All you need to do is do a SIM swap or use SIM adapter

Most likely, other phones will start using nanoSIM from next year. it does provide some space savings afterall.

Just cutting a SIM card down will not work though. the nanosim is thinner than the Microsim so you'll still need to sandpaper it down a bit

I've just taken delivery of an iPhone5 Black 32 GB. The Nano SIM arrived 24 hours later.

For those who may want to cut down a standard SIM card, there are SIM cutters on eBay that will stamp out as many Nano SIM cards as you wish. Looks more like a stapler, and operates pretty much like one:

It's thinner, but a cut-down standard SIM card works just fine. Fits nice and snug too. There was talk of sanding the standard one down, but so far, all the cut ones I've seen have fit the iPhone5 Nano SIM tray perfectly.
