Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in the country before now permitted only a withdrawal limit of N100,000 daily, but recently some banks have increased that amount to N150,000 daily. http://businessnews.com.ng/2012/10/10/banks-raise-atm-daily-withdrawal-limits/ |

Another Customer Elizabeth Nege, said the increased limit from N100, 000 to N150, 000 would allow her withdraw freely without queuing long hours in the banking hall to withdraw money, she praised the idea and demanded for a higher withdrawal limit if it will not affect the user in any negative way. . . .and this SAME person that would be the first to cry "I lost my ATM and now my 1million was withdrawn". |

I support removal of N100 interbank charge. and to reduce the ATM queues at banks, banks should create ATM galleries in various local goverments especially in commercial states like Lagos. |

etunoman76: Surely, you will be adversely affected if there is a fraudulent 'flooding' of your account. The maximum daily withdrawal limit mirrors your daily risk exposure, so banks can't just allow you to be overly exposed. For this same purpose, some banks are still sticking their guns on 100k/day maximum. |

It is not new at GT bank because I've been withdrawal N150,000 since April. If other banks are following their footstep it is good for them |

It would be a great news if 100NGN interbank withdrawal charges could be removed but i dont see that happening as the platform that makes interbank transaction possible i.e. Nigeria Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS) and Interswitch get their share of it and its either Deposit Banks engage them or be alone and deny their customer access to their fund via other bank's ATM/Platform. About Diamond Bank giving their customer a field day...that bank is damn smart, instead of procuring/investing in purchasing more ATMs, the bank diverted the fund to paying for their customers withdrawal over competitor's ATM which cost a fortune to maintain. 1 Like |
