Hello house gud afternoon. Pls I need advice. I have been denied once for student visa last year October. A family friend was my sponsor. Reasons for denial was insufficient funds. And I requested for a GCMS note to know my actual reason. Pls am suppose to have applied again but my sponsor then is no more showing interest. And I don't have any relative or parents that have money. Tho my sister is in Canada with husband and 3kids. But they have not really gotten a good job to act as my sponsor. Pls what should I do? Because I feel if I apply again I will be given this time. But my challenge now is to get a sponsor. Pls advice me house. Thanks

Section C is to be imputed with all relevant information about your sister's name, email, telephone number and other relevant information if applicable. Yes your sister is your representative to receive the Gcms notes on your behalf and should sign the column on representative before submitting it.

On your third trail which was successful, I have couple of questions.

First of all, can you throw more light on this Affidavit of return?.

Secondly, how did you go about Affidavit of return? Did you go to a high court to swear an Affidavit of return?

Lastly, how did you resolve the Travel history rejection?

@10shuare Which school is that? cos I don't think that's 100% true(they must have another option). The thing is your tuition fee can be refunded to you but only on the condition that you were denied trv (which we don't pray for), once you can show proof of the denial your tuition fee will be sent back to you. though some schools will collect some charges from it but it won't be much. Another way is you make sure you have all the funds under your care (in your own bank account )even if it means you opening a dorm account and explain to the vo why you have taken such move, also let the vo know you are ready to make payment once you get the go-ahead. NB: Any school that doesn't refund tuition fee at all will not ask you to pay for it until after trv has been approved, so ask your school to clarify what they meant by that

Thank u so much. Yes I will wait till September. But pls I have read all the threads but my problem now is the school said all fees am paying is not refundable. And that was the suggestion gurus gave me in the house to address the insufficient funds. Are u saying I should still go ahead paying the fees in my next application even wen the school has stated fees is not refundable?

Defer your admission. Why do you think the VO will treat your application in a special way and respond to your application in less than half the average processing time?

Also, why do you think the VO will treat your application drastically different if you are age 25 vs if you are age 26 at the time of application?

Either way, rushing to reapply doesn't help your cause of addressing all the issues from your previous application.

Per your question about your non-parent sponsor I already answered you about it in the past. Plus, this topic is probably the most highly discussed topic on the thread.

I'm afraid that you risk being denied for insufficient funds again if you are not willing to make the meagre investment of reading a few pages of the thread to identify how to address your previous insufficient funds denial.

Greetings to everyone in the house. So I was denied last month due to insufficient funds to pay my fees, take cr of myself, and living expenses and am to resume school in January 2018. I looked at the visa processing time and tot of deferring till may 2018.,I wrote to my school to know if I can actually defer but they said I can only defer till September for international students. And by then I will be 26 years. But I tot of risking it to apply again with my January admission letter this November as I can't wait till September 2018 as time is not on my side and due to my age, but this time pay my tuition fees and living expenses but then the school has said any fees paid is not refundable. And still my sponsor is not related to me in anyway.he is a family friend.pls advise me what should I do? Should I risk applying this November still with my January admission letter then just boost my sponsors account because he had 8milion in his account as at the time I applied in august and my school fees together with my living expenses is 7.5million. Pls advice what should I do? Gurus in the house pls look into my case! Thank you

I want to encourage everyone that have been denied never to give up, put in more effort and try to address all issues raised by the vo . I pray that the almighty God that perfect my own will also do yours.

Also I read through your comment history and see that you are applying for an undergraduate program. An additional recommendation I'd provide is that your sponsor show strong sources of income, as well as a bank statement with significant balance even after paying for tuition & living expenses.

You say your school fees & other expenses are approximately N7.5m. I'd suggest that your sponsor show a balance of much more than that amount even after paying your school fees & other expenses (because your program is four years long). Also, if your sponsor has dependents, the VO will not consider it credible that the sponsor will spend all of his/her savings on you. So your sponsor's bank statement balance must be more than enough to cover his/her dependents and your educational expenses.

Assuming your sponsor has a spouse and two kids, I'd suggest he/she show a bank statement balance of at least N15m (this is just my opinion) in order to show that he/she can comfortably sponsor you. As mentioned above, the sponsor would also provide proof of income and pay one year of your expenses ahead of time.

An undergraduate program is four years long and the VO needs to know that your sponsor is financially able to fund each of the four years.
