Just one question, which area of microbiology do you think is the most lucrative or the most needed in nigeria? I personally think industrial/environmental McB and probably food McB are worth it as regards area of specialisation in this country. Whoever is thinking about medical McB is seriously on a long thing except he/she is going for epidemiology. I've also heard news about phytopathology/mycology but am not quite sure about them.

The only aspect of public health where microbiologists are needed is epidemiology. You'll have to do a masters in public health, that's if you want to be taken seriously

If you are really crazy about biotechnology the way i am, you won't be looking for a job. Get adequate training and start up something for yourself.
