hi Mortiple,yes there are touts even at dstv office,but i can inform you that you will not need to even go to hitv's office because many new innovative means will be introdued to make subscription payments easyer and faster.

Urfriend or whatever you call ourself, i think you guys at HITV needs to bury your head in shame. I was one of the few Nigerians that was over excited and expectant when the news of dislodging the monopoly of DSTV came up, i even went ahead to defend you guys in my office against the fears of my colleagu that HITV will set standards.

I waited patiently to subcribe to you hype of "proudly Nigerian" thing. It was only God that saved me that i didnt fell in for you EPL right and others.

I strongly believe HITV did not do its home work well. Urfriend, you always want us to believe that its only you people in HITV that knows what PayTV is all about. Many of us had lived in western world where PayTV is the other of the day, so please stop selling us that "crap".

PayTV is not rocket science my friend,
- why do u have to wait till you roll out before thinking of "superfast" activation software?
- why do u have to wait till now to start thinking of effective & efficient customer service?
- you want to spend the next two years searching for new channels to add to your bouquet while the subcribers continue to pay?

I am a witness to the launch of GTV in Ghana, which started about the same time as HITV. They have almost all they needed to provide efficient service ready, no wonder many Ghanians are dropping their DSTV for GTV.

You did not do your home work properly, HITV erronously believe that majority of Nigerians subscribe to Paytv solely because of football.

Pls urfriend, Are you telling us that those of the people like me who have upgrade there decorder to the 2.0.7 version should also bring it back for total upgrade. Pls do make your statement clear for people to understand cos many of us dont realy get what you are saying.

I upgrade my hitv decoder to 2.0.7 but I don't think there's any difference. even the zee cinema subtitling or is there any trick as to make it work?

Hope U guys know U can do a usb upgrade now? I did mine through usb and it worked but first disconnect the decoder from from  dish.

Hitv please put all necessary updates on your site so one can download and apply instead of making clients work miles to get their decoders updated.

He says its 5k per month sub. Expected to be paid on 4th of every month.

The whole thing is not clear to me yet. I dont know yet if their is any special modalities but I feel it should be legal if not I wouldnt be interested cause that means it may go at any time.

I am sending him a mail for further clarifications. I think with the channels he listed, its more channels than exists in the compact package.

Can HiTv offices actually cater for the traffic that will accrue if all subscribers were to bring their dishes for "upgrade"?

i have been absent from this thread for a while due to my exams but damn a lot of things has happened.what is happening to hitv.hitv cannot add just 3 channels,why do u pple at hitv promise and fail.it is so annoying.to pay for subscription again is another problem.i want to pay for my subcription now but i am already having headaches before going to the bank.Anyway i would still pay and hope i get activated soon

O boy, before we started clamouring for dstv smartcards, they were readily available even in Nairaland people were advertising it.

But now, its like looking for gold. Even the guy that promised me the card at 6k cant provide it at that price anymore but said it has doubled in price(yet its not certain if he can get it ).

I would think that its good business sense for DSTV to make their cards available so I will join you in calling for it.

Meanwhile, I was watching a sports programe on local AIT by Aisha Falode and she was advertising Live German league and French League matches on Daarsat's AIT SPORTS.

Has anyone here started watching daarsat?

Cant explain why,but hitv suddenly disconnected me when i still have about 5 days left on my subscription.
