Owelle is too much in Owerri. Wallahi.

Abeg, make this good Owelle no allow St Joseph Catholic Church in Orlu collapse. The whole surroundings of the church are now fully wet and soft.

Complete common gutter started by previous Imo government to collect rain floods into a valley.
Save this church. Avoid possibility of collapse with worshippers inside.

Before Owelle came in, there was no place of worship in government house except a mosque located behind it. Today, Imo now has a Chapel right in the front of government house before other structures

TWO FACES OF TODAY'S IMO STATE AS MADE BY ROCHAS OKOROCHA.

ANOTHER FACE OF ORLU, IMO STATE
1, hole dug by Rochas Okorocha at centre of Orlu to collect rain flood instead of completing urban drainage started by his predecessors.

2, only road to Imo State University Teaching Hospital, Orlu.

3, four years abandoned road to Carrot Junction at the centre of Orlu

4, only road to Girls Secondary School (Morning Star) Orlu

thank you. for people like you, no body must talk about Orlu or any other place outside Owerri in Imo state.

on the day of voting you will NEVER vote this Okorocha, sorry OkoroOwerri, who is governing Imo state as if Owerri is all there is in the state.

Ejiyke2007, nice pix...please keep them coming

Ujoatu, Sir,could you please show us what we have not seen before? Some of the pix have already been posted here. Ndewo!

Abagworo, I see you! grin You are indispensable here. We need more pix and less talk, biko.

Bravo to y'all for bringing us up to speed with the latest development in Imo.

I think NLanders in Imo villages where IMSG is carrying out new projects should snap and share the project pix here to enrich this thread. Yes, someone has to prove Mandax wrong. I understand his arguments though, and I must say they are very "valid." Imo State is not just about Owerri, but Imo State is not just about Orlu either. All LGAs in Imo should be carried along

Nice one, my people

Re: Few Pics From Imo State by longayink: 5:56am On May 09, 2016
Is our governor heartless?

All soil around the St Joseph Catholic Church at the centre of Orlu has become wetter and wetter since 2012 when Okorocha government moved earth near the church, as the governor said he was building a road from this church to International Market. The road was scrapped through but never completed.

If the St Joseph church collapses and kills worshippers inside, may Okorocha the governor still be celebrating Owerri projects - bridges, flyover, ecumenical centre, bypass roads, heroes square, bongo square, freedom square, Akachi towers, name them; while the people in Orlu mourn?. 50% of peasants in Orlu come from Okorocha's two Ideatos.

Cost of completing Orlu urban drainage gutter started by Okorocha's predecessor may be twenty times less than what Okorocha used in building one lane of the Owerri fly over.

If Okoro is losing what being a state governor means, can't people close to him tell him that he is not getting it so far?

@Abagworo,
That Amaigbo road you show with red mud in 2011....
Between 2002 to 2008; that Amaigbo road in Orlu was glittering, new, black, asphalted, as it was newly reconstructed then.

Message? Roads don't last long as development

Bringjng Development at a place is bringing what can generate money and population in a place; as such development projects are littered by governmens in every space in Owerri and its environs.

A saner governor must have diversion of government development projects to other areas in Imo state outside Owerri zone now, not this government worsening the situation by locating nearly all government development infrastructure it has ever conceived in Owerri zone.

Governor Okorocha says he is not contesting for presidency in 2019.

Information from grapevine has it that Rochas Okorocha shall contest for Senate in 2019.

@Abagworo,

is Rocha going to contest for Owerri Senate seat or where?

Methinks, Rochas can only win Owerri Senate seat if the election is conducted today.

Thank you Abagworo. Thumbs up! The serene and beautiful nature of Owerri has attracted these world standard hotels. These investments are worth billions of naira(if not Dollars).

I wonder why some people think industries must manufacture tangible goods in this 21st century!!! Google did not start with any tangible good. Service industries are quite lucrative and Owerri can boast of many. We want more investments( be it hotel or any kind of investment. Surely people will work in these hotels)

Thumbs up to Owelle!!! Haters straight to Imo River

A closer look at the flyover. I think the standard is highly commendable and is probably the best in SE. Hopefully same standard would be applied to the surrounding highways thereby correcting earlier haphazard looks in some completed works.
