*Kails*:

some women "cheat" and use hair coloring to make their hair appear thicker.
if you want to use that option, then dye your hair black. grin believe it or not, it works.

if not then you should do braid and twist outs.
with each braid or twist ou you do, make your plaits small-medium sized
and then spread them out more to give your curls a fuller look.

example:

medium sized braids

once you take out the braids, just continue to unravel each one more (the curls)
until they are as you desire and your hair looks "bigger".
i hope i am making sense grin...anyway it will do the trick wink

(may hair is currently braided just like that pik... tongue)
hmmm! Really? Send mea pix swrrry? cheesy

#make star fall from heaven if she go gree send am.......... grin

Luv this,I really do. Right now mine is in that third stage I wanna cut it back to the second, I miss that shorter hair.
smiley

Me, I want to go back to stage 1. I've been yearning for a twa lately. I won't cut it though. If I still crave for a twa next year, maybe I will cut it then. undecided

WELL i did a "semi big chop" tongue two months ago as i like to call it where
you don't cut off all of your hair and start new but instead you grow your hair out
and then you cut off the permed bits so as of now im in between stages 1 & 2 smiley
Are you still transitioning, Kails? For some reason I thought you've done the full BC, I don't know why. smiley

*Kails*:
vatika

^i love this oil!! cool kiss

JBCO

^^ i have been following her on YT for a minute.
she is more so for hair growth and maintenance
not so much natural.
I have both vatika oil and JBCO. I like both. Vatika oil is great for adding sheen. I just bought a new bottle two weeks ago. The last time I used it was about 3 years ago, so I think I just wanted to try it again. I use JBCO mainly as a sealer.

SniperInADiaper: You dont have to. Ive seen some just leaving it in protective styles until it grows long enough to chop the ends.
pls what the meaning of "protective styles"

Right. Plus the advantage Vatika has over JBCO is that it's lighter on your heair. It doesn't smell too much better tho lol. JBCO is a good sealer and it makes my hair feel healthier.

nanalady: pls what the meaning of "protective styles"

braids, twists, buns, even a full head sew in.
basically any style that will protect your hair from too much friction esp. at night when you sleep
as well as styles that you can use to keep from brushing it too much.
Re: Beauty Of Natural Hair Thread :) by Nobody: 12:41am On Sep 29, 2013
Braidz:
any hairstyle that keeps your ends protected or covered e.g. Braids, twists and cornrows

there we go! cool

how long have the braids been in her hair?
the reason i am asking is because i PERSONALLY find that
the longer the braids have been in, the better the twists look. smiley

Well she has had it a week, but frankly the stylist that did it performed a sucky job this time and it looked like crap within the next day.. Ive just been riding it out because Ive been busy with my other kid.

Maybe Im ranting but I just think when somebody is being paid for a job that it should be worth it.
