Bro, I'm sure there's nothing those people can do about it. There's no way banks can refund that money because they will have to do a reversal of transaction which cannot be paid cash. Some people paid at bank branches far away from their usual location. Let's just pray against these 'enemies of progress' and protest against their decision if we have to. They are not really fighting for our interest.

Bro, so you didn't realize that you misplaced your print-out until the last possible day of bank payment? Haba! IMHO, its too late to start paying at the bank. You never took the recruitment seriously, maybe you don't have a penchant for uniform jobs! Don't force yourself.......Try other places and God will crown your efforts with success. Minister insists on N1,000 for NIS job form

The Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, has said that the payment of N1,000 for the application form of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) is the right thing to do for Nigerians.

According to him, the consulting firm in charge of the recruitment has the approval of the ministry to charge N1,000 on the advice of the Federal Character Commission.

The minister spoke against the background of criticisms dogging the N1000 fee for applicantions for jobs in NIS.

The minister spoke in Abuja on Thursday at the inauguration of the ministerial committee on paramilitary village housing scheme development project.

He said: 'It bothers me why people refuse to understand, because of their entrenched interest.

'It is the right thing to do for the ordinary Nigerian in terms of cost benefit analysis. It is more cost-effective to visit the sites to register, to get interviewed and get employed in the Ministry of Interior and its corporations.

'I am aware that we are coming from a background of a distorted and controversial process of recruitment into the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), where it was alleged that the process was compromised.'

He that thinks great, Acts great.,,, Poor thinkers react so slowly. The registration closes 27th October 2013. Best of luck 2all of us

Read through the post several times and still can't see the main motive for charging 1k. This is just absolute politicians' talk.
