According to a report by Associated Press (AP), the data of over 60 SSS officials, including their home addresses and names of their next of kin was published online with a threatening message. The information was uploaded by the Boko Haram sect, AP reported.

Personal details of the SSS Director General, Ekpeyong Ita which included the phone numbers, bank account particulars and contact information of the son was published on an undisclosed website.
