Both. Daddy did the spoiling/punishment angle because he was a workaholic, while mummy did the nurturing. They always presented a united front, so I guess there was careful planning going on behind closed doors. Mum could not beat us, but she could throw things. . So when you piss her off just duck and run for your life.

Well, my DAD did a good job all by himself. My mum died when I was still very young, my dad spoke so fondly of her and didnt re-marry. Unfortanetely, he also died few years ago - 19years after my mum.
