Nigeria is 12th on the medal table with 6 Gold 5 Silver and 1 Bronze Medals. Wow

All of them in Power Lifting. More grease to their elbows.

Its truly shameful that accomplishments such as these are ignored by nigerians as a whole, this should make the front page but unfortunately it doesn't. When incredible individuals such as these win medals and break world records they are not recognized but when they come home empty handed we all start critisizing them, nigerians arr trully pathethic. Mods please put this in the front page

Perharps a Miracle from one of our Major Pastors in the country would do.

My problem is that the fed government wouldn't even want to specialize on training these persons that are doing better. What's wrong if we channel more resources into this and ignore those pple wasting so much money and not performing. What we will hear in the future is that this celebrated performance will soon start declining cus of inadequate attention and support

Pastors no dey perform this kind miracle, when it comes to the disabled they turn to philanthropists and no more pastors. On the post they have done nigeria proud and should be rewarded handsomely.

The reason our 'able-bodied' athletes underperform, is because our corrupt sports officials, in their nepotist mindset, flood the system with their homies.
But the same can't be said for our handicapped athletes, because in Nigeria, the disabled are mostly friendless people with very few loved ones. So, there's a lot of merit involved in their selection, because the corrupt elites have no interest in 'cripples' and the rest.

If that is the case of nigeria sportin system, i will rather advise we experiment on the nigerian political system and wipe out the able bodied men and women in government replacing them with the disable bodied men and women, did i hear you say paragovernment? this confirms that there is ability in disability.
What complete people couldn't do, see how impaired people has made Nigeria proud.
I was moved when I saw one of them lifting the weight.
