Literacy Map Of Nigeria by FSU: 9:33pm On Nov 18, 2012
''Female literacy is seen as the key to raising living standards for the next generation. For example, a newborn child is far likelier to survive if its mother is well-educated. In Nigeria we see a stark contrast between the mainly Muslim north and the Christian and animist south. In some northern states less than 5% of women can read and write, whereas in some Igbo areas more than 90% are literate.'' BBC

As usual, the backward north and their slaves trailing as usual.

We need true federalism or worst case 'Biafra'....... and that must be achieved in no distant time.

Isn't it surprising how the illiterates continue to rule this country. For those who claims to be literate start sending your children to the force and monitor them to high rank then encourage or mandate them to help their follow tribe get into military, custom, ndla, police, air force and more.

Who allowed them the opportunity to rule this time? Obasanjo already decimated them, then GEJ did same once again; but Tinubu and his gang of SW APC took us back to square one.

The South East and SS can not be trusted at this time. Bad track record in governance. It will be wrong for you to label Obasanjo with any derogatory name because he is a master planner with good intention, He allow Jonathan get to power but he mismanaged the golden opportunity,

What track records for SE are you referring to? Has there been a SE president? Who ruled Nigeria and put it in the mess since independence? Plus can you read with comprehension regarding my comments on Obasanjo?

Why I usually don't take these literacy report serious is because English is used as parameter. If we include Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa and Arabic the pendulum will swing.
