NaijaNaWaa: I hate any attempt at comparing Android with iOS especially comparing Samsung Galaxy S 3 with iPhone, whether 5 or 10, offends me. To be clear, Samsung/ Android is just in another class and world.

By the way, my S3 is currently updated to Jelly Bean 4.1.1. I'll upgrade to 4.1.2 using my office Wi Fi tomorrow.

No doubt Android is the future of mobile computing but Nigerian Telcos haven't yet come up with reasonable Data rates for smart phone users. So that would still make Blackberry the best choice for Nigerians.

The jelly bean IMO is a revamped ics basically.Apart from Google now , there is nothing much different from ics eg the multi window views, automatic music play, contextual tagging etc have always been in ics.it was Samsung that hadn't integrated them in their Android versions.my one cent

I use Galaxy S3. I guess it will be same with other Android phones:

1. Go to Settings
2. About Device
3. Software Update
4. Check for updates

In my own case, in 4 above, I checked "Check for updates automatically", that way whenever there's an update and a Wi Fi service, I'll be notified.

this is wat i have... and i didn't see any automatic update option

Oh it's not a nexus phone.its a HTC hd2 windows phone which I modded to run android .the Samsung galaxy nexus source was what I modified and mashed up with Cyanogenmod .I also used a modified ubuntu linux kernel

Cyanogenmod can run on nexus s as well as galaxy nexus..it has to be on a modded rom though,

As I dey see Chinese for the image so, e be like say your own na awaa. Anyway, from the image you posted, click Software Update. Then you'll see "Update" and the rest. Click Update and you'll be ok.
