Abagworo: It has taken about four years this Ogboko campus began to be built. A whooping number of four years building a university?? Evans Enwerem took less than three months to start IMSU in Owerri, despite opposition from Orlu then that IMSU must be located in ready facilities in Orlu then. Even the university Okorocha government started two years ago in Mbaise seems to have advanced more than Ogboko. Who is moved? Because Okorocha is known for delaying and abandoning projects he embarks on outside Owerri zone. From Princess hotel Okigwe to Prince Hotel Orlu to School of Health technology and New stadium Orlu - none has seen completion after about five years. 4 Likes |

longayink: 4 years isn't long naa. Not like it was the only thing done in the past 4 years. Remember that the 305 schools, 27 magnificent hospitals and many other campuses if Imopoly and IMSU are all going on simultaneously and have all reached advanced stages. As for the so called Prince and Princess Hotels well meaning Imolites are urging the Governor to shelve the idea as we already have enough private owned Hotels. The other option is to cut down the size and build small affordable ones. 1 Like |

Imo state will remain backward if it does not move away from brothel economy. Every rating has placed imo state alongside the the northerners as a pariah state. Developing those cheap brothels all over Owerri will only worsen things as the state takes the front seat as the prostitution capital of Nigeria. longayink: From the data you can see that the condition of Imo state is getting worse everyday as the brothels do not add anything to the already broke state and its largely poor population. 1 Like

asha90: Anyone can write anything and make it trend. What do you think about this? http://aroundthesports.com.ng/2016/04/28/chukwuma-lambasts-governor-obiano/ What makes Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State thick according to Gabros is his open mindedness. “As it stands today, Imo State is fast becoming the business hub of the South East. Okorocha has opened up the State for development. Igbo sons and daughters outside are fast returning home and going straight to Owerri, the Imo State capital for investment”. “I urge other South East Governors to follow the Okorocha tract. It will help Ndigbo a lot. It is urgent that we come together and formulate a way forward since we have lost out at the centre”. He averred. Speaking further Gabros said, “My Governor who I can personally vouch for is not a bad man but he continues to surround himself with men who are deficient in truth and can never advice him well. Today they are clapping hands for him assuring him that second tenure is a walk over for him. But these are hypocrites but the Governor will not realize it until they stab him”. He advised the Governor to go back to his campaign promises and begin to fulfill them in earnest because the people are watching. |

Re: Few Pics From Imo State by asha90: 2:30pm On May 11, 2016 |
This should be your greatest worry now. Why is Imo state still owing over 10months salary arrears despite huge loans and bailouts? Gabrous is only deceiving your hopeless governor Okroocha because every data and what can be seen on ground has consistently shown that Imo state is bankrupt and a failed state. Who is Gabros? Is he Soludo the economist? Imo state has fallen to the level that ordinary person can deceive you fools with sweet talks while the reality contrasts it... [s] Abagworo:[/s] 2 Likes

What he said is that there is need to make parastatals self sustaining and most of Government funds used for infrastructure. Ejike you no get sense at all. What is the meaning of this nonsense? So Imo state does not have a single worthy role model that is why they chose Anambra born great Zik of Africa to be name after the bridge. It sux to be from Imo state

|
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by mandax: 9:02pm On May 14, 2016 |
For sure, if the people of Imo state are consulted, they will not agree to naming a bridge any where in Imo state Nnamdi Azikiwe Bridge. There are reasons behind this. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Abagworo(m): 9:12pm On May 14, 2016 |
mandax: You are wrong as Imolites aside Mbaise are not tribalistic. Ojukwu boulevard and Ojukwu convection center are in Owerri all named by Imo Government. The only other major Road named after a great Igbo leader is Dee Sam Mbakwe Road. |

I think it's time for igbos in nairaland start looking for how to stop this chino guy before he cause big problem for people that view this site. Even that abagworo or what's his name is another clown, but his problem is being blind follower of a party not knowing that your region counts first before party matters. But chino is causing big division here with the way he attacks anything Imo state. I don't know why he question why Imo state named a bridge after Nnamdi Azikiwe while there are many monuments named after Azikiwe outside Igboland. This is faceless forum but let us behave ourselves as human beings. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by mandax: 10:56pm On May 14, 2016 |
Abagworo: Odumegwu Ojukwu and Sam Mbakwe remain heroes and role models for most Igbo. Zik could only be role model for rest of Nigeria outside Igboland, except perhaps for a few one Nigeria Igbos. Northern people were rejecting a country of northern and southern Nigeria before independence, but Zik wanted one big Nigeria he would rule. And he got today's one Nigeria which has been to the detriment of the average Igbo. Zik betrayed Igbos when Igbos needed him most during the civil war. Zik abandoned Igbos who were besieged by then Nigeria's federal and foreign forces at the heat of the civil war, and joined the camp of Igbos' enemies. |
