D-Day For Disgraced Athlete Jones

Drugs cheat athlete Marion Jones will be sentenced today for lying to FBI investigators.
The disgraced star, who became the first woman to win five medals at an Olympics, admitted taking steroids.

A tearful Jones outside courtJones has been stripped of the three gold and two bronze medals she won at the 2000 Sydney games.

Now she is returning to court in New York to discover whether she will be sent to prison.

Jones admitted lying to a federal investigator in 2003 when he asked if she had used performance-enhancing drugs.

I almost feel sorry for her, but the way she so vehemently and strongly denounced the notion she took steriods is haunting her. She was such an icon in sports - it's too bad she had to fall this hard.
Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and other stars should pay attention and confess now b4 its too late.

  haba it's not like she killed someone! 20yrs ke? she took drugs and lied about it! She was sentenced to 6mths in jail and 800hrs community service and I think that is sufficient. She's returned the medals, had her records wiped off the books and will forever be subject to public disgrace and debacle, what more do you want?

Thats true, its hurts that Mario Jones will have to go away for 6 months. To me, she was and still is a very good sprinter, it's a pity.
