Nokia Lumia phones are now officially a available in Nigeria. I saw it on their Facebook page some days ago although I didn't see it on any of the online stores. http://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=433088150060859&id=128858240483853&set=a.299044416798567.65160.128858240483853&refid=17&_ft_=fbid.433088176727523 1 Like |

Just came across it today on smartbuy. Lumia 900 goes for 96k, 800 for 63k and 710 for 33k. http://www.smartbuy.com.ng/index.php/our-store/browse/25-nokia?sef=hc I think its only 710 thats adequately priced in relation to prices worldwide. I expect their prices to fall really quickly especially if 920 comes in early. Come to think of it, I don't know why these phones are coming so late. |

Surprisingly, the release also coincided with further price cuts in Europe. I have totally lost count of how many times the prices of these phones have been cut. Just wondering when such will start reflecting here. http://wmpoweruser.com/nokia-cuts-the-prices-of-their-windows-phone-7-5-handsets/ |

Microstation at Computer village sell their Lumia 800/900 for 61K/89K while Jumia.com goes for 60K/89K . . .The Lumia 900 is still too highly prized considering it's fairly obsolete with respect to the WP8 devices coming up Reports also says the Lumia 920 is destined for Nigeria shores on Dec 25 . . . Hoping it is true cos i don't see peeps waiting for a full year to purchase a flag ship device from Nokia of all people . . . They need to work on the steep prizing of the Lumia 900 to attract any reasonable adoption. . . |

Am using an android phone. But dat doesn't mean am a fandroid. Am loyal only to what's best for me & for most people. I have nothing against nokia. If meego was still supported. I would still be using N9. But as for wp8 hell no. Evil Microsoft is trying to suck nokia dry. And buy them cheap later on. |

jmaine: Hehehe. I recently ditched the Nokia N8 for the Sony Xperia S but it still doesn't give me that exciting feeling I had with my previous Nokia devices. I don't have any issues with the android OS as I currently enjoy the Galaxy Tab 10.1.I just hope Microsoft and Nokia don't let WP8 go the way of Meego. Nokia don jazz me jor! 1 Like |

I wonder how what you said has anything to do with this thread. I'm still waiting for your reply here: https://www.nairaland.com/1039582/nokia-lumia-920...finally-smartphone-nokia Like I said to you on the other thread, you should stick to what you know. Mind you leave Nokias history alone cos you're clearly lacking there. |

aieromon: You again. I still remember you. Hardware-wise, Lumia 920 has owned me except that it doesn't have user replaceable battery and memory card. I just want to see what WP8 holds. Hope its worth the hardware of 920 |
Re: Nokia Lumia Is Now Available In Nigeria by aieromon(m): 5:06am On Oct 01, 2012 |
jedisco: Bro, I can live without the replaceable battery as long as the battery life is off the hook. This is a drawback with android devices except the tablets. As for the memory card slot,I remain indifferent. I can't wait oh! |

Anyone willing to speculate how much the Lumia 920 will sell for in 9ja? Obviously it's going to be way less than what the I5 is going for. I think it will be in the 95 - 100K range. Anyways, thats going to be my next mobile purchase. Lumia 920 FTW |

Anyways, thats going to be my next mobile purchase. If I take it that the speculated price in Europe is a little cheaper than GS III, then I will put it between 90k - 105k. Its just that I can't also see its price conflicting with that of Lumia 900. So it may be priced higher or the Lumia might drop quickly to reflect its price around the world. |

Remember that any of the Lumias you buy now is not upgradeable to WP8 operating system. The best you can ever have is WP7.8 Wait for Lumia 920/820 if you will love to experience WP8. Enjoy! |

Having handled the iPhone 5 and the Nokia Lumia 900, if the 920 has a similar or better to the 900, it is definitely better than the iPhone 5. only thing the iPhone will have in it's favour is the number of 'apps' but if windows 8 has the most important apps (there is also talk of an app that will allow android apps work on the windows 8 phones)then I think the windows 8 phones especially the lumia 920 will really give the iPhone a fight |

Yeah, knew the WP7.8 devices would be pushed to the emerging markets in the end, pricing will become favourable soon. The flagship WP8 will try to compete in Europe and America; a two-way strategy to penetrate all markets by Nokia 1 Like |
