One factor that militated against us apart from the inability to score and defend well is "low self esteem" Whose self esteem? Nigerians generally or D'tigers |

As a team, did they actually started playing together two months back? the government and coach expects some magic?our government does't invest enough in sport neither is it taken seriously, these guys should have started training and playing as a team long before the olympic, this d appropriate thing to do.These athletes needs very good food, medicals, lots more,am certain all these are lacking, how then could they win?their lost is to be expected,it did't come as a surprise. To gain stamina what have this guys been feeding on before the olympic,d governmnet would feed them on eba and fufu daily and u expect them to do well. You can't reap where u did't sow.Hissees. |

There are lots of countries who are corrupts and good at bomb explosion . Even the US are very much corrupt than we are . Haven't you not heard of the halibutton bribe? It was the US who had that corrupt mind to put in their money to bribe our officials and yet you say we are corrupt? The US says the mexicans are corrupt but yet,the big men in power have their ways of bringing the cocaine into the US to sell it to their citizen and yet you say Nigeria is corrupt. Have you even gone to port harcourt where SHELL offices are in the rural zone, if you look at their backyard, you would see the lives of how people live and yet you say Nigeria is corrupt? Do you know that france owns anything that goes beyond 6ft beneath the soil of some countries of the francophone region? Yet ,you say Nigeria is corrupt. I think we have just failed to realized the harm that the western nations are doing to we africans but instead you have decided to look inwards on how corrupt our system is making it look like we are the top on the corruption list. Don't get it twist my friend, open your eyes. 1 Like |

gbosaa: damn 18-8..she lost, there goes another medal hope. For goodness sake, how can you or any Nigerian expect any medal (of the 3 available) in a competition featuring tens or hundreds of countries when most of those countries have invested in their athletes for over 4 years? Forget investment in athletes, how about the investment in a society that makes these athletes to have access to the latest research, the latest information, security so they can train all night if they needed to without worrying about robbers or BH, good food, healthcare that will fix any kind of disease or injury in this world, access to the best Olympic coaches or don't you know their are coaches that are Olympic coaches? Most of the countries have these kinds of investment in their societies and still prepare for years BUT your country did nothing and wants to win a medal on luck, God or whatever stupid reason out of just 3 (Gold, Silver, Bronze? Can you tell us how much investment Nigeria has put into its Olympic team / athletes? Reply with facts and figures only. |

afam4eva: One factor that militated against us apart from the inability to score and defend well is "low self esteem". How is it low self esteem? I think you are talking about "confidence" which comes with mastery of something you do all the time! This team is surely a confident one because ALL those guys play or have played at higher levels not just as a hobby. But how much confidence can anyone have in passing a difficult exam when he was disorganized for 4 years and woke up weeks to D-day compared to another student who solved the exam questions, practiced all the questions over and over again for over 4 years and does it everyday? Well, you certainly know who will have more confidence. While useless countries waste their times in corruption, defending corrupt leaders because they are from their tribes, lack patriotism since all they think is seccession, have invested nothing for four years, the other country has done the exact opposite. What confidence can you have except the empty and baseless one that can only rely on luck or falsely on God? Can you tell us how much investment Nigeria has put into its Olympic team / athletes?
