...where unscrupulous politicos can all to easily incite gullible voters with existing ethnic rivalries? Especially when many of the electorate don't have a firm grasp of the issues? Look at the Asian tigers as everyone always advises ad nauseaum.Singapore,Malaysia and S Korea were under firm authoritarian rule in the early 70s when their national indices were identical and occasionally worse than ours-look what Lee Kuan Yew and Mahathir Moh'd accomplished;first world economies in a generation-without minerals!!
Democracy in the true sense as understood by its Athenian founders was only for those with the emotional, intellectual and spiritual development to chose wisely for the greater good of society. Obviously women, slaves and the poor were disqualified,in fact only men of a certain station were allowed to participate.
Looking at the displaced energy, professional Communist style agit prop and mobilisation of idle youths all for rhetoric with neither slight grasp or interest of national issues by ruthless professional conmen complicit with utterly unscrupulous media who should be in jail I truly wonder-is democracy really suited for our level of political development?
The idea came when media allies (paid lackeys) of the above named conmen began 'analysing' the implications of Uhuru stepping down for a newcomer, named Musalia,EVEN THOUGH NEITHER PARTY HAS ADMITTED TO SUCH AN AGREEMENT!! The alliance of unethical Media and political conmen has great peril for 3rd world. You have your own Ibos,Yorubas and Fulanis while we have our Kikuyus,Kales and Luos but the heart of the matter I do believe is similar if not identical.
What says NL? Should we continue wherever untrammeled US style 'democracy' takes us or should we apply at least a minimum of standards with dire consequences for transgressors?

In all these write ups the main issue of WHY Uhuru with at least 4.5 mn votes and Ruto, his running mate with 1.5 mn would take orders from a Johnny Come lately with at most 50% of his Luhya peoples 3.5 mn vote basket.Instead all these 'analysts', concentrated on how Uhuru had finally decided to endorse Musalia in a completely unprofessional manner without pretence of objectivity
