If one is a dedicated member of a church/mosque etc etc, the members there perform the burial rites but what happens to someone who is not a member of any dedication?

The "which church do you attend" thread got me wondering as some people attend different churches etc.

Pray for what? To ask God to forgive the dead and let them into his kingdom....that will be laughable if the case as one can sin as he likes only to be prayed on at dead letting him sneak into God's kingdom..Its pretty useless...We Live,Learn and Die so if someone does die let a professional undertaker do his job..

OK. Get you. It's just the few funerals I've been to, there were some last rites done (not by a family member) before the body was committed to mother earth.
