It depends on d feasibility of d whole thing, f rite now u have no tangible source of income and u live below poverty level then YES it is covetousness. Infact it’s a dream |

@topic, This is partly what my Pastor preached in our church last sunday. He is teaching on a series titled "Graceful Waiting", and the issue of covetousness came up. There is nothing wrong with desiring a range rover or limousine for that matter. You only need to search your heart and be sure that the desire isn't propelled by covetousness. Afterall, God promised us in Romans 8:32 - He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? and He also said in 1 Tim 6;17 - who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;. The problem with covetousness is that you attach your happiness or joy to either your having or lacking the object. So you see, whether you own that car or not, you should be sure that your heart is free of covetousness. The only way to be free of covetousness is to find satisfaction in God at all times, whether in times of need or times of plenty. Your joy should always be full becuase god is always with you - Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Bottom line is this. If it is good and your heart desires it while you are sure that covetousness is absent, do by all means ask and you will receive it. |

proxies: Depends on the motive. You want it as a mode of transport and you like that brand of car or in your heart this is a testament of ur having arrived as a big man. God sees the heart. |
