REAL MADRID BECOME THE FRST TEAM TO EARN 500 AWAY VICTORIES IN LALIGA

The victory against Getafe was Real Madrid's 500th away from home out of the 1,257 matches they've played as visitors in La Liga.

The Whites' earned their first away victory against Barcelona on 17 February 1929. Morera scored the strikes that gave them a 2-1 victory. The team reached the 100 mark against Valencia on 25 November 1956 thanks to a brace by Alfredo di Stefano (2-1).

The 200th victory was earned against Sporting at El Molinon Stadium on 31 January 1971. Pirri scored the only strike in the game. The 300th win came against Espanyol on 17 October 1987 thanks to goals by Jankovic and Hugo Sanchez (2-1).

Guti, Hierro, Figo and Savio netted the strikes against Real Sociedad (4-0) to give the team its 400th away victory on 29 October 2000.

Iker Casillas has been awarded the IFFHS World's Best Goalkeeper award a third time running. Specialists, journalists and football experts from 86 countries vote for the winner. The only other goalkeeper to win the award three consecutive years was Inter Milan's Walter Zenga (1989, 1990, 1991).

The International Federation of Football HIstory & Satistics (IFFHS) has awarded the World's Best Club Coach of 2010 award to Jose Mourinho for winning the Italian League, Cup and Champions League titles last season. The coach received 294 points, while runner-up Guardiola received 188. Mourinho previously won the accolade in 2004 and 2005.

This is Real Madrid's best such record in 53 years and their best conceded goal average since the 1991/92 campaign

Mourinho's Real Madrid have kept a clean sheet in 15 of their 25 official games this season (0.6 conceded goals per match). These numbers have only been topped by the Real Madrid side of the 1957/58, which kept a clean sheet in 11 of 17 games (0.64 goals per match).

Real Madrid have conceded no goals in 8/16 league games, 5/6 Champions League encounters, and 2/3 Copa del Rey matches.

Jose Mourinho Wins FIFA Coach Of The Year Award
Mourinho has been acknowledged by FIFA as the best coach of 2010,

Real Madrid tactician Jose Mourinho has been named FIFA's 2010 Men's Football Coach of the Year for his treble-winning exploits with Inter last season.

Mourinho led the Nerazzurri to the Serie A, Coppa Italia and Champions League titles in the 2009-10 campaign. It was also the first time that an Italian team had won the treble.

The Portuguese left Inter in the summer to join Spanish giants Real Madrid. He has been successful with them so far too, with los Blancos just two points off the pace in the Spanish Primera Division and still in with a chance to win the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.

After receiving the award, the 47-year-old said, “I would like to congratulate two marvelous coaches: Vicente del Bosque and Pep Guardiola. I’ve worked very hard to reach this far, but I haven’t done it on my own.

"I want to thank my players, my colleagues and, especially, those who love me and who have supported me at all times to get to experience this very special moment.”
