plaetton: There he goes with his assignments again.Lol, neither am I your sunday school teacher. If he claims he knows what tithing is from the bible, then he should be prepared to tell us exactly what tithing is from the bible with no problems at all. |

Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by Nobody: 8:52pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
Mr_Anony: Ok then, kindly explain to us what tithing is according to the bible. Tithing is a Jewish law, an old testament law on giving 10 percent of their produce or bounty for religious purposes (either to charity/levites/synagoges or even god, depending on your interpretation) So, is this seriously what you say that I do not understand? You know, you are arrogant, Mr Anony, you assume things that you dont know in an insulting manner. If I was a Nigerian christian for 22 years, surely I should know what tithing is basically about. Even a muslim can explain it in terms of Zakat |
Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by MrAnony1(m): 9:10pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
Logicboy03:Biblically please. You just gave me a generic explanation that doesn't show that you know this from bible study. Almost every idiot knows that tithing is giving 10% of your income. To prove to me that you know what biblical tithing is all about, please explain tithing using scripture. What is tithing? Why was tithing introduced and who is the beneficiary of tithes and why is he/she the beneficiary of tithes and why is tithing important? Should a christian pay tithes? if yes why? and if no why not? Anyone who has actually studied the bible would easily know this. |

^^^^ Wtf, Is this a jamb exam? What is the punishment for failure? If every id.io.t knows the basic meaning of tithing , wtf else matters about biblical tithing? what is the difference between generic tithing and biblical tithing? |

In The Name of The Only God. Salaam/Peace. Odd thing is that in Islam Muslims give 2.5% of their income to charities, etcetera. Salaam/Peace. DevotedOne |

plaetton: ^^^^ This is the claim logicboy made Logicboy03:......However, you cant claim that I do not know about tithing when I have read the bible and you have no evidence to back up your caimSince he knows about tithing by reading the bible, then he must explain tithing using the bible. |

Logicboy03: He is really turning into something else.Getting very desperate by the day. I am sure there is nothing he would love more than the opportunity to rewrite the bible to suit himself. He seems to have a big problem with the bible whenever a sovereign mind uses it to buttress a point. The inerrant word of god indeed! |

plaetton: Lolz.......I think I have suffered and endured the most anonyism on this forum. Anony has argued that genocide/slaver in the bible are not really genocide/slavery with me. He has remixed the bible so much that Muskeeto and I use the King Anony James version of the bible |
Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by MrAnony1(m): 10:43pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
Logicboy03:Lol, ad hominem much. Anyway all well and good. You probably did a quick bible search for the word "tithe" ypur response isn't satisfactory but that's ok. It'll do for now. Now knowing that tithing is aimed at feeding the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, the widow e.t.c. Can you tell me why you think tithing is wrong? Remember this is what you said Logicboy03: Since we have now established what the says about tithes, why then are you against it? |
Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by Nobody: 10:48pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
Mr_Anony: Mainstream tithing in Nigerian protestant churches is different. Their interpretation is "tithe to the church/pastor" for rewards. |
Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by plaetton: 10:54pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
Mr_Anony: First, many christians tell me that christianity is about jesus' new convenant, and therefore old testament laws and traditions are null and void. Well pressed against the wall of common sense, Many othery christians also claim that old testament is Judaism , while new testament is christianity. Therefore, using an ancient hebrew tradition to incorporate a form of taxation into the new covennant of jesus is very contradictory and even fraudulent. Second, charity and benevolence are important pillars of almost all religions. Taxation, tithing, or by whatever other name you call it, that is unaccounted for ad not used for the benefit of all, especially the needy and the tithers themselves, is exploitation, evil, immoral, and illegal in many nations. It is the duty of everyone to stand up against any form of exploitation. 1 Like |

Mr_Anony: The part in bold is your opinion and has no biblical support. . .The bible actually states that if you give cheerfully, the god it talks about will bless you in return and double your money. . .The bible clearly states that its god is a money doubler as long as you give him freely. . . 1 Like |
Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by MrAnony1(m): 11:19pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
Logicboy03:You see, that interpretation of tithing is wrong and it is not mainstream as it does not represent Chritianity. At least now you know what the bible actually says about tithes. |
Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by Nobody: 11:24pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
Mr_Anony: Are you foolish? What the hell do you mean that NOW I know? Didnt I know before? Mtchew......commot with your Anonyism |
Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by MrAnony1(m): 11:25pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
plaetton:You see, even though I agree with you that tithing is unchristian, I do not think that the government has the right to make tithing illegal. I believe everyone is free to choose their religion and if their religion entails giving a percentage of their salary or even all of it to some pastor or imam, then they are free to do so. It is their money. However what they are practicing is not christianity. |
Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by MrAnony1(m): 11:28pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
Logicboy03:No you didn't know before because if you did, you would not have been attacking "tithing" as a "christian thing" |
Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by plaetton: 11:31pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
Mr_Anony: So why do most christians, especially Nigerian churchpreneurs, use the wrong interpretation of tithing? Is is because they do not read the scripture, they read the wrong scripture, or is it just the case of the same old moral schizophrenia that is an embedded part of the judeo-chiristian religions? After all, Pope Leo X , fifth century pope and head of the christian religion did make this statement: "This myth of Christ has served us most profitably so far". |
Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by Nobody: 11:34pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
Mr_Anony: See this guy! What nonsense is this? Dont the protestants practice their greedy tithing? How is it not a christian thing. You have nothing to offer |

Logicboy03:How is it a christian thing if the bible does not support it? |
Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by plaetton: 11:37pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
Mr_Anony: For me,Its not really about tithing per say. And for any govenrment, it should not be about tithing. The issue for me has always been how that money is accounted for and for whose benefit it is for. The government has every right to enact legislation requiring that any publicly donated funds in the form of tax, offering, tithe, seed sowing etc, has to be properly accounted for and be the sole property of the church, which itself is a public institution. |
Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by Nobody: 11:37pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
Mr_Anony: Your interpretation of the bible doesnt support it but their interpretation does. NEXT! |
Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by MrAnony1(m): 11:46pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
plaetton:As I always say, not all who claim to be christians are indeed christians. Secondly, you may want to ask them why they have stubbornly chosen to interpret scripture wrongly? plaetton:Urhm........quite frankly, what a religion does with their money is absolutely none of your business. As for the rights of the government, Why should the governments tax it's citizens and then go on to tax the people who have been freely donated to. That is like taxing the citizen twice. It is not the business of the government to stick it's nose into the accounts of recipients of free-will donations. And yeah...the church is not a public institution in that sense. |

Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by Nobody: 11:50pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
Mr_Anony: I dont have any "interpretation". I am not a christian. I just use people's interpretation against them. |
Re: Use Your Tithe Money To Give Food To The Hungry by MrAnony1(m): 11:53pm On Dec 09, 2012 |
