Owerri city is being completely rebuilt and you are asking where the economic boom will come from. Imagine if Obiano demolished illegal structures and expands all the roads in Onitsha. The rruth is that presently Imo State is the biggest construction site in Nigeria both with invasion of private estate developers like myself and the ongoing expansion of all the major roads in the city.

Madness. To beautify Owerri, you go to virgin areas of the town, build new roads, lay down pipe borne water, gas and possibly electricity vpipes. Private builders now rush for building in the new area. Government makes money from the private builders. This done, Old Owerri becomes automatically depopulated and beautiful to live in.

Since Okorocha has sworn that he knows no other place in Imo for urbanization except Owerri.

But Rochas Okorocha mills round and round in the Owerri built many years ago, knocks down old relics and traditional land marks of Owerri, and says he is beautifying Owerri. Tufiakwa.

Enjoy. Imo state has a governor who swore that all that exists in the state is the state capital after his few attempts to build roads outside the state capital.

Enjoy the demolishing and reconstruction and demolition and ... in Owerri, but at the expense of providing development infrastructure to other parts of Imo state. Most of the attempted roads outside the state capital remain uncompleted after four years.

For fools who don't know that states are created to have equal development on all parts of the state at the same time, enjoy the bizarre government in Imo state this time.

Can you give example of that sate that have equal development on all parts of the state at the same time.I told you to accept reality not fantasy.Development is a process from one location to another ,time to time not at this time. Before Owelle elected, Orlu was just a glorified village, but today is beautiful. So where Okorocha stopped another Governor comes in that is the process young man.

Abagworo shows Housing estate built by Udenwa administration in Orlu as ongoing project.

Please show the stadium built in Orlu by Udenwa and destroyed by Okorocha without replacement after five years;

show the IMSUTH built by Udenwa in Orlu but roads leading to it wrecked and deliberately abandoned by Okorocha,

also show the Imo International market built by Udenwa in Orlu but Okorocha scrapped and abandoned the roads leading to the market in the last five years.

Show the scrapped and abandoned roads in Orlu which Okorocha is deliberately using to punish Orlu and people living in the town.

What we have in Imo state under Rochas Okorocha is government under-development of every other town in Imo state, but development only in the state capital, Owerri.

Even Okorocha's deputy, told Vanguard a few months ago that Rochas Okorocha concentrated 75% of his development projects in four years in Owerri. But observers say it is up to 95%.
Research a bit, this is on record.

Okorocha's bad belle against Orlu must have pushed him into restricting all his landmark building edifices to Owerri.
Now that bad belle is rubbing away Okorocha's once promising political career, as Owerri revolts against Okorocha.

Udenwa built no single road in Orlu. NDDC built some interior narrow roads which we all know the quality of NDDC roads. All the roads Okorocha built in Orlu are wide and solid with streetlights, roundabouts and wide open drainages. Udenwa buillt a market and it's commendable but he did not do up to 1/100th of what Okorocha has done so far and is still doing as we write. I respect Okorocha for doing wonders with very little funds available to him and sacrificing his entire security votes to run free education in Imo State and still maintain low crime rate. Posterity remains the best judge.

Can you show us the equivalent of this in Owerri? Every city has it's level of infrastructural needs and I must say Orlu has benefited more than other parts of Imo State. Before Okorocha Okigwe was the 2nd largest city and more developed than Orlu but today Orlu has enjoyed excessive government patronage and surpassed Okigwe despite the proximity of later to Abia University. The new Stadium is 90% completed with landscaping and grassing. What is remaining is probably installation of seats, scoreboard, roofing and racing tracks.

Good that you cannot deny that you showed Udenwa govt development infrastructure in Orlu as on going project of Gov Okorocha..

You have made lots of promotion for the few urban roads - about 4km in all - in Orlu broadened by Okorocha government. What else has Okorocha government got to show in Orlu?

Ogboko in Ideato South LGA Orlu Imo State. Rochas is on fire as far as construction is concerned now. No State is embarking on the level of projects he is executing quietly.

The Okorocha drainage project in Ogboko which you showed above has no business with Orlu. Your new mode: copy photos from other places and label them Orlu.

Flood still wrecks havoc in Orlu owing to Rochas Okorocha's blatant refusal to complete the Orlu Urban drainage gutter started by former gov. Ikwechegh from far away Bende. Lots and lots of the peasants in Orlu are from the Ideato Lgas.

See the hole Rochas Okorocha who "loves Orlu" dug at the centre of Orlu to collect floods, instead of channeling the floods to the valley by completing the gutter started by Ikwechegh.

Even Rochas Okorocha demonstrates that only connection between Ogboko and Orlu is the Orlu-Akokwa federal road. The road was abandoned for decades until Udenwa govt got the federal govt to rebuild it. A huge hill separates Ogboko and Orlu.

Abagworo, please stop being deceptive by showing pictures of one place and calling it another place.

What people in Orlu plead is Okorocha to complete the roads his contractors excavated and abandoned all over the place in Orlu and which have blocked movement in the last five years and replace the stadium he destroyed for no good reason; nothing more. He can't provide drinking water, nor modernize the many urban roads in Orlu fully built left and right with houses.

The money Okorocha govt has been using in knocking down and rebuilding in Owerri could have been enough to complete the Orlu Urban drainage, as well as asphalt the abandoned roads in Orlu and Okigwe; but for Rochas politics of bad belle.....

Ogboko is not in Orlu, but in Ideato South lga. At least, Okorocha as governor has demonstrated that in his actions.

Alas, the urban drainage system that wrecks havoc in Orlu which Okorocha refused to complete shall also take the floods down the hills to Ogboko, and also destroy whatever he is building there. He doesn't seem to understand that.

After demolishing in Orlu, what did Okorocha build for replacement?

To expand Orlu town, Udenwa had to build Okporo Housing Estate and other projects outside the main town.

After demolishing the only property he had in Orlu, Okorocha has no other single thing in Orlu, no connection to the town, except the road from Owerri to Ogboko that passes through Orlu which he is building mainly to connect his private university in Ogboko.
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by mandax: 11:04am On Jul 20, 2016
To build Imo state's third and outstanding regional water supply scheme for Orlu zone, complete the urban drainage work, as well as establish a full public university in Orlu zone are what motivated people in the zone to support and vote Okorocha in mass.

These three projects should have benefited Okorocha's Ogboko immensely. But he went for his private business as governor.

Do you know that some stupid people are condemning covered drainages claiming they are not good for Nigeria. Looking at the design it's obvious the drainage will be covered same way it was done earlier.

Okporo Housing remained a breeding ground for snakes, insects and wild animals until Okorocha built College of Nursing and used the estate as their hostel. He equally built Cultural Center, new building materials market, dualised the road, new Stadium, new hospital, new skills acquisition center and new electronics market within that axis. LGA aside Ogboko is in Orlu and Okorocha equally built and completed a loveky dual carriageway from Orlu central to Ogboko with new bridges.

NB everything I wrote has pictorial evidence and if you wish I can display them right away. Orlu has very good drainage system. Only a small area around Umuna is experiencing flooding because of its topography and Okorocha reduced it but could not eliminate it completely. No city is completely free from flood in Nigeria and that of Uzoubi Umuna is one of the smallest in Nigeria.

The non-completion of a simple Urban drainage system in Orlu shall remain a scar forever on Rochas Okorocha conscience;

given that Okorocha has done urban drainage projects in Owerri, each costing many million times more than what completing Orlu drainage project shall cost. Okorocha has built flyovers in and bye pass roads in Owerri, each costing million times what it shall cost to complete the Orlu urban drainage.
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by millionaireman: 11:03pm On Jul 20, 2016
These are the IMSU/Okigwe Road Junction Owerri Pedestrian bridges which Okorocha govt built a few years ago. Today, Okorocha govt is knocking down the bridges because he wants to expand the road.

Meanwhile, the many roads Okorocha govt scratched and abandoned in Orlu in the last four years have crippled the town.

Isn't something wrong somewhere?

You people that are still talking about which state is better than which state are making me laugh..
And you people that are still talking of One Nigeria, boy, good luck with that..

To those who are still actually praising these individuals that call themselves governors, it is either you don't understand what they are there for and who put them there, or you are part of what they are doing..

I wonder..
