

if u think this is unfair, then 14 years imprisoment is also unfair to those who wish to marry the same sex in nigeria.....and "no punishment" would also be an unfair judgement to those in the USA who think such act is morally reprehensible

the same applies to the islamic state.....
an average muslim in an islamic state knows that the punishment for apostasy is death...........
and most of the people must have agreed b4 the enactment of such law....of which u may even be apart to..
so if u think such practice is wrong.......it would become very wrong for u become an apostate in that country.
what is most reasonable is for u to leave that country for another one where such laws dont exist.......
remember, this law may the very basic moral foundation of such country........it was pehaps made b4 u were born
it cannot be relaxed becos u now think it's wrong
only u didnt make it up.......the people did....
and only they and u(i.e the people) have to think it's wrong b4 it can be relaxed.......
For example......
if mr A lives in nigeria and thinks there should be no punishment for murder or thinks that the punishment for murder is wrong....
he does not go about killing people and then go to the press to discuss the wrongfulness of capital punishment for murder...
he still has to respect the law....
....eventhough he doesnt think it's right anymore........
he should leave nigeria to a country where no one is punished for murder.....

same goes for a muslim apostate
one does not become an apostate in an islamic state and then goes to the media of that country to show that death to an apostate is wrong....
he should respect the law of that country and flee somewhere else.....
then he can then start to show his coubtry people what he thinks is wrong with the death sentence...
