Re: The Christian Chatbox ( sticky) by Tovot: 6:42pm On Feb 12, 2015
Gracie embarassed .
HumbledbYGrace:
yes ma'am.
Of Course you should come with a date. I saw a church valentine's day service tagged- sexx and sanctitiy, and it got me wondering if Pastors cant preach about any other thing apart from sexx, keeping yourself, right partner etc, what ever happened to sermons about showing love to one another everyday? helping the needy, loving and respecting your body etc?

@ bolded Interesting. What if you be my date?

The Pastor in question might mean no harm. On the other hand, it could be a strategy to draw people to his church.

That would have been cool, but I already have my choir robe, my freezer and my pillow as dates grin .

Hello *peeps* it's another day to show love (agape) to people around you. Do that without pretence and get rewards from the Lord.

May Jesus bless you all!

The story is told of an old man who lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson.

Each morning, Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table
reading from his old worn-out Bible. His grandson who wanted to be just like him tried to imitate him in any way he could.

One day the grandson asked,
“Papa, I try to read the Bible just like you but I don’t understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book.

What good does reading the Bible do?”
The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and said, “Take this coal basket down to the river and bring back a basket of water.”

The boy did as he was told, even though all the water leaked out before he could get back to the house.

The grandfather laughed and said, “You will have to move a little faster next time,” and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again.

This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home.
Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was “impossible to carry water in a basket,” and he went to get a bucket instead. The old man said, “I don’t want a bucket of water.
I want a basket of water. You can do this. You’re just not trying hard enough,” and he went out the door to watch the boy try again.

At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would leak out before he got far at all.
The boy scooped the water and ran hard, but when he reached his grandfather the basket was again empty.

Out of breath, he said, “See Papa, it’s useless!”

The old man said, “So you think it is useless?
Look at the basket.”

The boy looked at the basket and for the first time he realized that the basket looked different.
Instead of a dirty old coal basket, it was clean.

“Son, that’s what happens when you read the Bible.
You might not understand or remember everything, but when you read it, it will change you from the inside out.”

That is the work of the Word of God in our lives . . . to change us from the inside out and to progressively transform us into the image of His Son.

Take plenty of bites today.... You can't have too much of it.

~Much Love~

More and more christian ladies are dressing so seductively in the name of fashion i guess they have forgotten that part of the scripture that says and i quote "Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin, I will never eat it again, so that I will not cause them to fall." ........ 1 Corinthians 8:13

This can be directly related to our day-to-day activities, if wearing a type of dress will make the opposite sex LUST after you, and hence SIN, and you go ahead to wear it, then my brethren you have committed a sin!

More ever God is not interested in your unclothedness so you are not appeasing him by dressing half-naked. The bible said 'be moderate and Godly in all you do'

I HOPE THAT'S CLEAR ENOUGH

Borrowing is ungodly. Wearing clothes on credit is unholy.
Read this:
"For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as He promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee" Deu. 15:6

Brethren, lets partake of the greatest event of the century, for the first time, the entire body of Christ would be shouting a loud hallelujah at the same time, giving praise to God at the same time,as one voice for the first time... get involved as we literary give God an earth shaking praise... Spread the word, make this trend #hallelujah7

For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. But these three are not GOD, for there is one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in us all.(Ephasians 4:6) And all things are of God, who have reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, for through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father (Ephesians 2:18). And truly our fellowship should be with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. ( 1 John 1:3) For the Lord our God is one Lord (Deuteronomy 6:4). And Jesus Christ His only begotten Son (John 1:14). But Just as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, even so our minds has been be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For the world has preached another Jesus, and we have all received another spirit, and another gospel, which was not preached by the prophets neither by Christ nor his Apostles. "For this was their record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has no life in him." (1 John 5:11-12) "And this is life eternal, that we might know Him the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom God has sent. " (John 17:3). "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" (1 Timothy 2:5) "Neither is there salvation in any other person of the Godhead: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12). For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many, as believed by the trinitarian and Unitarian) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, ( the originator of all things) and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. ( 1 corinthians 8:5-6).  And He that is joined unto the Lord Jesus Christ is One Spirit with the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:17). Now the Lord Jesus Christ is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (2 corinthians, 3:17)
